Really, a big part of the problem with Umbral Horrors is just the way they were written in the anime. Vector's thing was that he changed up his strategy almost every time he appeared: in one duel, he'd play Master Key Beetle Turbo, in another, he'd play a mill strategy that used Masquerade to knock the last few cards out of his opponent's deck, in yet another, he'd combo Don Thousand's Throne with Manipulator of Strings to punish the opponent for attacking him, and in yet another, he'd play a deck based on turboing out Number C monsters. It's very cool and made him unpredictable as a character, but it also means that the Umbral Horrors themselves kind of end up being this weird underdeveloped skeleton that he uses just to fill out the first few turns before he can get out the Xyz he's using that week.
Let’s also talk about how Butterspies Lack Support to Make them Even Playable At all! They seriously do Not have a Game plan other than Summoning “Photon Alexandria Queen”!
An old archetype I used to play that I wish would get some modern support: Mist Valley. They have a playstyle, but there's no real payoff in the end. They bounce stuff...and that's it. Apex Avian is a Once-per-CHAIN omni-negate, which is great, but nearly every other card besides Thunderbird and Divine Wind (which is limited still) does next to nothing to give advantage. From small attack buffs to gimmicky battle phase situations (Shaman, Falcon), they were outdated on release back in Duel Terminal/Hidden Arsenal. Their boss monster is also laughably bad, with it's effect being a quick effect bounce for 500 attack boost (up to 3100). Instead of having a bunch of random effects that REQUIRE a bounce, a new wave of support should focus on BEING bounced in order to disrupt the opponent or gain some sort of advantage. Also, I didn't include Condor or Wurm. If we include those two, then that adds 1 more good card to the archetype.
Reactors, Iron Chains, Aquaactress... As someone who grew up with Structure Deck: Realm of the Sea Emperor I'd also like to have Atlanteans be viable without using them as an accessory to another archetype. Also some more cards to make Burning Skull Head a playable strat coupled with reprints of the original cards (they are hard to get promo cards) would be nice.
-The easiest way to boost an archetype is to give them a Poplar. Worked out for Tachyon. The deck isn't good enough to beat current meta but the deck is better now. -Konami simply printing one (1) card to support a random archetype they feel like boosting in every set is just odd. They print so many filler card that don't have to exist but giving Triamid more than one subpar spell is too much work apparently? They often take WAY too long to even print a singular support card for an archetype that isn't even rogue status. -Exosister may not be an old archetype but the deck has been in limbo every since Power of the Elements and the only reason Exosister can steal games every now and then is thanks to Dimensional Shifter since it does what Exosister wish they could do consistently and with an immediate impact. Martha's archetype lock is so obscenely harsh that I am still baffled by Konami's decision to leave the deck as it is for 2 years as of August this year. The Exosister Xyz line up are so pitifully underpowered that only Mikailis offers the user any form of substantial disruption during the opponent's turn and only if she was summoned that turn because a quick effect banish every turn for an archetype as weak as Exosister was too much apparently. Magnifica is honestly too costly to summon at times and summoning her with the standard Exosister combo can get you Nibiru'd and instantly lose the game anyway. Meanwhile Returnia is definitely a trap card of all time. It's amazing that Konami leaned so heavily into the yuri trope that Returnia cannot be activated if you control a token, a Kaiju type monster, or even a set monster because the threat of your Exosister Xyz being flipped face down was definitely something the archetype needed to keep it in check.
If we’re getting more “gradius” support, probably just two. 1: a more advanced power capsule which works for all ships, 2: level 4 machine that lets other machines be unaffected by your opponent’s card effects. And that’s really it.
Id like a Umi/legendary ocean archtype with retrains of deepsea warrior, spear shellfish, torpedo fish, etc. They need effects in addition to spell immunity and an extra deck monster.
Ghost trick could be fixed with an extra deck monster that destroys link monsters/ or monsters with no defense. It could lead to a series of support that focuses on targeting monsters with low defense/ weakening defenses or locking the opponent out special summoning. If that effect is too strong it could be limited to only link summoning or having specific conditions for targeting other forms of special summoning.
It'd be nice to see Ghostrick get some more modern support. The recent stuff from a few years ago is good, but they need extenders. A Flip based deck is much too slow these days. Perhaps some new support to play into Angel of Mischief's win condition?
Hunders aren't meant to be a deck unto themselves, they're more of a mini-engine for other Thunder decks (all two of them). Playing them "pure" isn't recommended, but shoving them into Watts or Batteryman produces great results.
Penguins and battle guards need more support, they work decently well together as penguins send cards to hand and that's where a few battleguard effects activate but they're way too slow and don't have many bosses aside from battleguard king and the white aura synchro monsters
Meanwhile, Cloudians still need a +1 normal summon per turn to use (some of) their effects, have no protection, have a boss monster that breaks attribute/type theme, have no way to negate / bounce / interrupt, and can be punched though for easy games despite battle-destruction immunity. I swear they could be fixed with just 2-3 cards, and I hope they get the love they deserve someday. In the meantime, I'll stick with madolche. At least *they* get consistent support.
I had an idea recently for a Hunder XYZ monster that could actually be used in conjunction with Thunder Sea Horse by just making it effectively an Exosister,/Typhon, using your opponent's turn to wonder XYZ into it. Then give it an on-summon effect to activate Spirit Converter from deck/hand and a quick effect scrap dragon destruction effect since it'll be your only endboard piece and- actually now it just feels like I'm making Drident 2.
If Hunder get original support I think it should just be "Gramphunder of the Thunderspark" and "Grammhunder of the Thunderspark" Xyz Thunder monsters, a Number C for Thunderspark Dragon and a Thunder-type support Field Spell "Thunder Homestead".
Mecha Phantom Beasts need some new support that helps their strategy... its my favorite archetype in the game and its just sad how they don't have a semi decent opening strategy outside of being used for Link Spam

