  • For the last couple of months, I've been building my own custom escape room control software, based on Node-RED. This video provides a quick demonstration of the current functionality which you can make use of right now by copying any of the recipes provided in the wiki of my github library: github.com/pla...
It's very feature-rich, robust, runs on most devices (without needing an internet connection) and FREE!

Awesome, 2 years ago I was at an escape room conference and one of the seminars spoke of node red and I loved the idea. I don't like many of the software packages out there but yours is very close to what I was thinking of. A couple of thoughts: 1. Include a visual number for each puzzle. 2. Create a way to visually link linear puzzles together (groupings). This allows the game master to see if the players are stuck and at what stage they are stuck in or if they by some means solved the puzzle without get all the clues needed. I know a lot of rooms are 100% linear and grouping may not be necessary but I like rooms to be as non-linear as possible to get the most group interaction. Great videos!

    Great minds think alike ;-)
~one year ago or so when I was gathering information about creating an escape room, Node-RED was my choice for game master panel. I'm using it in my home for some basic automation. Great tool.

Absolutely excellent, looking seriously good there! Definitely looking like a real solution to those who can't afford the cost of mainstream systems, or who just want a bespoke setup.

Hello from Italy! Thank you so much for your videos, they are great and you are a very nice person! I wanted to ask you if there's a way to have multiple bgm tracks and have them change automatically when something specific happens like a door opens to a new area of the room or a drawer opens up. Thanks a lot!

I have been toying with this for a month and still can't realize how to conect this to the room screen. I can open the screen with the Control Dashboard, but how can I open the screen with the clock?
Yea, I don't know anything about MQTT xD
