GOD BLESS YOU! You saved me so much money I had two completely fine expensive umbrellas that faded due to the sun. I was looking to replace them and got so pissed off at the cost to replace perfectly fine umbrellas. I came across you site and saw how you refurbished your umbrella without taking it off the frame. I took my butt immediately to Home Depot and purchased two cans. I refurbished my umbrellas and look just beautiful. Many blessings to you and yours and thank you for saving so many of us money.
Thanks for this!! I wanted to see someone accomplish this WITHOUT taking the cover off the supports, because I don't think ours can be taken apart like that. Thanks so much! I am really excited to tackle this now. Our lovely "happy purple" has faded to "mopey gray" and it just isn't as pleasant anymore! LOL!
This method looks so much easier. I am doing this. Thank you so much for posting! Blessings to you! Follow up: I did it and it turned out BEAUTIFUL! Thanks again for your awesome video.
It’s that time of year when we’re all looking for a way to refurbish our faded umbrellas lol! I couldn’t believe it when I saw my umbrella…ugh! I’m definitely going to try it your way . Thanks for sharing!
How many cans of paint did you have to purchase? I'm doing this for patio cushions now and was wondering if it would work for my umbrella also so THANK YOU!
I had an umbrella that I purchased from Lowe’s. It was Hunter Green it finally faded out after about five years! I order a replacement from Amazon 2 years ago but didn’t use it until last summer and it’s faded out already. Its built well just the fabric color was screwy…it’s red! Thanks for the video! Thinking Hunter Green again❤
Practical process. I recommend to wear eye protection and a respiraror for spray painting, also, tu put protection for the grass, like corrugated cartons.
Why not show the finished product? Did it still have spray paint stripes? If it came out good, seems like you would show the end result and not change the camera angle.
I’m using Tulip Colorshot Fabric Spray Paint and it doesn’t have the sprayer attachment, but I’m sure I can accomplish the same great result. I wanted to see someone else’s technique, so thank you! Your umbrella turned out great!
Spray paint still Expensive and needs more than one coat. I’m currently doing mine…6 cans of spray paint and One can covered only one triangle/portion/flap… but yes I save a bit of money but a-lot of work.
@@AsmrAfterDark My umbrella is burnt orange. I would use the same color paint. Had you keep with a similar color of rose for your paint as your umbrella, do you think you could of gotten by with 2 cans.
If there is nothing structurally wrong with the old one, why not just put in the time and effort to refurbish it? I actually found this because I came specifically looking for successful videos of others doing it before I tackled ours. Sometimes it just feels good to save something from going to the landfill.

Awe. Thank you. I would LOVE to see how it turned out!! If you are on Instagram- please tag me or send it to me @melissaLcrain
SAME! I'd bought fabric dye but was having major doubts on the longevity.
First video that actually did what it said it was gonna do. Thanks for getting to the point unlike the other videos we tried to find.

Hi! Yes this way is MUCH easier on the brackets. Please tag me when you complete yours! I would LOVE to see how it turns out.
That part!
Awesome! Thank you for sharing how to do it. I can imagine you and results are just fine. Cool Green house too!!
Thank you. 😁
Excellent. Your video is my favorite for painting a faded patio umbrella. The spray paint and position of the umbrella is perfect. Thanks for sharing

Yay!!!! Which color did you go with?
@@AsmrAfterDark I went from faded flowers to a glossy black. It matches my patio decor so much better.

Oh, I bet the hunter green will look amazing!!
I've done this before. I used the fabric paint. By the time I finished it cost a lot in paint.

Excellent work thank you sure beats spending 80 or 90 dollars on a new umbrella
thanks for sharing (cute dogs!)
Thank you
I did a whole vintage sofa chase and it’s phenomenal !!! Wish I could show y’all.

I liked it after that first coat with the pink coming through.
How many cans of paint did you use...and where did you get the trigger attachment for the spray can...Great video
Hi. This 9 foot umbrella ended up taking 3 full cans. The trigger attachment came from Home Depot.

@@AsmrAfterDark do you think the trigger makes the paint go on a lot better? Also, do you think u have to use the fabric paint?
Great idea Thank you
Thank you 😊
I did this and it came out nice. I used four cans. The only problem I have spots on the underside of the umbrella. What to do?
You could feather out the paint on the inside. I wonder if that would help with the spotting. Which color did you choose ?
Is there a reason the umbrella wasn't shown after you finished? How many coats were applied?
Thanks! Great help.
How many cans did you have to use?
Do they make a paint that you could just paint on with a brush for fabric?
They do. However, you have to pick it up from a craft store.
Nice!
How many cans did you need?

How did you do the underside with all the hardware?
Hi. I didn't have to do the inside since it was still in great shape. You can cover each rod with newspaper and masking/painters tape.
Hey everyone... guess what I saw today at homedepot?!

Why did the video cut off? You didn’t even show how the I’m released came out. Bummer
How many cans of paint did you use for this project?😊
I believe 3 cans with touch ups.
anyone try to use fabric dyes in the washer? if so did it work?
Oh, that is a great idea. Let me know if you try it.
Wow, as if the video wasn’t painful enough to watch…you activate slow motion? And can’t see the finished results that well.
This paint is expensive and takes many cans to complete.
Hmm I think ill just buy a new one 😬
Que tipo de pintura es ?
Es una pintura en aerosol para tela de Home Depot.
How many cases of spray paint did she use.?😂😂😂😂. All those cfcs in the air
Just buy a new one this is crazy

When it’s not summer or when it’s raining by a tarp put a tarp over it

You so know you can buy a new canvas cheaper than all the cans of spray paint, right?
