@Wil Frank men have been acting like they don't need women for much longer. Don't get mad that women verbalised it, and men didn't yet have done so for much longer. Look at her conversation with James Baldwin. Why wouldn't women come to that conclusion when it feels like you're hitting a wall all the time. Clearly, everyone needs everyone. HOWEVER, sometimes you must remove yourself from a bad situation, and women are removing themselves from the idea that a woman must be as mentally dependent on a man as she once was. To let him go and be free so she can be free too. No one needs to beg a man to stay when he so clearly wants to do whatever he wants, but when the RIGHT man comes around, then he is extremely welcome and respected. We don't need ALL men. We are, in essence, more selective and more careful with the men we let in our lives. Isn't that a good thing?? Because if we let everyone in, men would blame us for being careless. We're not being as careless as the older generations anymore. Why would anyone be opposed to that unless they have bad intentions? Do you?
