Yes...I'm here! I have this oven...and really like it! I use the infrared smaller upper oven all the time...the convection lower/larger oven ...not so much. It's a little delicate but the glass top cooker is great and highly controllable. As for cleaning...please tell me what oven IS "easy" to clean...answer...none of them! I don't use the "self-clean" because when I did with my previous oven I had issues...1) Uses a great deal of electricity and you're "locked out" of stopping the process. 2) May damage the plastics areas used in any brand oven. 3) Self-Clean mode in any oven produces fumes & stink that may take days to get rid of. I just use a no-fume cleaner and regular oven spray cleaner for stubborn spots.
In case anyone has an LG and would like it to look new again, this is what I did tonight, using only water, time, and a some light scrubbing. And yes, I should have been doing this two to three times a year. So, we've had our LG range for 18 months and it was looking less than new-ish from all the drips on the bottom, and dark areas around the window and door. We have been cleaning it by hand (wiping down) this whole time, but still it had dark spots from the drips that had eventually baked on. I did try this EasyClean twice today. I followed the instructions in this video, but the EasyClean feature did nothing for our range, and definitely not the tough baked in looking areas. However, after that, I did the SelfClean feature. I ran it for 5 hours. Yes, 5 hours. The default is three. The door locked while it got quite hot during this time. You have to take the racks out first, so I used that time to soak the racks in hot water, and cleaned them to new condition with a stainless steel-like scouring pad. During the last hour, I used the same pad to lightly scrub the cooktop above the oven for a few minutes. With it being hot as it was, (not too hot for me to touch), I was able to get the cooktop looking like new by cleaning the area under the burners. Btw, we've always a had an LG Stove Protector (from Stove Guard) that I bought on Amazon on my cooktop area. When the SelfClean finished and cooled down, the door unlocked, and WOW. This worked. I did use the same pad to lightly (very lightly) clean the bottom, top, sides, and back, and then followed with a damp cloth to shine it up. At first the area around the window and door was still dark, but unlike before, using the pad and cloth, I was able to get it completely off. Also, I was easily able to clean the window after the SelfClean. Easily. The oven looks like it did the day we bought it. I took before and after pictures. So, give the SelfClean a try if you have the feature. I know it's not as easy as spraying with water, waiting ten minutes, and wiping, but since you're only supposed to do it about every four to six months, it is well worth the time. (And again, I agree the EasyClean feature seems completely useless). ruclips.net/video/5xp_ePjnAj0/видео.html
I didn’t have any instructions as the stove came with my home. I ran the easy clean 3 times, which only baked the spills on. Finally called the manufacturer. Apparently you’re supposed to fill the resivoir with hot water. Nothing will clean it now
It's 2022, how could these ovens not have a self cleaning feature. Double check. I've had self cleaning ovens since my harvest gold Hotpoint from the 80s. I have an LG range a few months old with both the Easy Clean feature and the self clean feature.
I have a Samsung oven and they have their own version of Easy Clean called Steam Clean. And on minor spills it does wonders but on burnt on stuff it will do nothing, what I found is that fume free Easy Off cleans the oven really well and doesn't require heat, I see alot of people complaining about it not having a self clean cycle but really you should be thanking LG for not including one, self clean may make your oven look clean but it causes severe damage to the ovens sensors, control panel, and heating elements. Ovens are not designed to be used at such high temperatures and each time you run Self Clean you shorten the life span of your stove, all my friends who have owned Samsung or LG ovens couldn't keep them long and they all used self clean, I've never touched self clean on mine and it’s about to go on 4 problem-free years of faithful service
My $3000 lg range came with self clean and easy clean. The first time we used the self clean, it locked itself, the screen went blank, and we had to wait a week for repair. Repair technician said to never use self clean for the reasons listed above.
Yup. Had a Kitchenaid oven and it was the worst garbage (previous owners bought it just before we bought). It was a bad year for KA. Anyway, someone luckily told me never to use the self clean, that it would destroy the electronics. AND oven cleaner works really well and honestly isn’t a huge amount of work. Just got the range yesterday and haven’t used it because we have to cut the counters! Just couldn’t figure out what the spay bottle was for and ended up here.
My interpretation of the "Easy Clean" feature is that it is for MINOR soiling. If a pie has bubbled over, or if the inside looks as though it was a scene of a food fight, you should use the "Self Clean" function.
Thank you for contacting LG and welcome to our Social Media page. I’d like to see if we can assist. Please contact LG Customer Support by direct message via Twitter ( @LGUSSupport ) or Facebook Messenger ( facebook.com/LGUSA/ ), ^April
