    Damn axelsen played so amazingly he's in crazy good form, antonsen had to play almost perfect line smashes to get through him

    I think Axelsen was best when he faced Chen long in the latest Olympic..please check out again you will see the perfection in placing and all his smashes.

    Victor wasn’t in his best form here - he was missing smashes in game 1 and was emotionally reactive in his expressions. Not close to the form during the Olympic 🥇 run where he was a cold blooded killer with pin point precision. That guy was too dominant

    • @manewhairstyle
      @manewhairstyle 2 года назад +4

      can't say that one aspect ruined his form. while he was unable to connect quite a few of his smashes in game1, he was undeniably performing better in terms of defence and play making. his setup to force a lift from antonsen as well as defenses against antonsens tap show much more about his game than smashes.

    • @of8ightandse7en16
      @of8ightandse7en16 2 года назад +2

      i think u were only judging from his missed smashes.. other than that, his defence and return shots are well placed. the fact he won despite anders playing well is the proof.

      NOT even close.
      Just bcus LZJ won BAC
      Doesn't mean he is already the best in Asia.
      LZJ is not even ranked 5.
      Aside from AE2021 and BAC22
      What else did he actually win?
      Nothing....

      @@_RoseDawson_ frankly speaking you do know it is because the bwf still freezing the bwf point ranking that's why lzj is not in top 5 right? If currently bwf ranking is unfreeze he most probably be top 2/3 in the ranking you know right?you know momota ginting ctc ranking will be lower than lzj if the ranking unfreeze right now right?I not 100% sure if antonsen will be lower than lzj but one things for sure his rank is definitely in top 3 if the ranking unfreeze now .no1 is axelsen, no.2 is either lzj or antonsen.just like you say he this two year he only won BAC and 2021 all england. The. What else doest the others top 5 win(excluded axelsen) in these 2022 and 2021.

    • @RichardFangLiu
      @RichardFangLiu 2 года назад +8

      To be fair the serve change was relatively new (2018) and Axelsen probably got hit the hardest as one of the tallest players (he complained heaps). Prior to 2018, you just needed to serve below the 'waist' so all of the tall top players wouldn't have been affected as hard as compared to the new changes to the current tall players.

    Boring match, very little finesse, just bang bang bang, especially from Viktor. I know he won, but he played one drop shot the entire match. Bring back LCW and Lin Dan.

    • @leenpels7646

      They played with extremely fast shuttlecocks which made "finnesse" almost impossible during this European Championships. My guess is they probably wanted to cater to Carolina Marin since it was Spain hosting the event.
      In Denmark Open 2021 they changed these shuttlecocks immediately after first round because they were simply too fast to make good badminton. It wasn't pretty.
