Thanks man helped a lot, you could also do an updated version cuz giphy changed a lot and most functions like text animation disappeared, so ou gotta click on the bottom left of the website to get the old version shown in the video...
For anyone experiencing issues with the console code part or getting the sizing of the artwork to fit correctly, @ 4:25, Make sure you press "Enter" after pasting in the console code!
to those saying that their file is too big, it is probably because you have an animated profile background. i use one with rain so i made it that the duration of the artwork is only 0.5, now the file is only 1.7MB.
hey, it didnt work. The width is just completely wrong and so is the height even tho I did everything EXACTLY like you did and even tried it multiple times to see if im just not following the tutorial correctly but this is just wrong man.
For the record you can input an image and get the same results if you dont want to do a GIF, still do inpect>console then put the code, but i dont like this method because it used Giphy which isnt really that great, but because of how many times the image is processed it ends up being so undetailed, and not crispy quality. but this is still a great video to show off how to input the artwork

Hello, great video! However, the Java-Script code does not work for me, it is indicated that the GIF is too large! But this can be fixed by either compressing or cropping the GIF on the same page. The dimensions of 640 were also wrong for me, I needed 632. :) Still, great instructions!

To add a wavy text effect you have to switch to Old GIF maker, which is located on the very bottom left of your screen.

It doesnt work even after pressing enter. File needs to be 5mb
Do you have the console code for that size?
That is just a new rule by steam… make sure your file size is under 5mb. There is no workaround for this

Pretty sure that Steve Wilhite, the guy who invented the gif file, pronounces it as "jif" and claims it is the only correct way

used the console command on chrome but there is a left bar left in showcase. resized the gif to the exact measurement too.

I found out it is because you have to be level 10 on Steam
