Just a tip for storing all those bags of salad mix.....either open the bag or poke a hole in it near the top and then reseal with clip after squeezing the air out of them. Hopefully this will give you a little more storage room.

Allison I agree with you dropping your pee where you did. My friend opens a trap door under her van and the pee comes out as she is driving down the highway. She refills it with biodegradible soapy water rinses it out and is good to go..
Those that dont agree can kiss our grits.
    Be Blessed Allison

I used to have a house with only one bathroom and it was downstairs (bedrooms were upstairs). I used a chamber pot so I wouldn’t have to walk downstairs when groggy. I would take it downstairs and dump it, but sometimes I was lazy and dumped it out the bedroom window. One day I was outside and saw that the grass underneath the bedroom window was so lush and green compared to the surrounding grass!

I’ve hd herd for years. At night a few helpful hints are, 1. Don’t lie down for 2 hours after you eat. 2. Sleep propped up with pillows 3. An herb called slippery elm bark helps tremendously. 3 a tea called throat coat to start the day helps a ton. 4. Be careful with coffee, I love coffee so much but sometimes I have to stop for a while and I’ve learned to never drink it on an empty stomach , this as been a game changer. 5. Try to walk I. The morning and evening. There are a lot of RUclips videos with very good info. Hope this helps~ gerd suck! And it will get worse if you don’t take it seriously. Safe travels

I wish you well on your journey. You may want to know that it's best to grind your chia or flax seeds before eating them. Otherwise they don't break down in your digestive system, and literally come out the same way they went in. None of the wonderful omega's will be absorbed if they are not released from the seed. These seeds are tiny enough to get caught in the many twists and turns of our colon, and could cause health problems over time; like diverticulitis! Just some peaceful loving advice from a Clinical Nutritionist, not meant to be critical here. Best to buy the seeds whole, then grind just the amount you're going to consume before you eat them. Store them in fridge to maintain the viability of the omega oils.

    Hey Allison!!!
Idon't know if anyone mentioned this but in case they didn't, the reflux needs to be evaluated. There's a condition known as silent reflux where you're asymptomatic. The problem with this is that persistent irritation can lead to a condition called Barrett's esophagus. Really ups the chance of developing esophageal cancer. I'm an RN and take care of reflux ( or GERD) patients pretty often. Just the next time you see your primary care provider please mention the reflux. In the mean time a 30 degree foam wedge under the mattress can reduce it at night.
Peace be on your house ( or van)

If I was living in a van I would compost my waste in a 5 gallon bucket. This way you are able to throw in cardboard, food scraps, etc and use pine pellets to absorb the liquid and leave a lovely pine scent. Throw a beautiful towel over it and spray it with peppermint essential oil or any scent that is pleasing and uplifting. Van will smell great and all waste goes in one place, easy peasy.

It's so funny. You're on the opposite journey I am. I came down to FL from VT, and now in TX heading West. I stayed in Jacksonville for a couple of days. I also stayed in Shreveport. I have a designated shopping bag for my pee jug, and take it into gas station restrooms, park restrooms, rest stop restrooms. I would never bring it in a retail establishment. I would, however, be mortified if someone saw me dumping it in public. We all have different protocol that we're comfortable with. Safe travels!

Concerning the GERD issue, my experience, you are lacking hylaraunic acid (sp) in your stomach. There is a product called Digest Gold that works wonders, I also take activated charcoal which helps get the food to move from the stomach a little faster. No dairy for me so I found these two items to be life changing. 🙂

“Drinking apple cider vinegar at least 30 minutes before bed may lower your risk of indigestion or acid reflux after laying down. Enjoy it in other ways. Apple cider vinegar can be used on a salad or in a marinade for meat or vegetables, which may be a more pleasant way to consume it than drinking it.” So with or without food, it should be okay.

