The iPhone mini is one of the best iPhones I’ve ever bought and I’m coming from iPhone 11 Pro. I think the only reason why the mini is doing bad on sales is due to the name! I am going to send the 13 back as I now know the mini will be perfect for me mainly due to its size (The 13 is very big in my hand and I actually need 2 hands to use it properly). I could see the Mini becoming the new SE in the future, which would make sense. It’s a far better design than the current SE, and if it’s priced right could be the perfect entry point to iOS.
Yeah, that would be awesome! Though, Apple might stick with the iPhone 8 design for the homebutton with TouchID. My grandparents bought the SE 3 because it has a homebutton, so that they don’t have to learn gestures.
Love the Mini’s pocket friendly size but battery is very important to me so I would go for the 13. That Product Red shade on the 13 series is GORGEOUS 😍
The iPhone mini has proven to be a really great phone so far. I am very pleased. With the right settings, the battery lasts a very long time, easily all day. This phone is a winner.
I never experienced hand cramps until I started using larger iPhones. I absolutely love everything about the 5s that I kept it even now for all these years cus it was the only iPhone model that NEVER gave me any issues. I have an 11 now and I'm over it, battery life is bollocks and it didn't perform as good as older models. I am leaning toward the 13 mini cus it will probably be similar to the 5S in terms of comfort and usability.
I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini. Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible. It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.
I always like smaller phones are much nicer to hold and feel… only good thing about a huge screen is for moveies and games…. Thats why i have 60” tv at home
Hey, does the battery really last about the same? I am considering the same change, and battery is my main concern for switching from regular 11 pro to 13 mini. Hoping to get a response here :)
I really appreciate this video. I recently switched from AT&T to T-mobile. Along with the switch I got an iPhone 13 256gb. I had a 12 mini before the switch. I really wanted the 13 mini because I love the size. I’ve had all the plus/max phones and it was just to much. As I mentioned I went with the 13. I have had it a week and am thinking of exchanging it for 13 mini. After much debate and research I guess I’ll keep the 13. If the 13 mini had the battery life of the 13 it would be a no brained for me. I use a Unicorn beetle pro case on my phones, which is sort of otterbox defender-ish with not as much bulk. That case on the mini makes the perfect size and feel for me. One handed tasks with said combo are a breeze. I still feel the 13 is to big but I am sort of getting used to it and for me an extra $100 for that extra battery life makes it worth it, barely.
I consistently get 6-6.5 hours screen on time for the last 2 months using 4g and WiFi only with optimisations to settings but 50% screen brightness. It’s much better than the 12 mini I had before.
thank you for the update, I was thinking on purchasing a new phone soon because my iPhone XR is showing its age and I need the upgrade. thanks for helping me make my decision!! I really appreciate it!!!
If I’m honest with you, I upgraded from the XR to the 13 and honestly, If you have the funds, go for it. If you’re tight on funds. Keep it, it’s still a VERY capable phone to this day. Even tho it had 89% battery health i was still getting a full day out of it. I’m really enjoying the iPhone 13. Definitely a very noticeable upgrade.
I noticed that in the battery example you gave us, the iphone 13 mini user is on light mode. since the 13 line-up is using an oled display, dark mode will be more energy efficient since the black pixles turn off.
I had the choice between the iPhone 13 mini or regular, and although I’d like a one-handed phone, the extra screen and battery life made me get the regular 13.
SAME WHAT. i think its also better for my eyes - since i don’t see perfectly , since the mini is a lot smaller, im used to using like laptops, ipads, bigger phones etc
