God, how I miss airwolf..I remember, when I was a kid every time i rode my bicycle I imagined I was flying the lady! She was a part of my childhood.. Airwolf will always be a part of my life.

The low altitude flying in this show was the best ever ....my goodness... I cant be the only on that looks up when they hear a Bell 222 flying over head and not instantly get transported back in time to when they were a kid... This music was the bee's knees..

I'll never forget Saturday's back in the 80s, so much was worth looking forward to back in those times.
So utterly sad and depressing these current times are of now, makes you wish to God you could time travel back to better moments, if only (sigh)! :(
This is so true.
Airwolf was so good because the flying scenes in the first 3 seasons were performed by a real pilots flying real aircraft. Sadly during 1 scene, Jan Michael's stunt pilot crashed his helicopter and burned to death before rescue, however another crew member was rescued by a producer from the show.
Stunt flying is very dangerous, these men and women do this for a living knowing the risks. They have produced some incredible shots for Airwolf live. CGI has it's place , to be used where filming live is just too dangerous. It can't be used for an entire movie because the becomes unbelievable.

Hands down the best action TV show of the 1980's. My personal favorite and the catchy theme song made it even more addicting to watch. RIP Dom.

Was a great show, I really miss all of the old shows like this that were fun to watch and look forward to the next episode not like the GARBAGE of today. Really wish they had a tv channel that only played these types of old quality television. As for the Lady all I can say is RIP since she was lost in a crash on June 6 1992 in Germany after the show ended. Will always miss the great TV and the great shows like this one. RIP Dom.
That is my favorite show of all time, have the whole CD set!!! Never will get enough of Airwolf and I don't think you can remake a classic like this one-there will never be another Airwolf with Jan Michael Vincent behind the helm of that awesome helicopter!!!
I have the whole original box set on DVD I like to watch it and still enjoy it.. They did a great job with the chopper shame it was lost.. but never forgotten

Yes, we all miss her. She was an incredible helicopter. She deserves to be brought back, and they do a season 5 with the things they were in season 3. I guess they could say the original pilots went into hiding and came out at the beginning of the 5th season, if they did do one. Airwolf deserves justice.

Best TV show of the 80's i like knight rider as well and the A team but always preferred Airwolf. Best theme tune and love the sound of the chopper. Have the orginal box set on DVD and even watching it manay years later still good action.

A lot of people, myself included, miss The Lady.
When the Bell 222 was no longer required for Airwolf, it was converted into an air ambulance and sold to Germany. It performed a great service to the community, saving those who very likely would've died having to wait for road transfer to hospital.
Tragedy struck in 1993 as she was completing another rescue; a medevac of seriously ill individual to hospital. In bad weather and poor visibility, she suffered mechanical failure and struck the side of the mountain. All on board received injuries that either killed them at the scene or later on in hospital. The cause of the crash was believed to be a combination of mechanical failure and weather

My all time favorite TV show. Short Walk to Freedom is still one of my favorite episodes. Would love to see a remake...but it wouldn't be the same without Ernie.

Man that was good tv writing. Drama, and character personal feeling giving depth. Loved watching it on Saturdays after nine pm.
I miss Airwolf however I have the complete series of Airwolf on DVD I'll be watching it over and over I am loyal there is only one Airwolf and that's with Stringfellow Hawke and Dominic Santini that's my story and I will stick to it till the day I die

The original Star Trek, no fan thought it could be as good as the The Next Generation. A great continuity of the show. All life is that way, it goes on, not continually repeat adventures.

that killed it for me with the bad actors and the sounds effect of airwolf not there they just made it sound like any other helicopter and the Stupid music in the back ground it just made it so cheap

Yeah one of the best of the best series and probably an inimitable idea/series.
I could see Airwolf on the big screen for sure. I just don't want a simple remake though. You can't replace the original actors in my opinion. Plus, a story where Airwolf is found or discovered hidden and put back into action would work like a charm.

Loved Airwolf back in it's day (cheesy as it was in all it's eighties glory...) But frankly I'm tired of all the remakes on screen and in the theaters these days. Can't anyone come up with and produce an original idea anymore?
Now if someone were to swipe the idea of an super-helicopter fighting the "forces of evil" as it were and run with it, I wouldn't object to that. But don't ruin the Airwolf name and my childhood memories!

Late to the party to say the least, but what the hell ... Very nice slide show, and it brought back a lot of childhood memories. Personally I'd sell an arm and a leg to bring Airwolf back, but sadly I don't think there's any room for that kind of show anymore. The "protagonist uses super advanced tech to defeat the bad guys"-formula was very much a product of its time, and apart from a comparatively small crowd of diehard fans it would probably lack mainstream appeal. And no mainstream appeal means no money, which in turn means The Lady will never fly again.