My GERD went completely away by going low carb and increasing my protein and fat. Instead of getting rid of the bacon in your salad, maybe lose whatever might be sweet in there. I stopped sugar and all the starchy carbs. It has changed my life. The best part was the mental health boost, brain fog gone, motivation is back , energy is crazy and so many chronic health issues resolved. For me it's been a miracle worker. And zero medications! Love your vids and bravery! Only one suggestion: as if you don't know already where to dump your urine: just make sure it is at least 3 meters (yards) away from a watercourse, whether that is a ditch, Lake or stream. Nature has a wonderful way of getting rid of our toxic pee germies when exposed to sun, but if the rain leeches it to a drain, it can spread around and who know a small animal could drink it and get sick. Just saying!

I just got done with my two-week excursion and it ended in disaster my car ended up breaking down after I got off the freeway and pulled into a gas station, thank God because earlier I had been on a road that was out in the middle of nowhere instead of going through Los Angeles and that would have been really scary if it had broken down over there. And luckily I was within a 200-mile radius of my home, just barely, so I was able to get towed home but I'm pretty sure my car is totaled it's probably the transmission or a belt broke I'm not really sure but now I can't work cuz I do delivery for a living so I'm really wondering what I'm going to do now.

I used long years ago to have acid reflux, at the time someone from my family that loves to read and to use natural medicine suggested me to try lemon and ginger tea with honey, it did worked for me and for more than a decade a didn't have any problem with acid reflux, and I am a coffee lover too. I think you could put this one in your list to try it, it is health and a delicious tea, I hope it works for you as did for me. 😊

Most Kefir has a lot of sugars, also dairy turns to sugars in the body. A great alternative for building up natural good flora/probiotics in the body is KIMCHI. This has been used for thousands of years and it’s much healthier and effective. Yeah, it doesn’t taste as “fun” to most of us but it’s much better for our bodies. We can even make it ourselves if desired. I love your videos and seeing your grocery hauls!! I too don’t do Starbucks for many reasons. Dunkin Donuts many years ago used to have tasty coffee but nit so much anymore, and it’s all SO overpriced!!! Edit: also Kimchi is very low calorie. You can find it usually cheaper in Asian type markets too.

Kimchi is a great topper for many foods. I use it like salsa or ketchup.

@@michelle7352 that’s awesome!!! I found that the more sugar i got out of my diet, the more my natural tastebuds changed. So what used to taste “ick” to me, took on a whole other taste and became bearable, even enjoyable. Sugar truly is our enemy. Causes inflammation and turns to fat in the body. Kimchi as a topper is excellent like you said! Even buying those expensive extra fermented pickles (Bubbies brand) are soooo yummy and full of healthy pre/probiotics for gut Health too!

Store bought kefir has a lot of sugar, yes, but when you make it at home, there is virtually no sugar. The kefir grains eat all the sugar out of the milk as it is fermenting, and it is very healthy for you. But yeah, too bad the store bought stuff isn't so good... WAY too much sugar, so if people don't know the difference they think all kefir is sugary, which is so far from the truth.

I put flax and chia seeds in my yogurt! It’s part of a low carb “granola,” I made, which also has coconut, almonds, a tiny bit of dried fruit, pecans, and I think that’s all!
I would love to know how you make your coffee. You showed us how you boiled the water but then what? Pour over? French press?

I’ve only lived in Florida for 1.5 yrs and have learned to shop around. Publix is fabulous for their bakery and even their fruit and produce is pretty decent and not too crazy priced. I shop mostly at Aldi and Sam’s and for just the few items that cannot be found at either, I’ll do publix. Luckily in my area they are practically right across the street from each other so it’s kinda like one stop shopping.
I only drink a small amount of kefir a day, maybe 1/2 cup or so. I’m not sure how much it helps but I actually do like it.

