Stgw57 for me - but I am biased, as I own my father‘s Stgw57 and take it regularly to the range. This gun is still quite popular as a target rifle here in Europe
Ugh these things are pricy these days. Cool video! I'd choose whichever round is cheaper to buy. Swiss 7.5 = $1 /r Nato 7.62 = $.60 /r So AMT it is for me
Great video! Yeah, I'd also have a hard time choosing between the two guns, both are very cool. 360 yards with iron sights? That's very good shooting! Cagney's grown a lot, hasn't he? Looking big and beautiful, Cags!😊
Cagney is getting huge and still growing! We're going to have a mini panther on our hands. It's such a tough call between these too, both cool in their own way despite basically being the same design.
They are pretty divergent. I’ve had an AMT for a long time and I won’t feel like a complete person until I can set a PE57 next to it. Thank you for the video!
@ dude an Stgw 57 and a Sig P210 (P49 I think is it’s military nomenclature?) is like the best combo of weapons ever issued to any soldier ever anywhere
If i have to choose one, that would be PE 57 because the OG StGw.57 battle rifle has capability for light support weapon, grenadier, and marksman role.
Clearest thing is that Swiss 7.5 hits a lot harder than NATO 7.62. I know the Swiss allegedy developed 7.5 to be more powerful & longer ranged than all competitor nations, this is good evidence that is so.
... кстати, не вижу смысла регулировки сошек по отношению к перемещению к ствольной коробке ... чем ближе сошки к ствольной коробке - тем меньше устойчивость оружия, что влияет на точность и кучность стрельбы (в автоматическом режиме)

That makes sense! I'm sure you have great memories with it!

loll love Cags and the bloopers at the end!
Ha ha. I almost didn't include them, but I couldn't resist

AMT simply because ammo is a lot easier to get. I would switch the wood out for the rubber though.
Great points! Thanks
PE57’s always gonna be my favourite. Wish I could own one myself…
I love the first two comments picked a different one! The PE57 is the classic design.
They are pretty divergent. I’ve had an AMT for a long time and I won’t feel like a complete person until I can set a PE57 next to it.
Thank you for the video!
I agree! They're definitely a set! Thank you!
👍🏼 great video!
Thanks so much! I truly appreciate hearing that!
PE57 👍🏻
I lean that direction too
Stg 57 is my favorite but oh man is that AMT nice… both quality weapons
It's funny, it might not be a commonly asked question but I think it's a good one. It's hard to choose between them
@ dude an Stgw 57 and a Sig P210 (P49 I think is it’s military nomenclature?) is like the best combo of weapons ever issued to any soldier ever anywhere
@stoops187 yeah p49. You're absolutely right. Just absolutely next level firearms!
Also thank God Cagney had the idea to show a live fire exercise, I don’t know what you’d do without him..
@ amazing weapons
Hell yeah, SIG AMT!!
Pretty spilt at this point in the comments!
If i have to choose one, that would be PE 57 because the OG StGw.57 battle rifle has capability for light support weapon, grenadier, and marksman role.
That's a cool element of the PE57, that it has that direct lineage to the STGW 57.
Dang I can't decide. I think the AMT wins for me!
It's a very tough call

Cagney enhaced your videos!
It was good having him in the full-length video!
i think they look a bit like MG 34. PE57 much more.
They definitely took inspiration from the MG34 with the roller locking design, could be in overall build, too.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
👍😀
Wet dream 1 x Wet dream 2 ❤
Ha ha. I agree
They look like chineese FALs, now cat vid update?
Ha ha. I'll have it out by Friday! Thanks for pushing me. It'll be on the staygoldhomestead channel.
