Two of my fondest and most vivid memories of my 14 years in Japan involved taiko. The first was at the Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto for Setsubun (Feb 3) and the second was on the grounds of Osaka Castle in the Spring. Seeing those performances live in historical traditional places was truly breathtaking. It was almost overwhelming, they quite literally brought me to tears.
That was insane! 😮 I loved it! I'm also a Taiko drummer! I can appreciate the effort and training that goes into such a performance! Spectacular! Loved it loved it loved it! 😊
