Not starting an argument here, at this point I would feel ashamed to even try to argue about it. Yet, are we saying that Ariana Grande has a better voice than Whitney OR Mariah Carey!? I guess it's all subjective. BTW, The "Coloratura Sopranos* eat the whistle registers for breakfast 💔

I was 16 when this was released. I just turned 48 and I’m wondering where the time went.
I am also from 1973 :)
As we say here in Russia: flew out of the exhaust pipe... I'm 44 and the first time I've ever seen Madonna was this video!
I'm from 74 and I love this song!!! MASTERPIECE!!! 🤩💕🎶🎧
@@sandromauro3083 You look really good though. From 74??
I was 10
I fell in love the first I heard this . I will never be bored of the song .

Madonna for ever!! It’s 2020 but this song is timeless!
One of her best much less controversial songs😂🙌👍
Listen to it 500 more times in a row and say the same thing
Are you really saying this in a Madonna music video? xD
Truth
@@MagicalCinnamon I continue to Madonna since its inception in 1982, was born a year before it, (I was born in 1957), I am a person with a few years older than you, in those 1980's the music was different, was not required to arrangers, synthesizers, and dressing in an inappropriate way, everything was more natural, and it takes me back to those years when life was more calm and simple, now that Madonna has changed her style and songs over time is something else, I just mean "that "A video clip, which every time I watch and listen to it evokes the most pleasant memories of my youth.
GREAT song, GREAT video!!!
No DOUBT she is the GREATEST female artist of ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL time!!!
This is so positive, joyous and light-hearted without being dumb and cheesy,an accomplishment. Also, iconic video,as usual.
80s n 90s songs re super good
Someone in 2024?
Hai hai!!
Yes I'm listening to this in 2024, I remember when it came out😂 great taste in music
Umm yea!! Everyday since the late 80's early 2000 and still going song.
Yes
Да ❤
Such a carefree and romantic video and song. I grew up to Madonna in this pop era.
Me 2-queen of pop 2 me
...and people today don't know how much she cleared the way for other women to be more free.
Cherish the thought
Of always having you here by my side
Oh baby, I cherish the joy
You keep bringing it into my life
I'm always singing it, cherish your strength
You got the power to make me feel good
And baby, I perish the thought
Of ever leaving, I never would
This is so unmistakably the work of Herb Ritts. He had a gift for letting his stars be completely comfortable with their sensuality.
Watch Wicked Game by Chris Isaak and Love Will Never Do (Without You) by Janet Jackson for further proof of that. He's still missed.
All 3 songs are classics.
thank u for pointing that out,,,,a true master of his craft
He had been friends with Madonna since late 1984, when he shot lots of photos for Desperately Seeking Susan. It's hard to believe he's now been dead for 18 years ☀️
Herb true genius sadly left us 😙
i cried over this song in memory of my best friend that just passed away today.. we both big fans of M and used to sing this together .. my heart hurt like never before
🙏❤️🙏❤️
I’m sorry for your loss
Rest in paradise to your beautiful friend❤
Hi, maybe you already know that, they are always with you in spirit, we will do the same when we pass, for our loved ones 💜🌹✨
Perfection still in 2023
It's HD remastered now.
One of the best classic madonna’s hits… love her 🥰
BEST SELLING FEMALE ARTISTS OF ALL TIME: MADONNA AND CELINE DION!!!!!!
+Cshlssa Schalt é verdade
Whitney had a voice, Janet had some moves, Mariah has Christmas but Madonna is a master of melody. No one has come close to rival her sense of pop perfection
I agree about Madonna but the others are all MEEHHh to me apart from Whitney who was THE voice, Madonna respected her and Whitney was the only one who actually understood and respected Madonna, never Whitney said a bad word about Madonna either!
Agree. Madonna is an entertainer, visionary, an interruption in the music industry and plus her songs were perfect for the times as far as lyrics, and as you said, melody.
I was born with "Perfect Pitch". Mariah's pitch is impeccable, her range greater than radar, and the most pulchritudinous of all!
@@richardcogan7297 shall we agree that 1) you are talking about the past and 2) live performances say otherwise!?
Not starting an argument here, at this point I would feel ashamed to even try to argue about it. I'm saying that, personally, the young Whitney holds the perfect pitch, if you are looking for theLIVE whistle register then look at Ariana Grande. Yet, are we saying that Ariana Grande has a better voice than Whitney OR Mariah Carey!? I guess it's all subjective. BTW, The "Coloratura Sopranos* eat the whistle registers for breakfast 💔
Uhhh no
Madonna at her most beautiful. So cool, carefree and oozing with talented!
What a pretty and fascinating woman ,hello, my darling ?
👍♥️
One of the coolest synth bass parts, in pop music....
Absolute masterpiece of Madonna and Herb Ritts. Love this song and especially video ❤
At this point in time she could do no wrong ! I loved her and this song. Her expression was new and real. Thanks Madonna ! You Made me so happy ! 💙

True Story 😍😍😍
Agreed, this song just flows in a perfect way ❤
Uma das melhores músicas de todos tempos.
Happy 30th Anniversary to Like a Prayer album. I’ve been captivated since Lucky Star and Borderline. Madonna, I will always CHERISH you forever.
Gb
I feel the same
I love that album.
Now in HD, thanks my queen 👑
I was 15 when this came out and Madonna was life!
At 9 years old, I kinda knew this song would define me. At 42 years old I have been proven right, single af and still longing for that special person. For many years that messed with my head, but I learned to deal with it. This song still warms my heart with what could be, what might be, and I'm okay with it if it never happens. There is joy with just existing, and I cherish that.
@@drogon2339 What a lovely thing to say, thank you 🙂
Beautiful 😘
Yup
I understand you, I am not too far from your age and remember this song when I was really little. I have yet to have that certain someone, but I sometimes live in a fantasy world. I am in love with a deceased celebrity, and this song is one of several songs that make me think of him.
Hey you! Thank you for sharing that! I am 42 and in the same boat. We're not alone! One day, mate!
