    The translation and therefore your interpretation was off with what’s going down here. They were actually saying positive things about dating gringos. They were saying they prefer foreigners bc they are more serious. They were not saying they are “too” serious. Lol. Your interpretation is fitting a narrative. But cool video tho..!

      What you are saying makes sense. Hook ups don’t require much effort for women. But, he is right about that environment. The hook up culture doesn’t work that way. Getting on 1 knee and marring her off after a week is how you treat a virgin from a religious family.

      I was just going to comment that if Brasileiras are more traditional than western women, as it’s said, then why would they be looking down upon or clowning a man taking things like a kiss seriously. I’ve never been to Brazil myself, but from all I’ve seen and heard if that’s true it must be an ideal that’s mostly in Rio where the most hook up culture takes place vs other cities in Brazil.

    I concur with Sky to some degree. Ultimately, age, location (which is particularly crucial in Brazil), and one's life stage play significant roles. Brazilian women, especially as they mature (27 + , are less likely to tolerate nonsense, whereas younger ones often go with the flow, sometimes to their detriment.
    My partner is Afro-Brazilian, and I often overhear her conversations with friends about the immaturity of men around them ( lackadaisical attitude). However, I firmly believe in the importance of being genuine and laid-back-they appreciate that.

    Lived in Brazil three years and I've been traveling there for more than 10 years. I'm a fluent Portuguese speaker (not native..THERE'S A DIFFERENCE!!!) I have to agree with all the previous posters that your interpretation of what most of these women are saying is waaaayy off. The immediate impression I got from what they were saying about gringo dating characteristics was very positive. With respect to how "serious" American Men are, because I definitely ran across my fair share while living there, Americans are by culture goal oriented. If an American goes to a foreign country to find a wife, they very rarely look at the exercise as something they should allow to happen naturally. Even though they're well aware that's how relationships evolve. It can't be, "You like me? You love me? Let's get married!" But most men have very limited time in a foreign country to meet and court a woman, so they subsequently want to rush things once they've found someone they really like. This not only comes off desperate, but they are increasing the risk of making a very serious commitment to someone that might turn out not to be a very good partner. My suggestion to those men is once they've decided where they want to go, learn and embrace the culture before you even attempt to start dating. Make multiple trips. Build a circle of trustworthy locals and expats to show you around. Brazil is full of beautiful women and as you an see the local men aren't in a rush to jump into serious relationships. Take things slow, enjoy the experience and let things happen naturally. You'll find much greater success that way.

    Wow. Who the hell are these men who are falling in love after only one kiss? Truth be told, a kiss doesn't mean much in the U.S. either so I wonder if these men are having any success here in America. If you're good with women here in the U.S. then you should do well in Brazil because you're not going to be needy the way these Brazilian women are describing these men who fall in love in 5 seconds. I haven't been to Brazil, but I have dated a Brazilian girl before and she was the one who wanted a relationship.

  • @sarahgomes5180
    @sarahgomes5180 Месяц назад

    I'm Brazilian and you're misrepresenting the lines to fit into your narrative.
    First of all, women were praising foreigners, because compared to Brazilian men, they take the relationship more seriously, are more faithful and commit more easily, instead of stalling a woman for years.
    This is the main reason for Brazilian women to be interested in "gringos", because if you leave your country to get to Brazil and try to be “chill” in relation to relationships, what is your differential? Why are we going to prefer to date a foreigner who is treating us the same way as a Brazilian? The attraction is precisely in the differential.
    Secondly, do not try to convey an incorrect image of the country, as if all women walked like the girls in the video. Obviously we walked in lighter and shorter clothes due to the heat, but these interviews were done on the edge of the beach, so the girls were all wearing bikinis or beach outings. Women in Brazil dress very well, and you won't walk in the middle of the city and see a half-naked woman.
    And thirdly, Brazil is well polarized, you will find more liberal women, who will only want a physical and fast relationship, but you have the opposite too, which are the most traditional women. From what I understand from the "passport bros”, you do want to find serious women to marry right? Yes, you will easily find in Brazil many women with values focused on the family. But remember, if you want a traditional woman, who will take care of the house, the children and the family, that same woman is also looking for a traditional man, who will be the provider of the home. Don't expect a woman who will take care of you and your house, if you can't afford the house and the family. Of course the woman can work too, but in these cases, she will expect that in the same way that both are working in the market, that both will take care of the house together.
    How do I know that? Because I left Brazil precisely in search of a more traditional man. I was a doctor in Brazil and left my profession to start from scratch in another country, because most of the traditional women in my country are tired of the "chill" way that Brazilians treat us, and do not commit. As they like to always be at parties and often cheat without the slightest scruple. This is the appeal of the foreigner, to be a man with a capital M, and not a little son of mom who does not know how to solve problems. So if you really want a traditional woman, be also a traditional man.

    Ummm…….no dude that’s not what that means when she says Brazilian men are more laid back, that they don’t take the Brazilian women out to wine n dine. What that means is that the Brazilian aren’t all worried like the U.S. men are about trying to lock the women down after 1-2 dates, or trying to confirm what the status is of the relationship is with some “title” after 1-2 dates.
    How in the world did you interpret this…..from that?? Weird!!!
