Ironing can be daunting and troublesome. I still remember how I used to switch the dial on the iron to get the right temperature. Not only that, but you would have to wait a while before you could move to a different fabric!

Hi can you use a starch ironing aid with this iron? I do not mean added to the water container but simply a spray on to the fabric.

Personally I have not try it out, but yes, I think you should be able to do it. Just make sure you clean the base once you finish ironing (when it's cold.)

you can do both .. If you click the turbo twice it's gonna continue vaping
Hi does it really takes out stubborn creases from jeans and other materials. I am quite sceptical about a fact that there is no adjustable temperature. I had once philips steam generator ( much older model ) which had no adjustable temperature and I wasn't impressed at all.
Gunta Cuncina you have to press the iron real hard. I'm rubbish at it but my mum who use it, able to do it.

Hi, does the iron produce a rumbling sound? I just bought one and just started using it, it produces a loud rumbling noise.. Is this normal?
Lynn Koh definitely not the iron. The water tanks does a bit cos too cold environment and water tank is expanding.

I want to get one as this appears to, not only hold the ironing unit but also holds plenty garments and has a cable holder and extra and glue designed for garment wares hard to reach? How to clean the iron?
It's a good iron but nothing like TEFAL .Tefal is like the Mercedes of the steaming iron stations.Lighter,more glide and ALWAYS more powerful steam.I have this and after a month i returned to my beloved Tefal.
No because Tefal hasn't optimal temp. Philips is better.
My water has turned green in the water holder how do I clean the water holder .
Dayle Jean-Louis soak with undiluted white vinegar to get rid of the mould. It might need overnight.
To prolong the lifespan of your iron or steamer it is recommended to use distilled or demineralised water (50% demineralised water mixed with tap water could be used too).

Hate to travel with that iron . They will charge you for extra storage for luggage
Biggest load of CRAP I have ever brought! You have no choice but to constantly use the stream if you want to try and remove creases, it soaks everything! Doesn’t always give a powerful stream, the water tank is fiddly to try and mount on the base, you need to wrap the cable again when finished otherwise difficult cold, descaling alway comes up just when you are about to iron meaning you now have to wait for iron to cool back down delaying your ironing. Complete junk, bring back my old reliable TEFAL !
