I think you're set up is fine. I think it's just two different setups to supply water yours has two lines one to supply the manifold one to supply your main supply. On the other set up with the t you have one main supply and teed off to supply the other basically two different ways to skin a cat I think they have different setup for different hauls. I have an SLX but I have those fittings on your exhaust but nothing is on them it's just set up differently

I just bought a 1998 Polaris sltx today and got it running in 2 days it wasn’t starting cause of a rusted contact point for a fuse but it runs and it just automatically shuts off when going slow but when I’m going fast it’ll go all day any idea?

I picked up a polaris with a no spark condition. It needed a cdi box. Polaris had horrible problems with the Ficht ignition systems. They mismatched the stator to the cdi and it always will take out the cdi box. This was on the Virage models. They were also bad about the flywheel magnets coming loose. I will say my 2002 Virage 700 rides better than the Kawasaki jet skis. It starts better and uses far less fuel because it has a single carb.
I will check my hoses but I remember my thermostat hose running all the way out to the rear.

Appreciate the feedback. I've owned several Polaris PWC.over the years and Ive collected many spare parts since there getting harder to find. Ive owned 750 SLT, 780 SLT, 750 SL, SLH 700 and now the SLTX. Never had any issues with the cdi or stators. Had issues with driveshafts, holes in Pistons, index on crank and have replaced pistons and rebuilt at least 3 or 4 Fuji triples. Easy engines to work on. Rebuilt many carbs and flushed gas tanks with bad fuel but with all the info on bad CDI and ignitions I've never seen one personally. I've had a voltage regulator go bad on me. I have spare CDI, coils , wires, cylinder and pistons just in case I need one eventuallly as I have purchased a couple Polaris over the yrs for spare parts machines. I even have extra jet pumps and impellers in case. If you have pics for me text them to 2089811192. Thanks

It was the Virage models and the G⁸enesis models especially if they had Direct injection systems. The cdi box can cost 1400.00 to replace. I think most of the models you listed were 90's models. I am talking about 2000 and up versions. It led to polaris' decision to quit making jet skis because of the unreliable electronics.

I am going to my local jet ski junkyard I will see if they have that model you are working on and send you a picture.

I'm working on a 99' 1200 Genesis. There was no thermostat in this one. I know for sure it's never been takin apart before. My parents have owned it from New.

Getting water coming out the spark plug holes when firing it over. Do u think it could be the o rings on top of piston housing ? Or manifold gasket? Trying to figure out how water getting in

If it’s coming out circle around the spark plug then you just need new orings

Yes straight out plug holes... while the water flush was hooked up. Tore it down to pistons and didn't find anything. Thinking orings wore out .