TLDR: more generic number xyz support PLEASE Konami Before watching, I'm just gonna say i desperately want MORE number xyz support and number xyz cards. i absolutely LOVE the number Xyz theme and want more. I also want more numbers to get chaos forms. To be clear though, when i say number xyz support I don't mean for the different sub archetypes within the overall number archetype. I mean actual NUMBER support like astral kuriboh or astraltopia that help aid in consistency of being able to get different numbers out. As cool as they are... I'm tired of utopia this, shark that, gimmick puppet here etc. there are so many cool number xyz monsters that deserve a chance but become useless because their lvl requirements prevent them from being playable in decks that would want them.
I would like to see some new support for Earth/Machine Trains/Railguns. It’s a deck that I really want to both own and play with for a while now in the physical TCG. Sure, I did play that deck digitally in Duel Links with Anna Kaboom, but I want to play it physically.
I would really like the two other character themes for Supreme Darkness set to be Greiger with 6 new cards for Reactor + 1 new Earthbound Immortal card. And Ayu with 3 Aquaactress pendulums, an Aquarium field spell and a new Aqua Story trap.
I know, it's probably gonna be something like Appliancer as the secondary character theme. But I'd rather see Greiger support. Btw, if you haven't noticed, the secondary character theme of the last 5 sets have been Machine or Machine-like(Raid Raptors) from each of the different series.
The archetypes that I want to receive support the most currently are Neos The archetype isn't in a terrible spot or anything currently hell if anything with all the support it's gotten over the last few years I'd argue it's in a solid spot. however I still feel the archetype is missing one major thing new neo spacians as the only old neo spacians that are still viable are Grand mole, Aqua dolphin and maybe Air hummingbird. The rest are either incredibly niche like Dark panther or outright terrible like Flare scarab or Glow moss. I'd personally like to see either retrains of the older neo spacians or even outright new neo spacians for the archetype Ancient Fairy Dragon While technically not an archetype yet I think it's a crime that fairy dragon is the only signer dragon to not have an archetype alongside it or even having any evolutions or support cards to call it's own. Stardust and RDA have junk/synchrons and Resonators along with numerous evolutions and support cards, Black winged has Blackwing and recently got an evolution of it's own, Black rose has Moonlight dragon, Ruddy rose and the entire rose dragon archetype and even Power tool dragon has Life stream dragon, Power tool Braver dragon and the entire Morphtronic archetype. So it's about time that Ancient fairy dragon got an archetype and evolutions of it's own Roids The archetype is just terrible in almost every way with pretty much no synergy between most of it's cards. It needs a substantial amount of support in order to become a decent viable archetype or hell maybe even a full on archetype remake like what happened to the vampire archetype Malefics The archetype is a cool idea with it being comprised entirely of evil versions of famous dragons from across the series. So i'd like to see more famous yu gi oh dragons get the malefic treatment perhaps Malefic RDA, Malefic Five headed dragon, malefic Odd eyes, Malefic Galaxy eyes etc Fossils I'd just like to see this archetype get some more fusions really we currently have fusions for Warriors, machines and dinosaurs so I'd like to see more fusions especially beast, dragon, Fiend, spellcaster and insect Cloudians They are honestly a really cool archetype with some cool gimmicks like the whole not being able to be destroyed by battle and the fog counters and it's a crime they haven't had any major support since 2008 aside from a few one off support cards because I honestly think cloudians have massive potential to be a great archetype they are after all level four water monsters primarily which means........ Toadally awesome.... Batteryman These guys were once a pretty strong deck but now they've kinda fallen behind because of the lack of support. I really want them to get some new powerful boss monsters because these guys were an otk machine at one point and they're fun as hell to play Crystal Beasts I know they just recently had an entire structure deck all to themselves but man are crystal beasts in desperate need of some new main deck monsters. because aside from Pegasus, Crystal beast rainbow dragon, Ruby and maybe Tiger pretty much all the main deck crystal beasts are terrible. So the deck either needs full on retrains of the old beasts or some outright new crystal beasts to replace them in the deck Red Eyes Red eyes needs some support so that it can reach the same levels as blue eyes and dark magician. so give it some new powerful boss monsters, maybe some chaos ritual cards, a new fusion spell or a field spell already so that the archetype can catch up to it's two rivals Magnet warriors I really like the archetype so I'd really like to see them give us some more cards especially fusions I feel some 2 piece contact fusions could work really well. Also a fusion spell would be very welcome to help bring out Imperion magnum easier Vylons They haven't had support in a long time and most of their cards kinda suck pretty much