    amboss vs uworld for usmle?

    • @strudelstudentreview
      @strudelstudentreview  2 месяца назад +1

      Personally I am a Uworld fan. Amboss is solid but gets into the weeds sometimes in terms of details. USMLE (at least for step 2 and NBME shelf exams) usually has you think about big picture management and next step in management rather than specific details (in general). That being said either one works well provided you review your questions and complete the questions for that block.

    Anyone know why ct scan is for bone and mri is soft tissue, but the answer is always ct scan for abdominal trauma or splenic trauma?

    • @Mr_3raqi
      @Mr_3raqi 8 месяцев назад +3

      Ct is much faster, you don't need to keep the patient for a long time in the machine (can be problematic for patients with hemodynamic instability
      cost and availability
      And also the end result both will tell us that the patient's spleen or liver is lacerated so why not use the quicker, more available option and get the patient in for an ex lap quicker