This does not work. I used my oven 2 times and used this quick clean option and it did not work well then I tried the 3 hour clean and it did not work well. I made one pizza in oven then used the 3 hour clean and it did not take off grease and it did not loosen grease. I had to use a scratch fee scrub pad and a lot of elbow and it still did not come out. I bought an oven cleaner and it now looks horrible , but the grease is finally off. This surface is very poor for an oven and it was an expensive oven!
I really wish I had done more research before buying the model with Easy Clean. It may work on fresh, minor spills, but it does nothing on burned on grease splatters. I have been scraping and wiping this oven way too much. I should have bought the model with the regular self-cleaning program.
Sorry to hear that. Appliances usually don't include maintenance tools in the package, although some retailers may offer them as freebies or special promotions. You can get a pressurized spray bottle to clean your oven from your local home improvement store or on trusted online retail partners such as Walmart. Here's the link to the product: 1-Liter Pressurized Spray Bottle at Walmart: www.walmart.com/ip/1-Liter-Pressurized-Spray-Bottle/696362578 Thank you for choosing LG, and we appreciate your understanding.
I have an easy clean oven. Baked on apple pie spill. I'm on my 4th cycle of easy clean and the stuff is still there. This is a joke. Plus, I did not receive a spray bottle. I wish I had a self cleaning oven. This thing does the cycle and then says "Clean the oven". NO JOKE, get your scrubbers out. This cleans NOTHING!!
This is day four of having my LG electronic smart double oven and assumed it would be self cleaning considering paying about $3,000 for it. The spray bottle was not included when range was delivered. The display screen is extremely dim.
LG customer service I does not work with customers. I have registered my $3,000 LG electric range. I emailed customer service that the pressurized spray bottle to use with the Easy Clean not provided. Customer service replied by asking me to provide eleven...proof of purchase, sn, plus nine other questions. I was expecting customer service to: apologize for omitting an item worth under $25...instead of asking me to provide so much information when I have a confirmation email that the range is REGISTERED. This was my first and last LG purchase. Plan on purchasing a microwave and it will not be from LG. It’s difficult shopping for appliances during the COVID-19. .
Since buying this piece of crap, I have vowed NEVER to buy another LG product! I gave the fridge as well, and after only 2 years, it goes in and out at will. PIECE OF CRAP! DON'T BUY THEIR. PRODUCTS!
LG, PLEASE read our comments and give us a solution (or our money back?)!! The EasyClean feature is pathetic and does not clean anything!! Manual says we cant use commercial cleaner and we have to use either distilled or tap water. So disappointing spending $1200 on an oven that looks old after 3 months of use.
Well I did not get any asserories when I got my oven. Did not even get a manual. The people came in and installed and said there you go. I have been struggling trying to clean my oven and it's horrible.
Hi there Michelle. Welcome to our Social Media page. Based on your recent post, we see that you may need support. Please send us a private message with your name and phone number and we would be happy to investigate this further. ^Van
This Easy Clean feature simply does not work well. It steams, but we're still scouring by hand, and it doesn't come completely clean. Such a misleading feature name, as we thought we had bought a self-clean oven. Also in forums I read it's not advised to use oven cleaner. Stuck with a half clean oven.
I got my oven before Covid. It was delivered damage that we didn’t noticed the square tubular frame that separates the two pieces of glass has fallen down inside the door and sit cockeyed, we had repair come out, and even though we didn’t use the oven, we had it before we used it for enough Time that the warranty or the initial grace. From delivery expired. Having said that I would give the oven an overall seven out of 10 as far as using it the glass is harder to clean on the surface than my old glass top oven even after 20 years of use. My biggest problem was the first time I use the cleaning cycle, I had removed all debris and set the full clean cycle. After it was done, four hours later, I open the oven and there were chips of the blue interior enamel that had popped off the surface.
Hello every one, can some please share details on the replacement of the levers that support the KNOB for the oven on LG gas range MODEL LSG5513ST. Thanks
Hi there. Using the EasyClean feature on your LG range will do the trick, but if you need more guidance on cleaning the oven door, please avoid using harsh cleaners or abrasive cleaning materials on the outside of the oven door, as doing so can cause damage. - Use soapy water to thoroughly clean the oven door, and rinse well. Do not immerse the door in water. - You may use a glass cleaner on the outside of the oven door. Do not spray water or glass cleaner on the door vents. - Do not use oven cleaners, cleaning powders, or harsh abrasive cleaning materials on the outside of the oven door. - Do not clean the oven door gasket. The oven door gasket is made of a woven material that is essential for a good seal. Care should be taken not to rub, damage, or remove this gasket. Do not hand clean the oven door gasket; clean it gently by hand. We didn’t receive any tools either. Our model is two years old. Also, our model has a “easy clean” on the face of the range dial with an automatic set timer for 10 minutes… didn’t do much in 10 minutes

