I bought this tank yesterday and it's all set up, however the over flow pipe is so noisy I can't even watch the tv 😒. Any suggestions in making it quieter?
It's been a long time since I had this tank I'm afraid - the return pump might need adjusting but you're probably best going on a forum and asking there
No idea I'm afraid - I sold this tank a couple of years ago. But you should be able to work out the volume by measuring it - there are some good aquarium volume calculators online 🙂
Hi, what brand is your return pump? I have the standard return pump that came with the tank, but It’s too strong for the tank and it’s not adjustable. Thanks so much
I'd probably just about recommend it. It's handy having a par meter and it emails you temperature/out of water alerts if you have the Web server. But for that part is quite expensive and the par meter only comes out on special occasions. It's a better 2nd hand buy for me - doesn't really do enough to justify the new asking price.
Have you done anything to make the overflow pipe quiet. I've got the same tank and it makes a gurgling sound in the pipe and creates a lot bubbles in the sump
Alex Brooke-Smith thanks mate mines the standard return pump which I believe is about 2500, I'll put in a valve and dial it back a bit see if that helps
I went for around filter sock it fits in the square holder perfectly and easy to remove no need to remove the pipe
Nice video and great looking sump setup :)

Hi bud, sorry to bother you. I have a aqua one oakstyle 450. Could that be moved to marine?
Yeah, you'll be limited on filtration options so use live rock if you can...
I was wondering if you knew how much water the sump holds (for dosing purposes) I can find any information on it. Thanks in advance.

I shut this tank down a while ago so I can't remember now. But I think it was a Jecod 2,000
Reef Dork thank you!

Matt Brignull Mine's been silent from the start. I run my return pump at about 1,000 lph - if yours is higher, that could be the cause.

I extended the pipe further below the Waterline cost me about $7 at the local hardware store
