This took me back to a dark time in my life. In my late 20s/early 30s, the Meteora and Hybrid Theory period, I was in the darkest place of my life with depression. I had next to no family support, mental health issues were just an excuse for laziness according to them, I was unmedicated, and couldn't afford to seek professional help. A lot of Linkin Park's music at that time just rang deep for me, and described a lot of my feelings at the time, and help me through some of those dark times. Of course at the time I didn't know Chester was battling mental health issues, and it reflected in the music. I'm glad that now in 2022 I'm in a much better place, though it took time to get there. I still have those dark moments, but they are thankfully brief and few and far between. Thank you Halocene for this cover, and a reminder of how far I've come in the last 20 years.