I have an LG oven with the useless 'Easy Clean' feature too. Followed the directions to a tee and after 4 or 5 cycles, I gave up. I resorted to using EasyOff and now the enamel is damaged with this white haze that will not come off. What a terrible oven. The worst I've ever owned. LG needs to rethink this awful, inefficient feature.

@@LGUSASupport your support is a fucking joke. I've been waiting 2 months for one of your people to send me paperwork that probably takes all of 5 minutes to process. I shouldn't have to call every other day, waiting 30 minutes to talk to someone, only for them to email that same person again to tell them to do their job.

Hello Trace, I had the same thing happen to my oven. Did you ever get the white haze off your oven or did you have to replace it? Thanks in advance for your response.
I’m assuming you have to start the easy clean cycle from a cold oven I tried using it after making something in the oven in the oven was still warm the easy clean feature would not start it had a message that the oven was hot. Please wait but any other instruction so I wait
Hi there. We're sorry to hear about what happened in your microwave. Please know that this is not the experience we want you to have. Also, chipping issues are not covered by our warranty because they are considered physical damage. -Charles
Please issue a warning on how LG range doors have metal edges that are extremely sharp; razor sharp! Extremely dangerous! Call a professional to clean interior glass. I just returned from ER with sutures in my hand and came very close to slicing my wrist open as well. People, wear leather gloves!Men on videos were not wearing leather gloves and issued no safety warnings. Also, oven door is quite heavy. Best two man job. Thank you.

I have boiled over milk that got between (ugh) that got between the two glass doors on oven. It went through the small vents on top of door and now there is a streak of milk I can't get to to clean. Any ideas- help!
Mmmmm for a gas range, where does the excess water go ?…. I know it slips thru the cracks under the oven cavity but does it just sit there or ?… how do I get it out? I heard the water dripping and there was a pool of water under the range. Is it meant to leak out like that ?

I totally agree, this oven is so misrepresented, only buy this if you like to be on your hands & knees after every thing that you cook that might splatter, spill, or just be messy, like everything I cook.. I WISH TO THANK LG FOR SELLING A very expensive oven that’s NOT SELF CLEANING... I wish that I could send this oven back to Lowe’s for lying about the self cleaning oven that is NOT SELF CLEANING, EASY CLEAN IS A JOKE!!!! Shame on you LG !!!

