- Today, I toured Charleston, South Carolina, which is renowned for its rich history, scenic beauty, and vibrant culture. However, its history is also marred by the dark legacy of slavery, a deeply embedded aspect of its past that significantly shaped the city's development. Afterwards, we took in some BBQ at KJ Style BBQ.
KJ is a local Charlestonian with an exciting food cart in the Charleston market.
If you are in the state of South Carolina, this is definitely a city that should be on your travel plans.
Love showing, what I eat in a day.

Thank you, Matt, for sharing your food and educational journey through Charleston, SC. Have safe travels back to Jersey.
Thank Mike.
Thanks, Matt. That personal felt history made this special, and I can see how good those ribs were. I might stop there for the food, but I do know that I'd feel uncomfortable in that scene. Just me, and glad you shared this.
Hi Es Willie. Thank you.
Hi Matt!
That was an educational and "nutritional" video. Thanks for sharing. I always like getting a town or city's history thrown in as somewhat of an appetizer.
I hope America's "dirty little secret" gets full-blown exposure to allow some healing to truly begin. "Denial" ain't just a river in Egypt.
KJ's ribs looked off the chain! You should think about bringing some of that stuff back with you and hold a raffle for us local DVants to win a taste. LOL!
Peace!
Thanks J Elaine.

Hey Matt👋🏾. Thanks for using the term “enslaved” as nobody asked to be placed in this situation. In addition, EVERY race of people has been “enslaved” at some point in history. I lived in Charleston for 20 years, and I hope you enjoyed your visit and the delicious cuisine.🤗🌹
