Today we are checking out Yorushika! and this one we feel has a much deeper meaning behind it! the lyrics, instruments and vocal go together so well and we would love to check out some more Yorushika in the future!! so lets jump into it and LETS GET IT!!!
Ooo I love this song so much! Yorushika is an amazing singer, her voice and her music is just so nice to listen to. And this song especially, the lyrics kinda resonated within me and I cried the first time I listened to it :"D. Nice reaction btw, thank you! ^^
"Forgot the keyword!" Yorushikaaaaaaaaaa!!!! Yay! Finally! I love Yorushika so much I'm going to start a speech about them. Yorushika is a duo consisting of N-buna (read: Nabuna) as the songwriter and Suis (read: Sui) as the vocalist. Like Ayase from Yoasobi, N-buna was also a vocaloid producer before he started Yorushika. He started Yorushika in attempt to make his music have more "humanly" sound. N-buna also do some backing vocals sometimes. The first 2 album of Yorushika (the first contains this song, in fact the title of the first album is the exact same as this song) tells the story of Elma (girl) and Amy (boy). Now, from here on, I have already heard the songs but of course my Japanese is not so good so I might be wrong on some details. But the main storyline is about Amy, a boy striving to become a musician, who met Elma, an "ordinary" girl. They both influenced each other's live so much. However, one day, Amy was diagnosed that he only had (less than?) one year to live. Thus, Amy went away from Elma, to Lapland(?), however, he kept sending Elma letters, some which contains song lyrics. Same goes with Elma, who kept a journal/diary which at some part contains lyrics. There are translations of Elma's journal and Amy's letters, but I think it's still unfinished. Basically, all of Yorushika's songs up to "Nautilus" tells the story of Elma and Amy, which can only be understood clearly after knowing all of the songs and lyrics, plus Elma's journal and Amy's letters (which I have not yet achieved). This song is probably from Amy's POV, and it is a really beautiful and emotional song, and also really relatable, since I play a bit music myself. I really love the piano in this song! As for the shaky voice part, I interpreted it as doubt, because the lyrics are "I'm sure I'm not mistaken" so for me the shaky part are like questioning that statement like "I'm sure I'm not mistaken?" and continued with the last chorus "I'm mistaken, I understand." If you guys want to listen more from Yorushika, I suggest "Hitchcock" and "Say It/Itte". Both are still part of Elma and Amy story. Also, Yorushika's new album (3rd album), "Plagiarism" is out now! It contains some (not all) tracks from the anime movie "A Whisker Away/ Nakineko (there are a longer name for this in Japanese but it's too long I forgot :p)" from which Yorushika is in charge of the soundtracks! Anyways thanks for the reaction! See ya! P.S. I might make some mistake in the details of the story, but the general info about Yorushika should be correct.
@@SwiftDetae This song is from Amy's (boy's) POV and is not only a beautiful song, but actually a point where Amy decides to commit suicide. You see at the end of video how he stands on the pier? Actually in another song, he drowns himself there. So him saying "I gave up on music" is basically equivalent to "I gave up on living" which makes this so much more bittersweet. I recommend watching song Nautilus where he actually kills himself and then how the girl (Elma) reacts.

Try Nadir, Henceforth, Sugers, and others. It's really great. Btw, Orengestar produce vocaloid music, so hope you like that.