What do you do if food falls down in the open vents where the fire is in your oven for instance I was using keep warm for breakfast items and I dropped a sausage down in the hole. Now my oven, when turned on is smoking and I see flames Will it burn out What do I need to take my oven apart?

Hey LG. What's the part number and where can I get a new led touch display for this LSEL6335D? Some of the led lines have stopped working. Unless there's something I can check or test first, I guess I need an entire display or maybe control panel. I cannot use the oven as I cannot see what setting or temperature it's on. Stovetop works with the manual dials thankfully. Failed at month 13. $2300 I think it should last a tad bit longer than 13 months

None of those tools came with my oven so that statement is false. Also, the "Easy Clean" method is way more complicated than the regular "Self Clean" method. I don't get how it is easier.

I have an LG oven and it has easy clean . Tried to clean it several times as on the videos but it doesn't work. As having disabilities I cannot get down and scrub on a oven to clean it. Very misled in buying this product thinking it would make my life a little easier and all I done was waste my money. Now I don't know how to get it cleaned cus I can't stand a dirty oven. Won't buy this kind of oven ever again! 😡

LG retailer NEED to inform customers of this. We purchased a very expensive oven just to have to scrub the thing. I have major issues with this and wish we had been told the difference. I will NEVER buy an “Easy Clean” oven….it’s a complete joke. I hate it!

Don't use any oven cleaner, folks. You'll be left with a white residue that won't come off. The easy clean option sucks, so you're just SOL when it comes to cleaning this thing.
Great! I’m literally sitting here after using an oven cleaner. I had no idea oven cleaner wasn’t supposed to be used until I read here in the comments. Now what do I do??🤦♀️
Why did you have to use Easy Off? There's a self clean option also (seen at 0:19) that works marvelously. So why did you have to resort to oven cleaner, when it recommends you don't do that. Did you read all the options? Just curious.
I absolutely hate this stove. Just retired and we splurged on a new stove, microwave and oven. This stove is a constant disappointment to me. I don’t want to spend my precious retirement scrubbing the stove inside and out. The stove top is impossible to keep clean without the constant cleaning and the “easy clean” function is useless. I wish I had known before dropping valuable retirement funds on this. I thought that at least it would be an improvement on my white, 10 year old stove with only 3 working burners. It’s not. I shall tell anyone who will listen of my disappointment!!!!

I totally agree with you. We bought the Lg fridge, stove and oven in black stainless steel. We had previously had our black appliances for about 20 years and wanted to upgrade. Fridge died in less than two years, compressor died. Dishwasher, top cracked. Oven, easy clean feature a total joke. Can’t get that clean come he’ll or high water. And we had to have the top of the stove replaced probably a month after we had it. Would never ever recommend Lg products to anyone. Oh and we had an lg tv that was used maybe 5 times before it too died. Surprisingly out other appliances and electronics work for years but lg dies in no time.

Same here; would NEVER buy LG appliances again. Bought fridge, range and dishwasher. Dishwasher never gets the contents dry. Fridge door looks like it's 20 years old from the day they installed it, all dented, even though it's just two quiet people, no pets, living here. And the range, wow. Smells like insulation burning two years after install, can't hold a consistent temp, and cannot be cleaned. Worthless.
Hey there! We'd like to help! Have you tried pressing the "add cook time" option? If that doesn't work, reach out to us on social media @LGUSSupport, and we'll find a solution together! ^Gaby

I’m really upset by this “easy clean” feature! It’s useless! I feel it was a total misrepresentation of a self cleaning oven and I would not have bought it if I had known it didn’t actually clean the oven! I feel duped by LG into buying an oven that I now have to go back to scrubbing to clean it! Your “easy clean” feature sucks! And I’m very unhappy with being stuck with a product I cannot return because I bought it 6 months ago and only just had to clean it recently to find out that it’s not a true self clean feature!

I agree with the person who hates this oven. It may as well have been the regular old fashion oven. It’s a lot of work & the so called easy clean, I agree is absolutely useless. It’s like having mammary glands on a bull!!! Useless.