solely relying on Omega and the Omega loop so they are in desperate need of some new cards. And since ice barriers another bad Duel terminal archetype is now actually really solid with new support I think it's time some other duel terminal archetypes got the same love such as Vylons Infernity While not in a terrible spot I just feel like the archetype needs more synchros of it's own as currently there's only Doom dragon and Doom archfiend so some more synchros would very much be welcome Fur hire They're a really fun deck to play but they haven't had any support for a while now so I really hope they get some more in the future especially some extra deck monsters I feel the archetype is very lacking in that regard Venom Easily the archetype that needs Support the most in my eyes they haven't had support since their initial release in 2007. And I think this archetype has legitimate potential to be something really cool they have a solid gimmick with venom counters lowering attack points and destroying monsters if they hit 0 and they have some cool designs with badass snakes and snake monsters. Not to mention a lot of their cards for how few of them there is are legitimately good such as Venom shot, Ambush Fangs, Snake Deities command and especially Venominaga who is an amazing boss monster with some god tier protection however the archetype struggles to bring her out due to such a small amount of cards. So I think these guys deserve some support cards more than any other archetype at this point hell even volcanics got support before they did and both released in the same year 2007 so Venoms are long overdue for support now
Charmer support please. At least cards that allow them their ability to not just be a beat down deck (with vanilla monsters disguised as effect monsters). At least give us a monster to either cheat out the Familiar-possessed with their effects intact or the ability to count as a Charmer and steal a opponent's monster. Maybe a better field spell.
I have been asking Konami for years for Orichalcos Support. There aren't literally enough cards to make a deck and those that exist, are straight up garbage. They can make retrains with new upgraded effects, nothing crazy, as long as it's fun and playable. And there are a lot of ideas from the anime. I don't understand why they don't do it. I know it's from a filler arc, but they have made retrains of a lot of old, forgotten cards.
I want more support for the 'itsu' archetype - Aitsu, Doitsu, Koitsu and Soitsu - the weird vanilla with awful stats that can be equipped with unions with awful stats to gain large attacks. Some stuff to make them more than just beat sticks maybe, as it's not too hard to summon them in the modern game it's just the pay-off is mediocre. I mean if Konami can make Gate Guardian viable, then they can do the Paper Airplane boys. Maybe a fusion or xyz that gets more benefits the more of them are used for material
Those cards were made as a delabrate joke. The cards art is a parody of Konami Gradius games, which majority never heard in your life. The cards are made bad on purpose cause that's the point. The fact many don't see this is astonishing
The Umbral Horrors could get REAL support from retrains of The Shining and Malicevorous Arcetypes instead of some dinky Field Spell. The only hope of the "Thunder Family" Arcetype is as a Toolbox deck made for Thunder Dragons.
The Nitro Archetype needs the most support as it only has TWO cards in the Archetype: Nitro Synchron and Nitro Warrior. Why is this a sub-archetype under the "Warrior" Synchro Archetype? Well this is because Nitro Synchron allows you to draw a card if you use it to Synchro Summon a "Nitro" Synchro monster, and Nitro Warrior is the ONLY Nitro Synchro in existence. Konami likely had plans to make a "Nitro" Archetype, but took the route of making the Junk Archetype popular instead.
My first problem with the video is I do not believe konami purposefully tries to make old archtypes competive just to make it playable at all. They obviously know no matter what they do ghosttrick are not reaching worlds
About Thunder Hunder, I think we already got 1 new card, Otonari Thunder. This card is a Lv. 4 LIGHT Thunder with 1600 less ATK. And this can support an Xyz too. . Anyway, can you check "Man-Eating Black Shark" & "Aqua Dragon". Both cards are Vanilla Fusion with 3 materials, and both of them need a "Amazon of the Seas" as the material. I think this will be a good gimmick to create retrain archetype like Memento.
I realized that UH needed support when I tried to cram all the emperors’ cards together for one Barian deck. I took one look at the umbral horrors and went “NOPE”.
Hunder has a 5th card (it is still just in the manga). I forgot it's effects though. In the manga it used to summon Thunder Spark Dragon. Nuked the monsters, then used the Thunder recharge continuous spell (forgot the name) so it has 5 materials to blow up Yuma's field completely
Huh. I have seen the "Hunder" cards before but never really thought much of them till now. They have good potential for more thunder puns / sanda puns in Japanese to make and could make something that is not just number 91.
Koa'ki meiru... I love the archetype but even with last support it's looks more like a DM deck that rely on dumb cost with huge beat sticks that requier sacrifices... Why not giving more swarm capacity, good effects for either not playing extra deck as Monarc or giving them extra decks monsters