The iPhone 13 series phones are cool, but I am sticking with my iPhone 12 (black, 256GB) at least for one more year. It still works great and is plenty fast for me on iOS 15.1.1. The iPhone 13 just isn’t large enough of an upgrade for me to justify the price.
There’s really no reason to upgrade from an 12 to 13. I have the 13 my bf has the 12 and his phone performs just as well as mine! I only chose the 13 because the price difference was only $20 at my carrier for the 128gb variant.
The iphone 13 mini is a big ass win for me because I went from a maxwest phone with 16gb to a iphone 13 mini with 256gb it stands out with app space and hella storage I never had a iphone before like I said it's a big clutch with lots of space good battery good speed with no problems super light weight easy to use with one hand leaves you more space in your pockets I got what my money worth off of Amazon.
Great video! I'm currently using an iPhone X that was recently replaced under my AT&T insurance and it's running really well, so I'm going to stick with it until I can't use it any more. There's really no reason for me to get a new phone. My son's iPhone X on the other hand is just about at the end of it's life and is considering either the 13 or 13 mini. You gave a lot of really good info and I think it's going to come down to how it feels in his hand and how it feels to use a slightly smaller keyboard.
I feel like Apple has decided the fate of the SE with the 14 coming out and the mini apparently being axed for the 14 plus. I could see them making the next SE model the same as the 12/13 mini. Originally it was thought that the 11 would turn into the new SE but I could really see Apple taking advantage of the small form factor of the mini and turning that into the SE of the future.
Had been using the plus size phones (6 plus, 8 plus) and my pinkie finger had always hurt. Now Im using iphone 13 mini. powerful processor, powerful camera, great OLED display. I am not a power user so I use the phone only for calls, texts and messaging and occasional browse on FB. I always have 60% battery left by 6PM. and my hands dont hurt anymore. Love love this cute but powerful phone
I'm still using the 11 Pro Max. I'd been thinking about a 13 Pro, but I've seen/heard just enough about the red tint on the screens to hold off on upgrading.
Great review! I was leaning towards the 13 mini but decided to go with the standard 13 instead just because of additional battery life and absolutely love it! Now no hatred toward the mini I can see why a lot of people love it, it really all boils down to personal preference and what you might like. I really hope apple does continue to make the mini for the foreseeable future
yeah im a diehard android fan and have used samsung most of my life, but iphone 13 mini made me really consider apple and I'm most likely going to buy it. I decided to go with the iPhone 13 and wait till more changes on the iPhone 14 Pro to get one ... please note however in Sénégal the iPhone 13 gets supplied from France and it costs us here like 1,100 dollars. The 13 Pro and Pro max cost like between 1400 dollars upwards ...
If you have the budget for the 13 get it, you won’t regret it. Before I bought mine I did go to the store to see the mini, and I got to say it’s very very tiny
i love my 13 mini! it's the perfect size. Especially if you already have an ipad, you don't need a big phone. It just encourages you to stay glued to your phone longer, which benefits companies but doesn't benefit us 😉
I really wanted the mini but the battery life is not suited for me since I am a heavy user. The regular 13 is great but nothing beats a comfortable hold like the mini provides. I'm debating still if I should return my 13 for the mini.
Regular person here… Still on my launch JB 128 iPhone 7. It still runs as great as it did when I got it. I keep getting tempted to update but what I really wanted was a mini with 120hz display. The 13 pro is just too big. And I feel like the overall experience ios wouldn’t feel much different going from my 7 to a 13 mini. Sure maybe some apps will open a second or 2 faster but it will still feel the same being on a the same ol 60hz screen. 😪 I’ll probably ride my 7 till it dies and then breakdown and get a 13 mini if it’s the last of its kind. I really enjoy getting the most bang for my buck. And I paid $749 for my 7 and I sure am getting my money’s worth! Best iPhone I’ve had so far!

