I don't think it's very fair to say that the girl in the first one is just "feeling out social boundaries" but if a man had asked a woman her bra size or something when he doesn't know her very well it could easily be seen as sexual harassment. She made him feel uncomfortable and he lashed out in anger, which he is allowed to do bc the comment was totally inappropriate. And now other people are telling HIM to apologize to her when she started it. And now he's being defensive and saying some dumb stuff, but he's feeling attacked for standing up for himself. Men can be made to feel uncomfortable in these situations too.
