That's interesting to know thet the pups were there to protect not herd. We never saw so much evidence of bears in an area without actually seeing any.
@@birdieandbambam you go on the Transfagarasan you will see bears. Unfortunately a bear mauled a girl that was hiking in the mountains to death this year. And up in the mountain meadows where sheep graze, there are also wolves.

It's very pretty there. Parts of the hike reminded us of Colorado.

We had plans to drive the Transfagarasan highway but had trouble with our rental car... :(
