Im here to see whether devotion or ancients is better for the defender role. I know ancients has a lot of defensive/controlling skills

Why do I need 10 dex? With heavy armor can't I dump dex to 8?

if you want to lose an extra AC..

@@LeeroyGaming Heavy armor does not consider DEX for the AC: "Heavy Armor also allows you to ignore how a negative dexterity modifier would penalize your AC in Light and Medium armor"

Mainly so you have no negative effects on your initiative for combat. However if that doesn't matter as much to you, you can definitely put dex at 8. 12 is the sweet spot for me.
