Black people in America I believe at the time was very bias to Caribbeans based on the immigration status in America. So the were bias to even Africans even though were of American descent. That's how messed up the White man made them. I sensed the bias vibes as I grew up there as a Jamaican young man. The fact was they felt they were better. Now they adopt everything from our culture almost. Hip Hop music and how its presented is the ideology of the Sound system movement from our culture. Toasting is rather called MC. DJ Kool Herc brought the concept to the streets of Bronx New York. DJ KOOL HERC is Jamaican. We brought our very delicious comfort food to them as well. We were conducive. Bob Marley was just the ICE on the cake. A major plus for us Caribbeans.

Bob's music was marketed to college students in America. They went for the middle class rock listening crowd which was predominately White youths. Being a Jamaican ,I understand Bob's semantics. I didn't like the questions about Ganja. He was sick here and didn't know it. That's how strong his spirit held it down.

Bob Marley was very deep. Someone above said he sounded uneducated. That to me is the burden of poor focus and attention. Listen closely to Bob Marley, what he says can only come from an extraordinary human being. Open, simple but very deep.

he is and sound uneducated . I knew him personally. I know some people may not believe but I can't expose how I knew Bob and Peter and all the Jamaican musicians of that era.
