I have been working on cars for 37 years and vehicles are getting more complicated your right engineers have nothing better to do then make things complicated any ways thanks for the video good explanation
They don't get complicated they make them complicated intentionally. Like wide open. So that people like you stop working on them so that to direct people to their stupid dealerships and charge a turn of money. Me I call it a few white selfish tricks that can't get enough with what they have.
Just did the job the video helped however you do not have to remove the air pump or the throttle body at all. You can take the bracket off throttle body and use a swivel socket to get the hard to reach bolt and since nothing is protruding from the thermostat housing. It slides right out. You will need to have some hose clamps ready as the factory quick connect disintegrated the car has been in Georgia and Arizona. No rust 158,000, miles. My Latino brother is a master of all!
What a nightmare this looks like. I have done lots of thermostats but this looks like things could go wrong like the quick connection coolant hoses snapping seals can leak knowing my luck but I got to just do it that's all. Thanks for all the details and nicely explained on the video 👍👍👍
I finally decided to change the thermostat after almost 3-4 years sense i got it and i started taking it apart and quick connects fittings started snapping. I just left it for another day. I'm just glad that it snapped very easily now and it didn't snap on me on the road in the middle of nowhere. Now i need to find out what those hose connections are called
Damn good video right here!!!! Out of all the videos I've watched this video right here lets you know everything with details and every type of problem you're going to come in contact with...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐... Keep up the good work brother I just subscribed to your channel
What's the hose called that connects to the aluminum / metal pipe that runs along the front of the engine.. The hose also connects to the thermostat reservoir.. my hose broke where it connects to the thermostat reservoir
That is why this company failed. The seat down and hire people to make everything hard to open so you take it to the dealer. We are living in a bad world.
You know I'm going to say one last comment about this job and taking the starter off of it Chrysler Chrysler should have been brought up on criminal charges for this
I'm going to sit here and comment it comment at this at 1 minute and 13 seconds because like this is the one job I will not do is that also what you got to do to take the starter off????
This is by far the best video i've seen for the 2.4l thermostat...nice job and I appreciate your time and hard work

My thermostat started acting up at 159000 miles. Don’t know if it caused by taking off the plastic cover or thermostat stuck open

Great video, looks challenging
This is almost like working on a thermo king unit
Good job and nice video.
Just did this today, that bottom bolt in the back makes this a lot harder than it needs to be.
Showed everything but how to remove the one bolt that’s hard to remove 😂

It wont need to reset