I am using a 13 mini and I really enjoy it. Battery life really depends on what apps you are using, for example I usually get 8-9 hours of screen on time using about 90-100% of the battery.

I have the pro 13 and I have considered going smaller just don’t know which one
I have 12 mini for 2 years and battery life has become a huge problem. I'm considering changing it to 13 mini but i really worry about the battery life. My 12 mini accumulator dropped to 86%.
I’ve waited so long for this - IPhone SE 1st gen 2016 to Iphone 13 mini : its simply
the best !
thank you so much. hopefully i can get one of these phones for my bday coming up :D
The iPhone mini has proven to be a really great phone so far. I am very pleased. With the right settings, the battery lasts a very long time, easily all day. This phone is a winner.
Please share with us what are the "right settings?"

I´m loving my 13 mini ! Amazing performance and the battery is great for an average user like me :)
Is the 13 mini the same size as a iPhone 5?
Glad you finally covered this. ❤️ the mini!
I hope with the improved battery life with the 13 mini it sells better.
You’ll enjoy the 13 mini hopefully but in terms of battery life, it’ll be way worse.
Oh my gosh! My hand burns sometimes using this big 11! My hand never burns with my old iPhone smaller iPhone (6 I think). I’m going with the mini!
Iphone 13 mini still performs better?😊
I always like smaller phones are much nicer to hold and feel… only good thing about a huge screen is for moveies and games…. Thats why i have 60” tv at home
I have the mini and I love it!!! The battery life is awesome. It’s equivalent to the 11 Pro that I had before.
Hey, does the battery really last about the same? I am considering the same change, and battery is my main concern for switching from regular 11 pro to 13 mini. Hoping to get a response here :)
@@marinamarkova7916
I have both
Much better on the 11 pro
I only need a powerful camera without overheating, so I guess mini is good?
I consistently get 6-6.5 hours screen on time for the last 2 months using 4g and WiFi only with optimisations to settings but 50% screen brightness. It’s much better than the 12 mini I had before.
Been using iPhone 13 256gb for 2 months now, upgraded from iPhone 7 plus. It's a huge upgrade. enjoying it🙂
I got the same one it’s a perfect size an the camera was amazing
Mini?
I want a Mini, but am not sure if the reg 13 would be better.
I ordered the regular one i have big hands
I´ll go for the 13 mini. Thanks a lot for the explanations!
Is the 13 mini the same size as a iPhone 5?
thank you for the update, I was thinking on purchasing a new phone soon because my iPhone XR is showing its age and I need the upgrade. thanks for helping me make my decision!!
Well this will be my upgrade from my iPhone 4S. It was a good run iPhone. Rip IPhone 4 2010-2022
dang. that’s more than a decade.
I’m shooting more for the regular 13 model. I have pretty big hands and I’m worried the mini might be too small for me.
Bruh u got like 3 more years of the 12 being rlly good
I have 11 and it works fine
Got the 13 pro max, coming from a note 10 plus. Took some getting used to an iPhone but so far so good. The battery is awesome.
The iphone 13 mini is a big ass win for me because I went from a maxwest phone with 16gb to a iphone 13 mini with 256gb it stands out with app space and hella storage I never had a iphone before like I said it's a big clutch with lots of space good battery good speed with no problems super light weight easy to use with one hand leaves you more space in your pockets I got what my money worth off of Amazon.
if the mini had the full 3 cameras and macro mode, I would have zero complaints
This video so helpful, I'll choose 13 due to battery life
Great video. Just what I needed… you answered all the question I had and didn’t think of!! I think I’m getting the mini
Screen on time?
After 1 year still good? Battery life?
It's the perfect size for me, and I had an iphone 5 years ago which I loved a lot but sadly battery died very quickly and left a sour taste in my mouth. If they discontinue it i'm not gonna stick with apple
@@miuletzmitzu6641 Nice! I was with android for a little over 5 years as well had a original pixel and G8 and this is my second time with apple had a 4 and 6 prior to android. No hatred towards either company it’s just that with the pixel and 6 over time had to do one too many hard resets which much like you left a sour taste in my mouth then made the switch to the 13 last month and so far no complaints lol
I have a 12 Mini & a XR. I find when I am out and about the Mini is the perfect phone. It fits in a shirt pocket and handling is easier than the larger phone. Home I use the larger phone for mail and videos and whatever. Not everyone can afford 2 phones so it is difficult. Both phones are great so it depends on your priorities. Convenience or screen size.
thats exactly what i plan to do lol, keep my xr for most home use, then get a mini to go out and about . i might be crazy for it but w.e, i dont wanna trade in my xr
@@lilyliciousssI love the XR but I’ve gotten tired of carrying a big phone. The screen may not be OLED but it’s a great LCD screen. The Mini fits into any pocket or whatever without bulging.
hey just picked up the blue 13 today came from a 12 really loving the battery life
I am a samsung galaxy note 3, note 8 and note 10plus user.. And i bought the iphone 13mini last month and ditched my samsung note 10 plus. I love this mini phone.
I like the 13 mini.. Is so comfortable to text. Plus I can use my iPad or laptop if I need a bigger screen
Yea the bigger phones suck when texting right? The fact that the 13 mini has more pixels than a 13 and is more comfortable in hand I'm definitely getting a 13 mini sometime soon
I recently added a 13 to my line up as a 3rd phone. It was actually cheaper than the 13 mini as it has a $200 off promotion. I was thinking about the 13 mini but the price drop was a no brainer. I have an s22 ultra, z fold 2,and now a iPhone 13
I watching this because I dont know if I should get the iPhone 13 128GB or the iPhone 13 Mini 256GB. Is the bigger screen worth the lost of storage?

