I enjoy this game so much, it really only was a matter of time until it made a reappearance on the channel... but before anyone asks: No, this doesn't mean the cancellation of any of my other series!! I just needed something easy to record while so much of my time is taken up house hunting (and I get itchy if too many of my uploads are Stream VODs xD)
I 100% feel you on the "house hunting takes 110% of my time" - (in the US, at least) college/uni searching is very similar! (As is house hunting, of course)
My Singular Stonehearth Vet Tip for the Sake of the Foxes: keep two little stockpiles near your Trapping Grounds and Farms, one each location, zoned only for cooking ingredients/raw food respectively. The pets will go to the stockpiles and grab food they like from them. A pet can't get food out of storage items like chests, so keeping those stockpiles makes sure they don't starve to death. The kibble pet bowls aren't reliable for whatever reason. I have had abundent bowls before and my pets still starved. T_ T I got really upset having to watch my pets starve to death and I couldn't save them before I learned this trick. Anyway, I am SUPER excited to see you back in Stonehearth. I love this game and it is great to see my favorite content creator playing it once more. I hope you have loads of fun exploring this world again and make it to the point you take on the titan. :D
Seeing as how you are in a desert, I would love to see you try your hand at designing a pueblo-style city built onto the sides of your local mountain; with little walkways made of wood and wide clay windows. I think it could look amazing and you could honeycomb tunnels through the mountain for shortcuts. :)
Getting early food in the dessert: 1(optional) pause the game 2 search with the camera for fruitbearing cacti. Don't search too far 3 tell your hearlings to harvest said cacti an haul them closer to base
A dwarf playthrough would be fantastic. Build an above ground keep as your entrance, then dig a stairway down and have your entire settlement on the same Z level below ground. Just dig straight down from a flat open place. This makes it very easy to see your entire settlement all at the same time (minus the gatehouse which is on the surface). Or, even better, go entirely underground if you can manage it. Gatehouse below ground. Entire fort on the same Z level. Play it like Dungeon Keeper. I've always been fond of Dwarf Fortress forts built in this style.
I'm so glad you're making a series of this! To your point at 20:20, desert people carving towns out of cliffs is totally A Thing, like Mesa Verde and the Manitou Cliff Dwellings, and it'd be cool if you decided to do it too
I'm the same way with trying to keep my place looking decent from the start. Because it still takes a bit to build stuff, its definitely hard to go back later and move or change things around, so a lot of times I keep starting new games haha. But I'm glad you're doing this playthrough, the ACE mod is really fantastic!
See; I adore making head-cannon civilizations. My faviourite one to make, is the last hold of the Phoenix kingdom. I've done this way too many times, slowly expanding my Frosty start across 3 plains, 1 highlands, 2 deserts, and 4 Tundra's. Each time I've played as Ryass's (?) Children ( I love the Clay in this game ). It is always fun to go from a small village, to a fully detailed Castles, "Port," Cities, Military Forts, and some ruins. I adore the world of Stone Hearth, and I love making stories. This game is amazing, and your channel fills the itch of wanting to play the game and make a new settlement ( Because my PC is broken ). Please keep this series going, and the absolutely amazing Content!!!
While my true love of Aavak games is Rimworld, StoneHearth Dwarf Fortress and Terraria are close runner ups! So I’m so happy and grateful that you are making a new series of this game. Hugs!
I am very happy to see more of this game, as the first game that got me watching your channel was Gnomoria and this is the same style of game. I loved those playthroughs quite a lot, and will enjoy seeing you go through this one. Spiderslaughter and Castlegoat forever!
Ah! Thank you Aavak :) I was waiting for the return of Stoneheart! I love how much this game allows your creativity to go wild~ I really liked the failed past attempts with the fidgety archer heroes :P
Woo, glad to see stonehearths return! The game is quite dear to me having watched it since you played it back in early development years ago, and have played it quite a bit at this point. The dev's originally decided they were done last patch, and ACE mod came around after that and the dev's pointed it out and basically said it might as well be official, as far as the story went iirc. ACE is actually installed in the game by base instead of having to pull it off the steam workshop. Edit: Skylands looks really neat to play on! Last I played was a few updates ago, about a month or so, and it wasn't in yet. I might jump on just to get into a play through of that myself. Edit2: For future playthroughs I'd suggest generating a smaller map. The larger map doesn't really benefit you (you'll normally use about 1/4th or so of it anyway, about the next size down map) and it adds a lot of needless lag on even higher end computers. The only time it might be useful is on the skylands map where you have so little land to begin with, if I was to guess.
