You talk so much sense! We eat out probably once a month, and a drink out with friends now and then, we would rather eat at home with a take away and a couple of bottles of wine, like you say, you only spend what you budget for, wherever you live x Thank you so much for all your vlogs ❤

( which is a totally different experience for sure ) Many trips I've been on to places and thought, ooh I could live there...but could I really? No is the answer...... You have to create a 'real' day to day life and enjoy it and you've both worked so hard to achieve that 🙌🙂
Springs is not too bad as it’s quite big with lots of places to go. Unfortunately many of the eating places are expensive, that’s why we often go to Stargazers and Blaze pizza

You got the Pocket 3 now Bazza? IMaybe not but I noticed the DJI mics but looking again maybe they are version 1 on the Sony camera? I got a OP3 recently to complement my ZVE1. It’s so frictionless to use, I’m using it for nearly everything now. I’d really recommend they are amazing. I like these retirement info videos.

I’d never want to live in Florida, but I’d love to spend February there! Illinois can have some nasty winters! We get take out often and only go out when with friends. But I always just have water. I only have a drink once or twice a year and soda is too expensive in restaurants! Nice video!
We are retired here in the UK although my husband still works part time as he loves working but we only eat out once a month and go to the pub for a couple of drinks on a saturday lunchtime the only time we eat out every day is on holiday. I visited the outlets when we were in Orlando in January and could not get over how expensive they are now I only bought a couple of things for birthday presents prices did not seem any cheaper then normal prices in the UK.
Hi when the kids were at school they finished early on a Wednesday 1:20 pm , straight to Disney eating snacks on the way, perfect afternoon, We couldn't afford to eat out and always had to drive, We lost our roof during Irma, And the PVC fence.
I guess the don'ts all make perfect sense. Now, my Bill is still working, but he can do that from home and has been doing so for the past 15 years or so. When I'm there, we go out to have dinner maybe once every other week, but we generally don't spend more than $50 between the two of us. We've only once been to Busch Gardens, and that's pretty much it as far as parks go 🙂 We do go out, but they're usually short trips to a mall or to Tarpon Springs, which isn't too far from us. We're both in our early 60's, so walking around for hours in the Florida heat isn't really our idea of fun 🙂
Totally agree. I’m a nurse from UK here and my wife works for assisted living. We live ok but can’t afford annual passes but still manage to take our kids once or twice a year to a park but the cost of living here has shot up! We like it here a lot but you have to budget so much. The diet here is lethal. I work in Recovery and I’d say 90% of all the surgeries are from diet and lifestyle related issues. Thanks for your honesty as we are not retired yet (we should be) but got bills to pay! Great vlog!

My son came over here and his skin flared up all over his back, he went back and it disappeared, another American nurse went to UK for holiday and her allergies went! If you saw the crap the surgeons pull out of arteries here you would throw up, I see it every week.
So related again to your honest vlog… living on Malta and retired …. It’s assumed that every day is a beach day…..and evenings are laden with cocktails and alfresco dining . Not the case, far from it…… we don’t have the hurricanes but budgets, appointments and day to day tasks are very much the same. Living somewhere is very different from having your holiday. We did two hours in Disney Springs today and back home. I think it would wear on you and you would be bored shortly if you went to often.

Diet is a huge thing here, healthy food is expensive and unhealthy food is cheap

During a Hurricane, the Orlando hotels relax their pet policy and allow them to stay if you are evacuated from the coast

Not at all, never underestimate the effect work stress put on the body and my job was very stressful.
Nothing is more valuable than time, retire as early as you can, you can always make money but you will never get time back.
