I like the fact you double rinsed your chemical buckets. No need to throw that stuff away, it goes on the field! Thanks for the video my friend, learned a few things.
I’m glad we reuse the same ab lines year to year and they’re in every guidance system. Get to the field, select the right line and go. Beds are definitely easier to hold by hand but on strips the system does better than me most of times.
We should probably look into doing something like that with ours, but this year our main struggle was keeping accurate signal during changing fields. We have some very small fields also. And probably over 1,000 different row directions total
I generally just count. I tried several times using auto steer even with RTK it’s still a pain to mess with. 24 rows from your last tire track or 12 if you use your foam markers on the end of the boom. Point rows make counting even easier lol. Enjoy your channel keep it up 👍
If you were not using auto steer how would you make sure you turn into the right amount of rows? DO you use the map, or do you count the rows. If you did have too count the rows, how many would you have to count to turn into the right rows? Great video! I wish there were more videos like this one on RUclips. Its so detailed.
@@southernfarmer Sorry there must have been a glitch in my computer. The first 5 minutes of the video there was music playing in the background. I replayed it and the music wasn't there.

It just occurred to me how great a sprayer would be for crowd control! 😂😎
I know its not easy. But you sure make all of that look so simple.
I’ve done it a time or two

I just turn fast as I can using the map, eventually you get in a rhythm and it just hits right every time
Use the same lat/long and heading as the planter. You plant a 12, 90 foot sprayer, you drive right down the same tracks your planter tractor drove
does the outer wings on your spraye fold in independently of the main boom? Can you fold one back behind the main boom to avoid a tree or post etc?
Super
Hold the foot button and press down on the main boom function and the booms will automatically unfold
I've seen other farmers use their side window like a white dry erasible board to make notes. Just a thought.
I’ve seen that a lot too
👍👍
One more question? How do you calculate how much chemical you need in your tank, or do you just fill the tank up all the way?
Just figure it by acres, but normally mix a full tank
do you ever use the chemical eductuctor on the sprayer or do you just use the one on the trailer?
Usually trailer
Have you ever used the row finder mode?
I have not, I’ve heard it works great
How much microthiol dispersion it push per load
No idea what that is
Are you seeing armyworms in your cotton? We have them here but I haven't found any in our cotton.
In places, we sprayed about 1,000 acres for Army worms, haven’t seen much damage from them anywhere tho
They are pretty rough on young beans
You have already sprayed 6,335 this year
That’s with just the 4030
We’ve done most of our spraying with 2 other 4730’s
@@southernfarmer wow
3 cotton harvesters!!!??? Jesus, how much do ya think that costs. xD
Too much
@@southernfarmer so do you have your own farm or do you work for someone else?
@@NotAHillyBilly me & my father are partners
@@southernfarmer Oh, interesting, thanks for letting me know.
Cannot hear anything you're saying with the music.
Music?