You can get thatch by digging up the top soil. You get a lot of it by building roads and buildings. You need a mod to enable your archers to hunt. Also you might want to at the better storage mod (the vanilla version works with ACE, but an ACE version is in the works.) If your are looking for building templates (even if only for inspiration). The Vasedro and Lattice work Sets are really good (You need to replace the vanilla crafting stations with the ACE ones before committing to construction.)
Awesome video. Thanks for putting it up. I always love this game, wish I had time to play it myself. I’d also like to be added to the list of names to consider when naming the new hearthlings, if that’s an option.
Make sure to check the reviews on steam first. Apparently the game has pretty much been abandoned by the original devs since they got bought out by Riot. It's still buggy and can get super laggy, and most likely won't get fixed. So be careful.
Do like the Stonehearth. I really Love and Miss Thea the Awaken series. WOuld love to see a series of that were trying to get more of the demon as member of the village
:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):) lovely to see an actual series, fan tastic in fact. It seemed like everything uploaded recently were Twitch VODS, so pleased to see something like this again, thank you Aavak I'm sure all your loyal youtube followers will be delighted. I certainly am!!!! I know you are extremely busy as always but is there any chance of a Thea 2 lets play in the future at all? Thanks again Aavak and best wishes with the move.
Cool glad this game is back, I am interested in seeing ACE I haven't tried it out yet myself :D Edit: Also I really like the new outro sequence, much better than the shrunk down video was :D
So, clearly when you play the Dwarves it'll be with the Skylands setting turned on, right? Where better for the hardy dwarves than in the sky, as far from the ground as conceivable? Makes perfect sense to me.
This game looks more awesome now. I am glad that I get to see you play I love how you always make a wonderful back story. If you could I would like to get a character if you get the chance. Thanks.
Perhaps you could make the mountain into a temple dedicated to (insert preferred deity here), but keep it functional as a storage place. Then maybe put the market just below so that (chosen deity) can watch over, protecting.
Woo! I'm so glad you're enjoying this game! I've spent so much time on it myself. If I get picked for a Hearthling you can just call them Pris instead of my full name =)
Hi Aavak! I know I don't comment often but I would love to be a character in the series! Your videos are always a delight to watch and I love the RP and narratives you add to your little virtual worlds. Light, love and warmth to you!
My biggest Issue with this game is that If I try making a walled settlement then usually it will lag a Lot due to the enemies trying to get in and not finding a way in and getting locked in the circle logic of trying to get in and not being able to. Therefore I have to make a "sluce" for the to filter in rather than them maybe attacking the wall of something
Hi, Avaak! So happy you are playing this game again. When the time come, I would love to have my name added, Deszaraeh. If possible, I would love to have a red head with a fox as a familiar 🦊 Are there artists in the game?
Your Series got me interested. But after i looked the game up on steam i saw mixed reviews, with many reviewers complaining the game was abandoned by the devs. What you think?
When Dwarves are released play a skyworld map with Dwarves calling themselves the Kharadron Overlords. This is an army in Games Workshop Age of Sigmar game. Dwarves in suits with air ships and the like.
You should play the game with someone or some people. It'll be an interesting sort of game when hearthlings of other owners, appear and go to your own village.
While the devs had to move on from the game once they were acquired by Riot, they did pass on the torch to the ACE mod team (hence it being the 'authorised' community expansion)
I enjoy this game so much, it really only was a matter of time until it made a reappearance on the channel... but before anyone asks: No, this doesn't mean the cancellation of any of my other series!! Good luck with the house hunting.
You said you like mostly the start of stoneharth. Will you make a full series anyway?
So glad it's back! Been waiting for another SH series :D
Seeing as how you are in a desert, I would love to see you try your hand at designing a pueblo-style city built onto the sides of your local mountain; with little walkways made of wood and wide clay windows. I think it could look amazing and you could honeycomb tunnels through the mountain for shortcuts. :)
Aavak: Chooses hard difficulty
Me: *Battle of Dapper Deep flashbacks*
Aavak playing Stone Heart and it has a number! It is a series! I am so happy in giggling!
