Divorce is tough and no joke, so many emotions but when you eventually come out the other side you will see your growth in every manner..Your kids are the best thing to hug and tell them how special they are to Mum and Dad right now. ❤

I've been separated for a whole year and I've made up in my mind it doesn't take anyone that long to figure out if they want to work on there marriage and still be a parent to our children. So today we are moving miles away to start a new for all of us. Being a single parent is hard but we do it. I do everything for them. That's it that's all. Keep strong everything will fall in line for you🤗

My ex and I haven't been together for 3 years. It has taken me this long to realize that I literally am ok by myself. A relationship does not define me. We work together as best we can to make sure our children feel loved and protected and supported. The more time passes, the easier life becomes. The traditional family that we used to know is not the norm anymore. And while we want perfection, we also don't want to harm our children in the process. I'm proud of you, Crissy. Thank you for sharing your story.

It seems that dysfunction is the norm. But not getting counseling to try to work things out and improve relationships is also normal too. People give up quickly these days. Not singling you out, but ppl these days will jump in fast and jump right out just as quickly.

I’m 28 and I got married to my husband at 21, we have a 4, 2 and a 1 year old. I left my husband on April 25th, honestly I couldn’t continue to be unhappy and be treated the way he was treating me. I had to accept that I wasn’t setting a good example for my two boys and my daughter. I agree with a comment I read that as women we need to a stop settling. I’ll keep you and others that are in a similar situation in my prayers. When one door closes another one opens.
ETA: just like you I love the father of my children as the father of my children but I’m also just not in love with him “like that” anymore

Most women are scared and rather be stuck in a “dead” relationship to say I have a husband, I live with my children’s father, I got a man and know how to keep a man, the list goes on...they can know its infidelity, abuse, addictions and yet still stay. I honestly respect a divorced woman more then a married woman because divorce women have more courage and self confidence to leave and not trying to stay miserable to keep up with an image. Granted not all marriages are unhappy

I felt this on such a real level. I'm a single mama too and although it makes me sad for my son that myself and his daddy couldnt stay together as one family, my happiness and his happiness are more important than anything. And you're so right, family is WHAT YOU MAKE IT. My son knows he is VERY loved and that's really all that matters at the end of the day. You're such a strong beautiful woman, Crissy! Cheers (with a non-alcoholic drink 🤣) to a great co-parenting journey and NEW BEGINNINGS! ❤

I just wanted to say : THANK YOU FOR THE REALNESS. I have nothing against the “perfect families “ that are portrayed on RUclips and I wish everyone one the best but sometimes I’m left wondering “ where are the single moms , the parents who both work, the ones that don’t have 5 bedroom
Houses?” . I literally thought everyone on here was a SAHM and there’s nothing wrong with that but sometimes I wanna see someone I can relate too. I’ve been with my husband since I was 17 so the growing pains are real. And sometimes they grow together and sometimes they grow apart . Good on you for recognizing that ! Happy journey !

Wow this is nothing but God that you posted this, I needed to hear this (at this time I my life)! I’ve love your vlogs and have been watching for about 9 months now! I recently moved 8 hrs away from my sons father, to help my mother after the death of my father in April of this year. With so much left in the air since our separation in 2011, I have struggled with guilt, negativity, anger, and bitterness. So much so, that I took it out on others and lived in denial of these feelings for years. With the longevity of my parents marriage (even through rough times), I found myself taking the blame for our failed marriage even though we both played a part. After 13 years of trying to save our marriage I realized I couldn’t...so I left in all in God’s hands. These were the roughest 13 years of my life emotionally and spiritually. Thank the Lord we are now at a place where we are good friends and can co-parent. We are still wading through things legally in our divorce process, due to me feeling shame and guilt for filling. But God has held my hand through it all, and has shown me that my father’s passing was a blessing in disguise. I have now pushed myself to wrap up my filing process and close this chapter in my life. I am now looking forward to growing closer with my family and falling back in love with God. I am also looking forward to the blessings, new opportunities/adventures, and like you a second chance at a joyful and healthy relationship (with someone special🤞). God bless as you and your family as you all enter this new journey 🦋! I can’t wait to see you soar Chica!!! 🥰

Thank you for your transparency! I’m so proud of you for having the courage to leave your relationship and not staying together just for the kids bc so many people stay for the kids and grow unhappy and eventually divorce when the kids grow up. And you’re so right about families, Nowadays families are made up of so many different blends and children are raised up to be perfectly fine and everyone is happy. A lot of people are going to have their negative comments bc people are stuck on the idea of traditional family, but honestly it’s about your happiness bc it’s going to take a happy strong mom to raise happy healthy children. So I’ll be praying for your strength during this time. ❤️❤️

Shauntice, sometimes GOD allows us to see a situation for what it is before too much time has been invested. Keep GOD first in everything you do……and HE Will direct your path. Do this in JESUS Name. I wish you and your kids the best that GOD has to offer🙏🏼

@@sandytx7661 seriously!! Y'all need to stop putting God's name in your human ideas. When two people stand before God and make a covenant for better or worse , what do you think that mean?? Unless people are just speaking idle words.. When things get to the "worse " we are suppose to lean on God and ask for His wisdom and guidance, and to have faith and patience there's nothing God cannot fix. He may even cause the partners to learn how to grow in His Godly character of Love, patience and long suffering. But these days everyone selfish... as things don't workout, they try and try on their own strength leaving God out the picture, and when they assumed that they try hard enough and nothing has changed eventually separate. Not giving God the chance to work things out, not allowing God to show them why thins maybe happening the way they are. If a woman is being abused that is something totally different but outside of that partners should allow God to bring about change in their marriage. We can do nothing on our own strength, but we can do much through Jesus Christ. Do not fill up this young lady's head with God allows you to see enough b4 you fully invest nonsense. Those are your thought, not God's. If God use to think that way, we would perish because we all are sinners and he sees us as filthy rags., but God is merciful and wish that none would perish but repent. God believes in marriage and would never want to see partners separate.

This story sounds so familiar. I am an American woman who married a Kenyan man. We never had kids, but I did have one daughter when we got married. He was very business minded and hardly had time for me and my daughter because he worked so much. I often felt very alone in our marriage. I accused him of marrying for citizenship often because the love he gave didn’t feel genuine and it felt robotic and transactional. I believe he is a good person and I still have love for him. Lately, I have been wondering if I made the right decision with leaving our marriage. Questioning myself, with maybe it was just cultural, or we spoke different love languages.I somehow stumbled on this video while at work and I must say it was encouraging to hear someone else’s story that was so very similar that ended with such a positive outcome. So glad to see you still smiling and moving on with life. ❤️❤️❤️

It was definitely a cultural thing and to be honest I do feel bad for men from other diverse culturals because they are literally raised to study hard and work hard to be providers for their families. They are often taught that there are certain duties for women and certain duties for men. In America we tend to glorify and dramatize this conceptual idea of a fairy tale romantic marriage with no problems but that's not reality and the very qualities most American men lack are the things people hate or despise in men from different countries. There are other jobs that require people to be away from home for months at a time and it's sad that sometimes being a provider can leave you without a family to even provide for.

a man works he's butts off to be a provider, which takes him from home all the time, but because of your selfish interest of looking for perfection you left him, smh... this marie lady, a man saved her life with her two kids and alcohol addiction bu marrying her and providing for her, and she wakes up one morning that she no longer in love with him and went back to the single streets... you modern ladies are delusional and would deff regret yo wrong decisions at old age lol smh..keep waiting for a perfect man...
