What looked like a normal video turned out to be a big dilemma for me. So, I've let the Patreons and RUclips Members pick whether I should include all themes in the video (Goblin, Zul'Farrak and Pirate) or instead, go with the desert tracks only. The second version was picked. I've also included the classic "Desert" theme although it's played in just very small areas in this zone. Anyway, here's the fifth iteration of the video. I'll include all themes in the Livestream program (when will be available). P.S.: This is for Esperi, who requested this video Did you enjoy this video? This is one of the few Cataclysm reworks that I truly love. It really captures the desolate beauty of the desert. The original music for this zone was great too, so it's nice to hear both versions alongside each other. Meisio
I've played WoW for a long time during my teenage years, alongside friends who I have been blessed enough to maintain close ties with for more than 20 years now. April the 30th, 2022 marked the first session of a project which had been in the making for a couple years: we started a WoW tabletop role-playing game, which I've been mastering. It's been going on almost a year now, and we feel like adult-sized children playing the game again, only in a different format. Yahzard, Tzam'ra, Neycroz and Drildrox are fearlessly travelling around Azeroth, fighting, negociating, laughing and preparing for the dangers to come. One of the reasons they can do that is because of the magical power of music, and its ability to immerse us into unknown and far-away worlds. Thank you for your work, sincerely. My close friends/players haven't stopped asking for more yet, and they often do it to the beautiful, timeless musical backgrounds of your videos. :) They're venturing around The Barrens at the moment, but who knows where their adventures will take them next...?
Man, you'll never know how many times did i played your Tanaris (vanilla). I even downloaded for offline, so as to enjoy anytime espcially when i try to get asleep. Then i just turned on youtube on my bed, i got a new Tanaris video from Meisio uploaded only for 4 hours ago. You've just made my end of the day as perfect. And I'm also missing the mystic and desolate desert of Tanaris. Thank you so much, good night!
I did the same! Have all the Meisio music on my phone for traveling/sleeping. I don’t sleep without WoW music anymore. And whenever someone looks for WoW music i always reccomend Meisio videos, you deserve it!

Beautiful! One of the most underrated zones but I have such great memories in it. Thanks!
Being born and raised near the beach this zone and soundtrack is very special to me. I remember about 15-20 years ago leveling up in this zone. When time permits I find my peace at the beach and as I see a sunrise or a sunset I think of these songs. Go in peace
Tanaris was always one of the most immersive zones for me. The visuals, the mood, the music, everything about it is just really well done. I enjoyed it very much! The music felt pretty balanced and always in line with the visuals.
I've said this earlier... if you set the view distance at 10/10, the immersive experience gets entirely killed: 1. You can see Sargeras' sword which is in Silithus 2. There is no fog / dust in the desert and there is no mystery about what's out there. I am not sure anyone noticed, but I've turned the view distance between 3/10 and 6/10, so people won't see everything in one shot (being an open map).
@@Meisio Yeah I agree 100% with that. Plus, that kind of visibility is not even real. We had atmospheric haze in real life as well. Flying mounts made the world so much smaller. Having to go by foot or ground mount was nicer in that kind of way.
So good! Brings back so many good memories, i miss those times greatly. i've tried getting back into WoW multiple times and it just doesn't hold that same spark for me anymore
I love it. Tanaris is one of the zones I always find beautiful, even if it so desolate and desperate. I think you really grasped this one now! Thank you very much for your work and efforts, as always! Love, p.
As much as I like the music, I used to shut it off while I played. Only left the environment sound on. The music made me too relaxed and I would always become too sleepy to play. I prefer to listen to it when I'm not playing and just want to chillout.
Thank you for this one, Meisio! The Vanilla Tanaris video is already a mainstay in my sleep rotation of your videos, so this one is an obvious inclusion, too. :)
If you ask me, they nearly killed the ambience with the big Silithus sword. If you have the view distance set to 10/10 you will see all the time Sargeras' sword and it kills the entire mood. What I've done, I've turned off the view distance between 3/10 and 6/10, and it created also a fog, which increased the mystery in the zone.
These videos are honestly so great, I have a whole playlist of these that you've created that I play while working / studying, hearing the WoW sounds in the background gives me such a nostalgic feeling that you capture so well with this content. The "Gameplay No Commentary, ASMR" series are also a huge favorite of mine too.
I gotta be honest... having these suggested makes me wanna load up the first 4 wow servers n rock out a bit :X Van and BC for sure. Glaives on a Scarab mount :P
@@Meisio well, preferences :p I second that tho. Newer channels of this orientation are sprouting on my "feed" but it's just second(-first?) nature to return here every single time xD WoW music and Meisio are interchangeable now, to me anyway. Be it the timing, the quality and duration of them vids/"end products", the Livestream-chat(gang), my laziness/unwillingness to give as many chances to other subs, or whatever else makes it happen, I really don't care why I stuck with it ...I'm just loving it. I prefer (over)analyzing other stuff it seems, huehuehue. (If anyone thinks the above equals overanalysis, I'm just saying beforehand: 1 paragraph can't do justice to anything good/worthy of discussion. At least I don't talk like an Ent, altho it could be better; not so sure about my voice even after all these years. Who uses voice chat in-game? hmmm... I still haven't, it's sad in a sense...) k, now the comment is complete, yay

Im 26 now, havent played wow for almost 8 years and this hits Hard! Remember doing my quest in thousand needles and finally came by this desert!
Cataclysm as an expansion was meeh, but music was top notch. Thank you again Meisio.
I forget how many tracks I associate with classic wow zones actually came from Cataclysm. This zone has some of the best
I miss the old wow days so much, including this zone. It was a really epic experience.
I love the very first track so, so much. Beautifuly haunting.

Lvl 45 vanilla, back in summer 2006...my God...
Tanaris was my favorite zone in vanilla WoW. Many hours spent there.
Cataclysm added such awesome tracks to this zone. Tanaris is a middling zone, but like Arathi the music elevates it a ton.
This used to be my favourite zone to play in summer during school breaks back in the days. It reflects this hot days & sunburn feeling perfectly.
Being born and raised near the beach this zone and soundtrack is very special to me. I remember about 15-20 years ago leveling up in this zone.

This music reminds me of an ancient civilization long forgotten.
This music resonates so intense with something deep down in my DNA.
the blend with the old and new tunes is good
@Meisio you always make me feel i have to jump back into game with these ambience and music videos...but it is just not the same :(
Great video. Like so many of the zones, the sound a music make the playing experience more vibrant. Good choice.
So good! Brings back so many good memories, i miss those times greatly. i've tried getting back into WoW multiple times and it just doesn't hold that same spark for me anymore
Somehow you always manage to capture the true spirit of the zones. Thank you for the uploads and the livestream!
I try. And I am certainly glad you enjoyed it. Thank you :)
I spent a good amount of hours in Tanaris. My soul needed this today. Thank you! I would also love a Farraki vibe. Just throwing that out there.

I love cata Tanaris! Thanks
The new music and sounds for this zone were beautifully redone in cata. One of the few instances i think Cata did something truly great.

Nostalgia is so high with wow, I wish they remade it in VR somehow one day
@@raiden72 best way to capture the feeling is get incredibly stoned and play hahaha that seems to come close
Someday, I hope I'll come back to those. I like doing them as well. The issue is, they are not that popular... :(
A other good vidoe dude keep you rock love tanaris
Unpopular opinion but I'm stoked for Cata Classic

I sure do miss WoW, but it was time to let go. Have fun everyone! ❤
I hated letting go because it was so much of my past, but time always slips away
Not the Tanaris I know. This looks similar but likes it's been through some cataclysmic event.. maybe Activision? lol