Getting early food in the dessert:
1(optional) pause the game
2 search with the camera for fruitbearing cacti. Don't search too far
3 tell your hearlings to harvest said cacti an haul them closer to base

This series reminds me of when i watched lathrix playthrough this game. The reason i discovered aavak!!!
Actual gameplay starts at about 20:00
I think we all know the logical choice for the next playthrough, sky land dwarfs, floating keeps!
I'm the same way with trying to keep my place looking decent from the start. Because it still takes a bit to build stuff, its definitely hard to go back later and move or change things around, so a lot of times I keep starting new games haha. Yes!! More stoneheart! This was the game that got me to watch this Channel, and I’m so happy to see this coming back.
See; I adore making head-cannon civilizations. My faviourite one to make, is the last hold of the Phoenix kingdom. Super happy to see you playing this again! I bought the game not long after your livestream of it, actually. :) It's so much fun!
I am very happy to see more of this game, as the first game that got me watching your channel was Gnomoria and this is the same style of game. I loved those playthroughs quite a lot, and will enjoy seeing you go through this one. Spiderslaughter and Castlegoat forever!
I am so happy to see you playing this again Aavak it is so relaxing and fun to watch. Reminds me of watching your Dwarffortress and Gnomoria.
Wooooot I loved this game when you first played it and I was hoping for this mod!
Ah! Thank you Aavak :) I was waiting for the return of Stoneheart! I love how much this game allows your creativity to go wild~ I really liked the failed past attempts with the fidgety archer heroes :P
YES YES YEEESSSS!!! I LOVE this game and I LOVE when you play it!! So excited you started this up again!
finaly you are playing a game i like. First time back on the channel after you quit From The Depths
Welcome back in that case, hope you enjoy the series :)

10 minuets in and i am chanting "Sky Dwarf! Sky Dwarf!"
I am so happy this game is back and that it's getting a series :D

Oh, you've convinced me to want to get this game! When I have the money to spare, I'm going to get this!
Make sure to check the reviews on steam first. Apparently the game has pretty much been abandoned by the original devs since they got bought out by Riot. It's still buggy and can get super laggy, and most likely won't get fixed. So be careful.
@@Amariel30 I suppose that's why there's community mods that add and fix things. Thank you for the warning!
Yay Stone Hearth thank you Aavak =)
Do like the Stonehearth. I really Love and Miss Thea the Awaken series. WOuld love to see a series of that were trying to get more of the demon as member of the village
my man you deserve a sub
Really glad you are playing with ACE wanted to see that being played quite a bit.
Oooh, StoneHearth video. I'm excited to watch this one ^_^
I hope you enjoy :D
@@Aavak I most definitly will ^-^

A Thea 2 series is unlikely while I have an ongoing Thea 2 stream game, but far in the future, almost certainly :)
Great video, looking forward to the series
Well, being half dead is better than being all dead. At least I survived being beat up by stone kindergarteners. lol
To be fair, their fists were literal rocks.
Cool glad this game is back, I am interested in seeing ACE I haven't tried it out yet myself :D
Edit: Also I really like the new outro sequence, much better than the shrunk down video was :D
Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it ^^
Sleeping under the stars is AWESOME if the weather is nice. The weather looks nice here.
We just have to hope no dust storms catch us before we have a proper roof!
So, clearly when you play the Dwarves it'll be with the Skylands setting turned on, right? Where better for the hardy dwarves than in the sky, as far from the ground as conceivable? Makes perfect sense to me.
The glitches will make everything better. Whether they’re glitching due to being dwarves in the sky or due to Hearthling logic, we’ll never know...
I love watching you play stonehearth
I love this game. Your the reason I actually started playing it.
love your videos it help with the boredom i felt during my cancer
You're more than welcome, I hope your recovery is going well!
Super happy to see this game back!
This game looks more awesome now. I am glad that I get to see you play I love how you always make a wonderful back story. If you could I would like to get a character if you get the chance. Thanks.
WAT. HOW DID I MISS THIS?!