It just encourages you to stay glued to your phone longer, which benefits companies but doesn't benefit us 😉
True 👏🏻👏🏻😂
You still like the 13 mini? Battery life is good?
I really wanted the mini but the battery life is not suited for me since I am a heavy user. The regular 13 is great but nothing beats a comfortable hold like the mini provides. I'm debating still if I should return my 13 for the mini.
Maybe get a magsafe battery from apple or other brand? Still get the comfortable hold and could easily and comfortably charge it anytime you like.
9 months later what did you decide?
1 year later what was your choice?
Best iPhone I’ve had so far!
if you find the 13 pro too big then you should definitely get the mini
iPhone 13 mini so I focus more on calls and messaging over social media consumption.
I upgraded from the iPhone 8 Plus to the iPhone 13 mini because they have within .1 inch screen sizes in a dramatically smaller frame.
Planning on doing the same. How is the experience compared to the 8 plus?
@@HarukiYamamoto so far so good. I miss the fingerprint reader and the battery life is noticeable shorter, but other than that it’s a complete upgrade.
They have the same height screen but the 8 plus is a way wider screen
I've had my 12 Mini for a year. I think I'm going to wait to see what the 14s look like. I imagine Apple will still be selling the 13 Mini at that time.
Plus at the time u know they will drop the price as well usually 100$.
Is the 13 mini the same size as a iPhone 5?
I am using a 13 mini and I really enjoy it. Battery life really depends on what apps you are using, for example I usually get 8-9 hours of screen on time using about 90-100% of the battery.
Howww? Teach me..
I’m thinking of getting the mini, maybe give some tips?
thanks for an informative picks!

People aren't buying the mini for the battery life. I bought it for the size and I love it. I came from the Galaxy NOte 20 Ultra. It's a refreshing change.. ;)
I love my 13 pro max. I literally don’t charge it for 2 or 3 days. It’s unbelievable.

I own a Midnight 13 128GB & I absolutely love it! No probs with it here!
Well with my iPhone 12 mini I get about 6 hours out of my phone and I think I know the reason why because I turn off some of those settings I didn't need and that extended my battery life

Is the 13 mini the same size as a iPhone 5?
I can’t decide between the 13 and the mini. I have small hands but I feel like the mini would be too small for me to be able to type and idk if it’s just me but the bigger you go on an iPhone these days it’s so heavy In your hands. I have the pro 13 and I have considered going smaller just don’t know which one

I have 12 mini for 2 years and battery life has become a huge problem. I'm considering changing it to 13 mini but i really worry about the battery life. My 12 mini accumulator dropped to 86%. And now I need to charge it twice a day (I use SNS, scroll Instagram but no games or RUclips). I wonder will the story repeat with 13 mini? Will it's battery drop the same way?I need light and small device since I have some problems with wrists ligaments. Although I heard there’s no much difference between 12 mini and 13 mini.
