Most bands with 3 guitars would sound... cacophonous, a mess. Skynyrd players may not have been Clapton or Hendrix but they are unmatched in guitar composition. Lead, counterpoint, fills..their music is very full. And Van Zant was a tremendous songwriter
Van Zant was a lyrical genius. And in 75 76 77 all the songs have that little difference in them depending on what line up and what year. I love the pre 77 Lynyrd Skynyrd Band