Fucking third go cause the app is ass- For the Hunder portion in particular you forgot the neighbor (Otonari) that goes along with the main line that was spoiled a couple months ago and we finally have the effect for, and the two weird lvl 2 gremlins Spark played that got printed as Electrode Beast Anion and Cation. Also Number 91: Thunder Spark Dragon is technically there too as the only XYZ the boy summoned.
Honestly yeah I’m tired of older cards getting one new support card to try to fix things. Take Malefics (yes they did get multiple new support cards but only one really addressed their summoning problems) they get a continuous spell that allows you to have multiple Malefics on the field but you don’t always have it in your hand. This was probably a bad example.
Chess Archfiends have gotten nothing except a worthless Link. Konami did them so dirty that they didn't even give them support, they just shifted the archtype to an entirely different playstyle and kept the "Archfiend" name. They even retrained older, better cards to be Archfiends, lol. Like they're legit trying to erase their existence.
Because they are terrible. Why do you people have to defend bad cards or outdated cards. Leave them in the past and move on. Its why I hate anime decks and constant pandering to nostalgia (always DM)

Love hunder! My favorite thunder archetype. Didn't know about the umbral horror archetype. Seems awesome.
I would like to see some new support for Earth/Machine Trains/Railguns. It’s a deck that I really want to both own and play with for a while now in the physical TCG. Sure, I did play that deck digitally in Duel Links with Anna Kaboom, but I want to play it physically.
I would really like the two other character themes for Supreme Darkness set to be Greiger with 6 new cards for Reactor + 1 new Earthbound Immortal card. And Ayu with 3 Aquaactress pendulums, an Aquarium field spell and a new Aqua Story trap.
I know, it's probably gonna be something like Appliancer as the secondary character theme. But I'd rather see Greiger support.
Btw, if you haven't noticed, the secondary character theme of the last 5 sets have been Machine or Machine-like(Raid Raptors) from each of the different series.
For fun, I combined the Hunders with lv4 Watts. Have some generic thunder support, throw in an Honest, and boom!

