Im an OG from Hartford, but i live in L.A. and thank you for clearing up the names of the gangs back then. I remember Ghetto Boyz, The Orgy with Keke from The Ville, Latin Locos, and i forgot The Family Connection! I grew up in the. Blue Hills area, Palm St. We put that area on the map because we were the smallest, but we had shooters from our block and we wasn't afraid to go up against The Ave or Chappelle Gardens or WhoDaVille on the other side of Tower Ave. That's when guns barely came in the picture

True indeed my bro...The war we had with the Ave was on and poppin during the 80's...true indeed we were a small crew of shooters that held our own against The Ave..they had the numbers but niccas with no heart..they attempted a peace treaty with us several times, but we kept gunnin for them niccas...The whole Hartford knew we was down by law, that's how we gained allies with at the time..Park St. Possie (b4 they were Solidos), Dutch Point, etc...I now reside in Atlanta...and glad I survived through all the gun battles and constantly living in a state of WAR..my sons and nephews still live in Hartford and cant believe Hartford Ct. was a war zone during the 80's and 90's...I'm glad they don't have to go through it, and its up to us now OG's to make sure shit stay peaceful...Peace from Atlanta,Ga....

I remember hearing about those gangs!! And legends that was from them gangz!! THE ALPHA NIGGAZ from each gang!! But yu see I'm from BROOKLYN Where KNIGHTS were born and bred!! Off springs of Vietnam soldiers that came home from the VIETNAM war that had BROOKLYN on fire!! The STICK UP KID ERA!! THE HARDROCK ERA You was trained to walk thru and travel thru NEW YORK dolo looking for niggaz with something of value on!! be it a brand new pair of pumas, Adidas, British WALKERS or playboy shoes!! Sheepskin coat, leather bomber , anything in fashion at the time!! Etc. You had to go on ya missions!! You will meet fellow stick up kids in ya travels!! Peace to the GODZ!!😁 YU moved dolo!!YU even got tried in ya travling!! Especially in school!! Yu got challenged!! Yu might be taking a piss in the bathroom and a nigga walk up and want ya sneakers ask yu what size is those ! Your size kid!! Now he wants to challenge yu for them!! Your 52 handblocks had to be on point !! Smack a nigga up to keep your possessions!! Body physically fit!! Handz on point!! Showing off smacking a nigga up for the mommy's!! Bagging that bitch yu always wanted to bag!! His bitch!! Took his crown kid!! A BROOKLYN KNIGHT!!! TRAINED TO BE AFRAID OF NOTHING!! NOT EVEN DEATH!! Most of us was trained to be a ONE MAN ARMY!! I was taught not to move in a gang and not to be afraid of any gang!! My pops said if yu join a gang that means yu soft!! Fuck a gang !! Fuck a HARDROCK!! A HARDROCK can be broken down to a pebble !! a pebble broken down into dust!!! Gangs are for suckers!! Alot of them niggaz are suckers!! Snitchers, ain't built like that!! As a Brooklyn knight I always wanted to challenge that BULLY !! I was taught to hate bullies!! So you used to look for the guy or girl that got picked on alot that was smart but not really a violent person but always got picked on from some cornball especially if he or she was an 85er!! Uncivilized!! So when I moved to Hartford !! I came with that BROOKLYN mentality! We moved to a project that to me at the time that was constantly being bullied from other areas of Hartford on the North end!! Well known crews that was big in numbers and had the whole North end of Hartford scared of them!!

      Continued
We formed a brotherhood that would changed the Dynamics of beefing in Hartford!! A small band of brothers that wasn't afraid of nothing!! We didn't care who wanted beef!! We bought it to the so called ILLEST niggaz!! But they were mostly alot of suckers in they crew!! We had the top names on our list !! The names that rang bells!! All the so called alphas in there crew!! We went to war with them !! Around a good 8 of us against many!! We was like the TALIBAN against the SUPER POWERS!!! Yu see they used to like jumping yu !! It will be like 10 to 1!! They beat niggaz up establish fear!! To the masses!! Niggaz scared to death when them niggaz was on the scene!! But when you gather a few brothers out of many that has the same heart as you on some ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE shit!! On some do or die shit!! It's a big problem!!! No one left's behind!!! Protect ours !! Up all night protecting the project while our families slept good at night!! And for the record alot of y'all cornballz that never put in work!! Put ya life on the line!! You know y'all cornballz screaming how gangsta y'all was!! Y'all mother fuckers was scared of the unknown!! I know who were the founding fathers kid!! And the yung gs that came after us kno!!! Salute to my to brothers that commented in the first 2 comments from L.A and ATL!!! BLESS UP !! AND CONTINUE TO COUNT YALL BLESSINGS!! WE STILL HERE AND MAKING SURE OUR SEEDS HAVE TO GO THRU THAT BULLSHIT!!

We didnt grow up with any white friends because the only whites we saw was coping drugs!!!! I remember playing basketball 🏀 at the projects at PT barnum apts and i was the only white boy on those courts!!! I used chill at my boys apt father panic village wich at the time was tve most dangerous PJ's, i miss those days wearing shell toe adidas with the extra fat shoelaces and pin stripped LEE pants , growing up lost alot of freinds from 187's and prison, i met some 20 love menbers when i was at tge aci / shelter in middletown CT,

I remember our set, Palm St, In the 80s, was #4 on the top 10 gangs in Hartford. It went...
    1) The Ave
    2) Stowe Village
    3) Dutch Point
    4) Palm St Posse (And I'm proud to say I was one of those assassins that put that work in to make them #1)

Savage Nomads! 78-80 when I lived over in the Frog Hollow area(Park & Park Terrace) I remember them quite well. There was also the Baby Nomads. Not sure what relation they were to each other. Went to Burns school during that time. Also remember the crazy gang wars that were going on in the early 90’s - I had a lot of friends that were in Los Solidos and 20 Luv
