The pipe has to be high, but you could make the inner compartment deeper (and expand it horizontally) for more space. You might have to get a bigger tin sheet, and if you cant, only make it deeper.

I used to design and oversee the construction of municipal drainage networks, and a huge part of my internship was designing with RCP up to 4 metres Ø. I used to wonder, what happens if we bury two or three sections of 2 metre diameter RCP, cap each end, and have risers to a special manhole chamber? Being a hydraulic civil engineer, i was to design calculate, test etc large systems but obviously have never had access to heavy equipment like construction workers do other than in official work so it never happened.
U may need to install a ventilation system and a door, because otherwise you can get visited by everyone/anything or you´ll only have air for like 15 min. But anyway a great video.
This guy deserves a Nobel prize, Every single subscriber that has ever existed and a part in the next Avengers movie because he built a bomb shelter from 1000 pound pipe that he moved basically on his on bad foot that got stabbed with a giant rusty screw, built it right by a active snake hole and tested it with bunch of gross bugs in it!😮

Hey man, you ain’t the only one who stepped on something sharp. When plumbers were fixing the pipes, my dad left some wood outside the house next to the garbage can. And when I was taking out the trash, I accidentally stepped on a nail attached to the wooden board. Luckily, it didn’t come loose from the board, so I was able to just lift my foot while stepping on the board to separate my foot from it. After that I went to get rubbing alcohol in order to disinfect the wound and used a bandaid to prevent stuff from getting in the wound. (Good thing the nail was not rusted.) I’m kinda surprised I was able to just pull it out, while making only a flinch and not a scream… …and yet, I’m still afraid of vaccines…