This is such a joke, Easy Clean, my ar$e. No self clean option on our oven though advertised as such. This is for cleaning an oven for people do not cook real life things that spill, splatter or boil over. If I cannot use anything abrasive (not even baking soda paste) or caustic, how are we supposed to clean this thing?
Hi, there. Thank you for letting us know about your experience with you unit. It's sad to hear that your unit does not have an easy clean option even if it is advertised. was my oven supposed to come with that spray bottle? Mine did not. I received it in June 2023
Thank god I reviewed these video before shopping this oven...dodged a bullet
My oven doesn't have the feature Self clean, but only this useless easy clean....
Bi, Ewa. Thank you forvreaching out to us. Please send us a private message and we'll be happy to assist you. ^Van
@@ewaw6264 Mine too, I am not happy!
How come I didn't get any of these tools? I purchased a microwave, stove and fridge...smh
I just bought an LG stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. I didn't get them things either. Also a 55' TV all at the same place!
Me either. Purchased an oven fridge, microwave and dishwasher. No tools. Would like that pressurized spray bottle for sure
Same, never got these
Same here. All my kitchen stuff lg. no free stuff included
I didn’t receive these cleaning items either. Anyone get this resolved?
Good advice
So how do u clean the hard pot
Sounds like an engineering problem if the self clean damages the oven. Perhaps they should consider smarter engineers
My interpretation of the "Easy Clean" feature is that it is for MINOR soiling. If a pie has bubbled over, or if the inside looks as though it was a scene of a food fight, you should use the "Self Clean" function.

THere is no SELF CLEAN on most, hence the backlash. READ what others are saying before offering useless suggestions.
@@LGUSASupportoh April. Tell me you're a bot without telling me you're a bot.
Where do i get the spray bottle. Just got oven 2 weeks ago didnt come with bottle or any tools.
Sorry to hear that. Appliances usually don't include maintenance tools in the package, although some retailers may offer them as freebies or special promotions.
You can get a pressurized spray bottle to clean your oven from your local home improvement store or on trusted online retail partners such as Walmart. Here's the link to the product:
1-Liter Pressurized Spray Bottle at Walmart:
www.walmart.com/ip/1-Liter-Pressurized-Spray-Bottle/696362578
Thank you for choosing LG, and we appreciate your understanding.
I didn’t get a spray bottle either.
LG customer service I does not work with customers. I have registered my $3,000 LG electric range. I emailed customer service that the pressurized spray bottle to use with the Easy Clean not provided. Customer service replied by asking me to provide eleven...proof of purchase, sn, plus nine other questions. I was expecting customer service to:
apologize for omitting an item worth under $25...instead of asking me to provide so much information when I have a confirmation email that the range is REGISTERED. This was my first and last LG purchase. Plan on purchasing a microwave and it will not be from LG. It’s difficult shopping for appliances during the COVID-19.
.
Use a regular spray bottle works just as good
Still isn’t easy to clean. I to will never buy an lg product
I am so sad to.
We need sue these folks...
Have you tried the self clean (if you have it)? That will get it back to looking good.
@@TheKgilley hahahahahah seriously? The “easy clean” doesn’t work. It warms the oven, that’s it.
Easy clean works great for mine idk what you're talking about. Maybe you aren't using enough water?
Well I did not get any asserories when I got my oven. Did not even get a manual. The people came in and installed and said there you go. I have been struggling trying to clean my oven and it's horrible.

Is there no heat involved because I agree this process seems useless!! My top oven was as cold as when I started the process......did nothing!!
Hello every one, can some please share details on the replacement of the levers that support the KNOB for the oven on LG gas range MODEL LSG5513ST.
Thanks
How do you clean inside the glass doors in front. Mine are awful.
For more information about LG Range maintenance tips, you may visit this link: www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/general-maintenance-and-cleaning-ranges-and-cooktops--20152320015536. `Liz
