I recently asked about a referral to be tested for autism. I have been told the waiting list is 2 years! That's frustrating enough and it's not even a diagnosis that will be overly important to me, I can't imagine how hard it is sitting on such long waiting lists for trans related appointments! Still, seeing medical bills from the USA I am SO greatful for the NHS. Also thank you, you just reminded me I need to renew my prescription pre payment card x

That's appalling, the NICE guidelines say diagnostic assessment should have started within 3 months of referral.

Hi :) I live in Australia. Statistically around 1.2 million UK citizens live in Australia. Anecdotally, I know a handful of them (mostly from my work) who are eligible to postal vote because of some 15 year rule that I don't understand. I get the impression that they are engaged with what is going on but removed by distance from much of the detail. From what they have said I think these people are trying to do the right thing and lodge an informed vote. So I get that everyone understandably says "I'm not going to tell you who to vote for" but maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea lol. Because if there are that many UK citizens here then there must be a few more scattered about the globe. Maya :)

And here I was thinking 4 months since receiving the referral to first appointment of many was bad :/ This is in Finland. So far it's been 2-3 months between each visit so I'm expecting it to be at least a year until getting a diagnosis and a T-prescription. Indeed, we pay in time instead of money.

Charing Cross's waiting list is 14 months, not 18.

    I can't vote as I'm 18 a week later. I'm a week out. It's so frustrating.