There are 2 new Cards for the thunders. Electrode beast Cation and Electrode beast Anion. They Work with the spell Card Spirit converter
I'd like to see re-trains of the pyramid of light movie cards that have the same playstyle as shining sarcophagus/king's sarcophagus.
Vylons need support for sure. The Hunders need a good link or two as well.
The archetypes that I want to receive support the most currently are
Neos
The archetype isn't in a terrible spot or anything currently hell if anything with all the support it's gotten over the last few years I'd argue it's in a solid spot. however I still feel the archetype is missing one major thing new neo spacians as the only old neo spacians that are still viable are Grand mole, Aqua dolphin and maybe Air hummingbird. The rest are either incredibly niche like Dark panther or outright terrible like Flare scarab or Glow moss. I'd personally like to see either retrains of the older neo spacians or even outright new neo spacians for the archetype
Ancient Fairy Dragon
While technically not an archetype yet I think it's a crime that fairy dragon is the only signer dragon to not have an archetype alongside it or even having any evolutions or support cards to call it's own. Stardust and RDA have junk/synchrons and Resonators along with numerous evolutions and support cards, Black winged has Blackwing and recently got an evolution of it's own, Black rose has Moonlight dragon, Ruddy rose and the entire rose dragon archetype and even Power tool dragon has Life stream dragon, Power tool Braver dragon and the entire Morphtronic archetype. So it's about time that Ancient fairy dragon got an archetype and evolutions of it's own
Roids
The archetype is just terrible in almost every way with pretty much no synergy between most of it's cards. It needs a substantial amount of support in order to become a decent viable archetype or hell maybe even a full on archetype remake like what happened to the vampire archetype
Malefics
The archetype is a cool idea with it being comprised entirely of evil versions of famous dragons from across the series. So i'd like to see more famous yu gi oh dragons get the malefic treatment perhaps Malefic RDA, Malefic Five headed dragon, malefic Odd eyes, Malefic Galaxy eyes etc
Fossils
I'd just like to see this archetype get some more fusions really we currently have fusions for Warriors, machines and dinosaurs so I'd like to see more fusions especially beast, dragon, Fiend, spellcaster and insect
Cloudians
They are honestly a really cool archetype with some cool gimmicks like the whole not being able to be destroyed by battle and the fog counters and it's a crime they haven't had any major support since 2008 aside from a few one off support cards because I honestly think cloudians have massive potential to be a great archetype they are after all level four water monsters primarily which means........ Toadally awesome....
Batteryman
These guys were once a pretty strong deck but now they've kinda fallen behind because of the lack of support. I really want them to get some new powerful boss monsters because these guys were an otk machine at one point and they're fun as hell to play
Crystal Beasts
I know they just recently had an entire structure deck all to themselves but man are crystal beasts in desperate need of some new main deck monsters. because aside from Pegasus, Crystal beast rainbow dragon, Ruby and maybe Tiger pretty much all the main deck crystal beasts are terrible. So the deck either needs full on retrains of the old beasts or some outright new crystal beasts to replace them in the deck
Red Eyes
Red eyes needs some support so that it can reach the same levels as blue eyes and dark magician. so give it some new powerful boss monsters, maybe some chaos ritual cards, a new fusion spell or a field spell already so that the archetype can catch up to it's two rivals
Magnet warriors
I really like the archetype so I'd really like to see them give us some more cards especially fusions I feel some 2 piece contact fusions could work really well. Also a fusion spell would be very welcome to help bring out Imperion magnum easier
Vylons
They haven't had support in a long time and most of their cards kinda suck pretty much solely relying on Omega and the Omega loop so they are in desperate need of some new cards. And since ice barriers another bad Duel terminal archetype is now actually really solid with new support I think it's time some other duel terminal archetypes got the same love such as Vylons
Infernity
While not in a terrible spot I just feel like the archetype needs more synchros of it's own as currently there's only Doom dragon and Doom archfiend so some more synchros would very much be welcome
Fur hire
They're a really fun deck to play but they haven't had any support for a while now so I really hope they get some more in the future especially some extra deck monsters I feel the archetype is very lacking in that regard
Venom
Easily the archetype that needs Support the most in my eyes they haven't had support since their initial release in 2007. And I think this archetype has legitimate potential to be something really cool they have a solid gimmick with venom counters lowering attack points and destroying monsters if they hit 0 and they have some cool designs with badass snakes and snake monsters. Not to mention a lot of their cards for how few of them there is are legitimately good such as Venom shot, Ambush Fangs, Snake Deities command and especially Venominaga who is an amazing boss monster with some god tier protection however the archetype struggles to bring her out due to such a small amount of cards. So I think these guys deserve some support cards more than any other archetype at this point hell even volcanics got support before they did and both released in the same year 2007 so Venoms are long overdue for support now
Charmer support please. At least cards that allow them their ability to not just be a beat down deck (with vanilla monsters disguised as effect monsters). At least give us a monster to either cheat out the Familiar-possessed with their effects intact or the ability to count as a Charmer and steal a opponent's monster. Maybe a better field spell.