I don’t know if Florida had the salad restaurant chain named Salad and Go, but I recently discovered they have a 24 Oz. Ice coffee for $1.24 they have a pretty decent but limited add ins like 1/2 and 1/2, almond milk, simple syrup, etc. It’s very good and refreshing. Their salads and wraps are good too, the salad container is huge, so you can put your dressing on, the. Recover it and shake it to distribute the dressing. The ultimate tossed salad, AND The salads are like $5.00!
I remember when you lived in your car and would park close to a storm drain so you could dispose of your urine right into the sewer. I genuinely hope there’s no one out here that opposes how you do things, those plants get watered almost every night, so the sprinklers will was away and dilute your offerings!
Hope you get a grasp on that GERD, I too take the generic equivalent of protonix, and at one time took it twice a day. The problem with proton pump inhibitors is that they’ve been linked to Alzheimer’s disease, so taking it short term is fine, while your body heals and gets back in balance, your body has been thru A LOT over the past few months, heck, your body hasn’t even cleared out the anesthesia from your surgery. The GERD could be what caused your pneumonia though, so I’m really glad your trying to fix it with diet, exercise, and medication. BTW it looks like someone played a real live version of Fruit Ninja out there at the beach!!! 😂

If you research it you'll find that gerd is actually a low acid problem and so taking antacids is the worst thing to do. Take a spoonful of baking soda in water instead. That diet that she is on is absolutely horrific and if she doesn't change it then she will most likely lose her gall bladder and worse.

Please listen to those saying gallbladder. It’s often misdiagnosed until it’s too late to reverse especially in women. Find a Dr who will check your gall bladder function not just imaging. I was sent home from the hospital 6 times with no diagnosis from the same thing you describe. (And told GERD). By the time I was properly diagnosed my gallbladder was zero percent functional, I was put on IV antibiotics for 2 days and nothing by mouth before they could even do the surgery to remove it. Nothing is the same after you lose your gallbladder no matter what they tell you. Save your gallbladder while you can. If you can.

I have lived an hour east of Big D since the 80's and could not be more satisfied with the area. :-)

GERD: you have carbonic acid, which means your food isn't digesting, it's fermenting. You need _more_ stomach acid (hydrochloric acid.) You can get this by taking oregano oil capsules or ingesting any "digestive" herbs and spices like ginger, cardamom, dill, etc. I got a handle on mine by drinking Bigelow's vanilla chai after meals.
Oh-- and try to avoid especially sugar, but also pretty much processed foods entirely. But especially sugar.
    The ketchup is probably ok.
Sending healing prayers your way. 🙏💚

I had a big problem with acid reflux and it also creates so many bubbles that I can’t breathe end up in the emergency ward and they think I’m having a heart attack. That’s how intense it got. It’s a simple cure put baking soda in water drink it that gets rid of that neutralize it just like a car battery or you can drink lemon water It’s that simple it was for me. Anyway good luck with that.

I live in northwest Florida and there are multiple places to live in Florida rather than Jacksonville. Ocala area is the prettiest area in Florida if beach access is not critical. Orlando area is best for things to do. Miami to Palm Beach is best for beaches and things to do with a big city vibe. When you want to settle down eventually take a month or two to explore Florida. Florida has no state income tax. The climate is hot particularly in summer but there is zero snow and ice storms etc. Winter and the shoulder seasons are great temperature wise, typically mild and comfortable. 😅

The tires are most likely just deflated as the car has been sitting there forever. It happens. Found online "You may find that your tyres lose pressure or start to slightly deflate over time while the car is immobile. This is because rubber is porous, and while it's not enough to cause an issue normally, air molecules can make their way through the rubber slowly over a period of time."

I get that too with my GERD. The pain in your chest, the pain in my Upper back and my shoulder. I actually thought i was having a heart attack but went and had it all ruled out. They put me on Omeprazol for it. I do try to watch my diet too, but have learned to make sure i take the Omeprazole before i take Aleve for my body pain, or spicy food and even coffee can be a trigger. Try to stick to organic. Trader Joe’s has a great one if you are traveling around, then you can stop in there.

Must try munk fruit sweetener, I mostly enjoy the “now” brand organic extract powder. You use very little and it’s perfect with coffee or tea. A little pricey on Amazon but i think it’s worth it. Also may not apply to you but your GERD and back pain sounds like gallbladder symptoms. Even if you’ve had yours out you can still experience spasms in biliary ducts. Only thing that helped me was limiting processed foods, baked goods, higher fat foods
