What we have here is a case of someone not being able to admit that they were wrong. And that “someone” is the man running the sale. He got proven wrong, and couldn’t just own up to it. He most likely felt super embarrassed afterwards. Good work calling him out. Tons of respect for you guys!

I had that happen at a wal-mart. A man walks into the exit and gets in everyone's way instead of going through the entrance right next to it. I point out the sign to him when he scoffs at us for being in HIS way. I said you're a right prick aren't you. His wife started howling. She was tickled pink that someone told him where to go, lol. She was cool.

Loved seeing you stand up for yourself! I was at a garage sale and carried around a small lamp for awhile trying to decide if I was gonna buy it. I decided not to and put it down and started to leave. As I was walking away the lady running the sale tried to accuse me of stealing it! I spun around and said I'm not a theif! Then kept walking. I still don't know where this lady thought I would hide a whole ass lamp if I was trying to steal it.

Normally I would agree but I feel like she just made a bad situation worse since the man walked away. There was no reason for her to approach him like that. She should have just let it be. Thankfully it didn't escalate to someone getting hurt.

Thats not brave, it was an emotional response that could have resulted in Matt and that man fighting , going to jail or worse! While all Kayla would have done is sit there scream, cry and been perfectly unscratched while Matt and that man Risked their freedom or lives for something so petty!

Kayla offered from the first to return it and get her money back, then offered again. It was only when Matt flat out asked him do you want it back that he backed down. "You stole it" vs "You got a steal" it's all about your words...

When you sell your stuff at a garage sale, most normal people list the items at bargain basement prices as sellers just want to get rid of old junk as quickly as possible and make a couple of bucks. This guy and his wife were both jerks. The wife didn't say one word when she knew they had just paid her for the stuff. To top it off, the buyer offered to give him his items back and just cancel the sale. He refused and continued to berate the buyers. I hate people like that!

@@Shiesty9168 Not really. The Buyer offered several times to cancel the sale and give the items back for a refund of the money they paid. The seller didn't want to do this either. He just wanted to berate the buyers even though they graciously offered to give him his items back. The seller and his wife were both total jerks!

You must not have heard her explain she's been put down and taken advantage of her entire life, and she's finally found her voice, and will to not allow it to happen anymore! The man did apologize, BUT then continued to accuse her of stealing it, likely by switching price tags. His wife likely did the pricing, and if he didn't like the price she put on it, he should have helped!

This happened to me at an estate sale once. But they accused me of stealing my own sunglasses 😂. Police were called and once they arrived they magically changed their story, funny how that works

Holy cow that was entertaining. I was an Uber driver and I kept thinking "lady (or sir) I cannot stand your spouse for this 5-minute drive! how do you live with them full time?" I notice that the wife was silent, much like she is at every restaurant, store or party where he lets loose the ignorance on innocent normals.

I think it’s great that you stood up for yourself! In my younger years I was very passive, and let too many people treat me unjustly. Then something in me snapped, and I said no longer would I just let people walk all over CB me when they were in the wrong.
A red flag was when he wanted $20 for 19 cozies when they’re listed as $1.00 each. He should have given you a discount. He’s the kind of seller who will end up giving everything to goodwill because he wants top dollar.

This is why I record EVERYTHING. I can't tell you how many times my conversations I have when I'm alone with people (professionals) where they deny saying what they've said and it turns into a whole gaslighting thing. Sadly, it happens so much to me I usually bring someone with me, not to keep me company but to, unfortunately, be a witness.

Stopped by a secret shopper at Walmart. He says “I think there was a misscan on one of those clothes.” I go” you mean MY jacket?”. He didn’t even apologize, just walked away. Now everytime I go there and see him I point him out for all the other shoppers. He always gives me a dirty look

Yeah Kayla-You have matured so much since being intimidated by that lady at the flea market (A while back with the possible stolen items and mean lady). Life isn't always about peace at any price and you handled yourself amazingly well. This will give that gentleman something to think about in the future before accusing anyone of stealing. This is one of those situations one must learn from their parents at a young age and would be ideal to show your children. Always stand up and communicate for yourself when being accused of any action that is unjustified. I am thrilled that you seem very happy and look so healthy these days. All over $5….this country has really gotten to the point of weird. Some people don’t trust, don’t respect, it’s just sad. Y’all are GREAT, I’m glad you took up for yourself sweet Kayla!!
So..... Do you trust strangers regularly? Have you had a life where people have given you a good reason to trust strangers? My life has been the opposite, I haven't had strangers prove I should trust them, I've had tons of people not be trustworthy. Personally speaking, people are generally trash. And they act trashy. And a lot of them speak trash. And a lot of people can't even have a proper conversation, fight, or argument without repeating slurs and swears and the same phrase repeatedly, so... I don't trust strangers, I understand why you'd be untrusting but I can't understand why you'd be trusting of people you don't know. People steal so much stores now lock merchandise due to thousands of dollars worth of products.... People steal so much makeup, they even have to lock that up now too. Blame the scammers, thieves, murderers, rapists, and drug dealers of the world for why normal people don't want to trust anyone they don't know, and online people are so awful to each other and feel like their words online don't matter. But acting like it should be normal to trust people is weird on you.

It's sad that people can't admit when they're wrong. We all make mistakes, no biggie, but the way he dealt with it was the "sorry/not sorry" way. So glad you stuck up for yourself, it's more about how you feel since you can't change other people and now you can feel confident you did the right thing even offering to return it if he was unhappy. It’s obvious this guy has an issue with money….can’t count correctly, can’t price stuff correctly, etc!! I don’t think ‘someone’ that wanted to rip off that item, would’ve put that $5.00 tag in that box and then left it. And I highly doubt people carry around an assortment of tags so they can match the tags at that sale to price things themselves and rip the sellers off. The sorry that he said after accusing you of stealing was completely negated by the fact that after he said "sorry" he was still accusing you of stealing.