I have been asking Konami for years for Orichalcos Support. There aren't literally enough cards to make a deck and those that exist, are straight up garbage. They can make retrains with new upgraded effects, nothing crazy, as long as it's fun and playable. And there are a lot of ideas from the anime. I don't understand why they don't do it. I know it's from a filler arc, but they have made retrains of a lot of old, forgotten cards.

Umbrella Horror is an archetype I love to death but know they will never get proper support, same with Heraldic Beasts.
I want more support for the 'itsu' archetype - Aitsu, Doitsu, Koitsu and Soitsu - the weird vanilla with awful stats that can be equipped with unions with awful stats to gain large attacks. Some stuff to make them more than just beat sticks maybe, as it's not too hard to summon them in the modern game it's just the pay-off is mediocre.
I mean if Konami can make Gate Guardian viable, then they can do the Paper Airplane boys. Maybe a fusion or xyz that gets more benefits the more of them are used for material

The Umbral Horrors could get REAL support from retrains of The Shining and Malicevorous Arcetypes instead of some dinky Field Spell.
The only hope of the "Thunder Family" Arcetype is as a Toolbox deck made for Thunder Dragons.
The Nitro Archetype needs the most support as it only has TWO cards in the Archetype: Nitro Synchron and Nitro Warrior.
Why is this a sub-archetype under the "Warrior" Synchro Archetype? Well this is because Nitro Synchron allows you to draw a card if you use it to Synchro Summon a "Nitro" Synchro monster, and Nitro Warrior is the ONLY Nitro Synchro in existence.
Konami likely had plans to make a "Nitro" Archetype, but took the route of making the Junk Archetype popular instead.
My first problem with the video is I do not believe konami purposefully tries to make old archtypes competive just to make it playable at all. They obviously know no matter what they do ghosttrick are not reaching worlds

About Thunder Hunder, I think we already got 1 new card, Otonari Thunder. This card is a Lv. 4 LIGHT Thunder with 1600 less ATK. And this can support an Xyz too.

Anyway, can you check "Man-Eating Black Shark" & "Aqua Dragon". Both cards are Vanilla Fusion with 3 materials, and both of them need a "Amazon of the Seas" as the material. I think this will be a good gimmick to create retrain archetype like Memento.
I realized that UH needed support when I tried to cram all the emperors’ cards together for one Barian deck. I took one look at the umbral horrors and went “NOPE”.
Hunder has a 5th card (it is still just in the manga). I forgot it's effects though.
In the manga it used to summon Thunder Spark Dragon. Nuked the monsters, then used the Thunder recharge continuous spell (forgot the name) so it has 5 materials to blow up Yuma's field completely

Huh. I have seen the "Hunder" cards before but never really thought much of them till now. They have good potential for more thunder puns / sanda puns in Japanese to make and could make something that is not just number 91.

Koa'ki meiru... I love the archetype but even with last support it's looks more like a DM deck that rely on dumb cost with huge beat sticks that requier sacrifices...
Why not giving more swarm capacity, good effects for either not playing extra deck as Monarc or giving them extra decks monsters

For the Hunder portion in particular you forgot the neighbor (Otonari) that goes along with the main line that was spoiled a couple months ago and we finally have the effect for, and the two weird lvl 2 gremlins Spark played that got printed as Electrode Beast Anion and Cation. Also Number 91: Thunder Spark Dragon is technically there too as the only XYZ the boy summoned.
Honestly yeah I’m tired of older cards getting one new support card to try to fix things. Take Malefics (yes they did get multiple new support cards but only one really addressed their summoning problems) they get a continuous spell that allows you to have multiple Malefics on the field but you don’t always have it in your hand. This was probably a bad example.

Chess Archfiends have gotten nothing except a worthless Link. Konami did them so dirty that they didn't even give them support, they just shifted the archtype to an entirely different playstyle and kept the "Archfiend" name. They even retrained older, better cards to be Archfiends, lol. Like they're legit trying to erase their existence.
Because they are terrible.
Why do you people have to defend bad cards or outdated cards. Leave them in the past and move on.
