This is a new shallower birdbath I just bought ($20 at Lowe's!) so the birds are still getting used to it, but it still got plenty of visitors drinking and bathing. The cardinals and chickadees can be heard chirping and singing over the sounds of the water pouring down the waterfall fountain.

I want to thank you from my heart to yours for posting this video. My 17 year old cat Monkey has been listening to it non-stop while she was slipping away over the past 2 days. I believe it gave her some relief. It certainly has for me. She died 1/2 hour ago in my arms while we watched your video. I guess seeing the morning doves actually drink is amazing , but I still can’t see how it keeps the water clean , I guess have to keep going outside several times a day and clean out the bath
Oh yeah, and keeping the water moving is helpful. I like to put freshwater in and just let excess overflow. When food or leaves etc. accumulate I just empty the bath and let it fill back up. In general a birdbath should be ok a couple days if you have one, remember a dirty puddle is what they'd use otherwise and that's ok.

How do you do it , YOUR water never over fills , over flows , ??? But always fresh water
So I did set it up to overflow, I do worry about mosquitos and bad water so there is a small pump making the water go in, as you see, and the overflow is falling (over the front) into a basin underneath. which is being replenished by fresh water at a slow rate.

What's that? you mean like a zoo for birds? nah that would be cool to see though. it's just my backyard in South Carolina. There's a few more types of birds that I've seen which aren't interested in the feeders or birdbath and there's supposedly about 50 types of birds in the area, many I've never seen before... yet!
I found this by accident, while sleeping I gradually awoke with a horrible thought that my bathroom was flooding , with rhythmical sounds that my taps have never made...nothing negative to say about the clip...birds one by one ?territorial bathers ?
Yup, mysterious running water sounds can cause panic if you don't expect it!
The birds are pretty skittish around bath time so they wait until the coast is clear of other birds a lot of time.
