    Superb television series that will never be repeated ever again. The acting and the stories along with the great guest stars was priceless Period !!!!!

    I remember watching this show very well back in the 70s. ABC had a hit with this one. May Efrem Zimbalist Jr. Rest in peace.

    My dad used to watch this show all the time. Being a former cop for the NYPD, he would research the case files afterwards. RIP :(

    William Windom was in so many series in the 60s and 70s. Just a good reliable actor who never got the fame he deserved.

      William Windom was a versatile actor. He played in everything from "All in the Family" as a buddy of Archie to a dark troubled character "The Detective" with Frank Sinatra

    Quinn Martin and the Ford Motor Company had an excellent relationship. Every TV show he produced ( The FBI, Cannon, Barnaby Jones, The Streets of San Francisco, The Invaders, The Fugitive, etc.)had a Ford, Lincoln and Mercury product in it driven by the good guys and the bad guys.

    Thank you for posting this video. I really appreciate the opening theme song with "The Ford Motor Company Presents The FBI" so much, along with the closing theme song driving either the Mustang or Cougar. Please post from 1969 and 1970 if you have them.

      My dad worked for a Ford dealership for many years - so of course my family watched this show every week.
      Today my brother owns 2 Mustangs, both pre-1970.

    I see Dominic Frontiere was no longer doing the music for season 3 (excluding the theme tune, he conducted the music for season 1). But in 1967 when this was filmed he had The Invaders ongoing, so that may be why.

    This was a good family show. Exciting stories of America's preeminent law enforcement agency. At least back then. The Bureau catches a lot of flack today. I do not know what to believe. J. Edgar Hoover had some great gunfighters on the job back when Special Agents carried revolvers.

      @@williamdunphy352 I think it was still listed as sponsored by Ford, but Ford inserted Lincoln-Mercury commercials during the show. I clearly remember seeing the Lincoln-Mercury commercials with Marilyn Maye singing "Step To The Rear" tailored with special Lincoln-Mercury lyrics and seeing at the end of other Lincoln-Mercury commercials (during the show) the Cougar (animal) on top of the Lincoln-Mercury sign growling with the announcer saying..."At The Sign Of The Cat."

    I remember some of the later seasons when the Kinney version of the WB logo would come up at the end, and looking at it like it was going to jump out of the TV screen and attack me, or something!! (Ha!) Yes, I had a pretty wild imagination when I was a little boy!

      always thought the Kinney version of the WB shield was kinda lame....don't feel bad; kids freak out over the weirdest things.....btw, the original WB shield was a mighty shield!!.....

      @@joshpritt2146my first thought was that you were talking about the W7 logo (Warner Brothers/Seven Arts, which existed between 1967 and 1969), but then I realized you were referring to the Warner Communications logo that appeared as early as 1972.

      Actually, I just realized this is a different season.They shortened his little drive at the end. I guess Ford wanted Emfrem to do it each season as a new Mustang came out..shame for cutting that music off

      That was Hank Simms, who announced the majority of Quinn Martin Production shows, including Barnaby Jones, Cannon and The Streets of San Francisco.