If Stonehearth ever was multiplayer, you should totally play with Lathrix. XD
Stonehearth has a multiplayer mode
Super excited for this series!!! YES!
Whaaaaaaa-!! I wasn't expecting more of this! So excited! :D
Ah, the perfect Background-Vibes to start cleaning up my place. =)
Perhaps you could make the mountain into a temple dedicated to (insert preferred deity here), but keep it functional as a storage place. Then maybe put the market just below so that (chosen deity) can watch over, protecting.
a fellow dwarven architect, glad to see it.
Wiii!!!! I love when @Aavak plays stonehearth :D :D is such a "him" game
I'll have to check out this ACE mod. I found vanilla to be rather lacking the last time I played.
I got inspired by this LP to build myself a desert town in Starbound ^^;
yes!!! I’m so glad this series is back :D also Pick my name for a villager 🙌
Yaaaaaay! Stonehearth! I love this game!
I have the same thing where i end up restarting games before i finnish them. Dunno why
Ah fantastic; this is something I'll want to watch ;P
New StoneHearth?! LETS GO! ^_^
When ever I hear your voice, I just have to smile :)
Thank you :)
Woo more StoneHearth!
(And with ACE as well!)
As always, my name is free for pulling from a hat! "Kd" as always :)
How about naming a dwarve ( dorvari ironhearth )
Finally. I was worried you didn't want to play the game again.
The Mod (Smart Crafter) may be a great add
We're going to end up with sky Dwarfs next series aren't we...
Marvellous. I luv this game!
I really enjoy your StoneHearth gameplay, I would love to be a Hearthling.
And the same to you ^^
I hope when the dwarves get released you'll make a series on them as well >.>
As we all should know, dying is FUN (ahhhhh dwarf Fortress)
loosing is FUN, dying is never fun.
I mean... to be fair, dying is sometimes fun in adventure mode, just because of the hilarious ways you can die in that game...
Has Radiant stopped developing Stonehearth? If so, did they finish or just quit? I think I've missed a few things in my absence of playing this game.
So thats what Soulwind and Big Al are up to when Aavak doesnt play Kenshi
I just noticed at 18:15, Caravan 76.. hmmm I'm afraid that spells more trouble than you'd initially wagered.
It's back, better then ever.
THE DAWI!
Just rebind the R key to rotate right. Set town alert to T, which is being used to make a trapper zone
the potter's wheel sound sounds like a bed when it's used by two people ;)
I’m super excited for this playthrough, love this game! (I would like to toss my name in the pool if you please)
Ooooo... more Aavak Stonehearth. Add me in to the possible victi... I mean, possible hearthling names list.
I'd also be happy to join your colony. (Just Mirage is fine.)
Good thing you got too ACE before RIOT sends them a cease and desist.
The game creators gave them specific permission to release that mod, hence the "authorized community expansion" name.
I would like to have a villager named Jullos (yule-los) I'm looking forward to the series aavak :D
A friend of mine raises Fennec foxes, they love berries and fruit.
*_*Gotta catch up intensifies*_*
moat and draw bridge?
I would love to be a Hearthling. Please Mr. Chaoticles let me be chosen.
thx aavaaaaaaaak
Hi, Avaak! So happy you are playing this game again. When the time come, I would love to have my name added, Deszaraeh. If possible, I would love to have a red head with a fox as a familiar 🦊 Are there artists in the game?
If you think of art in a broader sense, any of the craftspeople are artists ^^
eyy, cant wait.
Putting my name in, StormSinger
Why don't you just fix the keybind for rotate?
Omg yes I am so happy
The daystar burns, but i would suffer through it to join your colony.
Dwarves in suits with air ships and the like.
does this game still lag late game?
Still crying that the studio got bought and moved away from stonehearth we probably will never see the full vision of it.
I couldn't hit the like button quick enuf loved the twitch play through
You should play the game with someone or some people. It'll be an interesting sort of game when hearthlings of other owners, appear and go to your own village.
Not played this for a long time, but looking at Steam now its been abandoned since being purchased by Riot. I must play it again.
While the devs had to move on from the game once they were acquired by Riot, they did pass on the torch to the ACE mod team (hence it being the 'authorised' community expansion)
Oh man, I wonder how this will go.
