Just coming back to comment because I watched on tv !! Another great video I’m using a specific note book called Kate’s 365 days of JJ ideas ! A huge undertaking for sure but, can’t be happier you did it 💕Cheryl
Kate you are on a roll girl! This looks really fun and the end result is really pretty & cute! In the past I have saved flowers from our yard in the spring time and summer, but I forget what books I have put them in...lol omgoodness.😂 Thank you for sharing... great Idea!🥰
The possibilities are endless, I have also made these where I put a vintage picture of an old woman on one side and a young girl on the other as to show the passing of time and decorated the front with collaging and added labels and little flower stickers. I do love making things with these vintage slides! Thanks for watching and subscribing! ❤
Good morning, I just found your channel. Thank you for describing everything clearly. I really appreciate that! You’re not in a hurry, and I love this great little project. I’m a Gardner, so I’ll have fun drying my own. I’ll have to watch the other videos to catch up! ❤️
These are adorable. As I was watching I ran to my box of photos to see if I have any of the slide frames.😢 I didn't. Hopefully I can find some because id love to make these. TYFS
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video, I do have them available at my live sales right here on this channel. My next sale will be towards the end of this month. If you subscribed and added notifications you should see it. Hope to see you there! ❤️
I like this! Very nice. Where do you purchase the ball and chain thing? I don’t have slide but I could use these square things that you use to save a coin in. It already has the clear see threw thingy on them. Thank you kindly for sharing this ❤
Hello, I sell all the materials used to create these on my live sales on this channel. The chain is available at most craft stores as well. Thanks for watching! ❤️
I will try! I’m thinking I need to purchase some filming lights as in person it is very bright but on film less so. Still working on my set up! Thank you for watching and for the tip. ❤️
As an antiquer, I gotta say this got my eye twitching because slides will never be made again and are rapidly disappearing from peoples basements. That said, I think I have a few I could spare for crafting because they came out so overexposed there is no picture there. 😅 Otherwise, the finished product really does look a lot like my specimen cards that take me 10 times as long to create! ❤
I am a licensed language appraiser and I can assure no masterpieces were destroyed in the making of this video! 🤣. This is a great way to upcycle items that would otherwise end up in the landfill. Thank you for watching and I hope you give this project a try! ❤️
I discovered you at the beginning of this series and I watch each day! Love your tutorials. I love the idea of using the ball chain and I went to amazon to purchase and was blown away by all the sizes available. Which size do you prefer for this type of use? Thanks so much! Looking forward to the rest of your vidoes this year!
Thank you! I will have them available at my next live sale in a few weeks. Live sales happen right here on my channel. If you’d are subscribed you should see it. ❤️
Where to get them? Maybe ask some older people if they have any they would part with. I am almost 85 and I have about 12 reels of 100 that we are trying to get digitized. By the way if any of your relatives have slides….( family history here). Converting them to digital would preserve them. We are working on that now. Another place to look is to ask at antique shops or if you have access to a photography store you could ask there……
Unless they are family photos it’s okay to use them, they are plentiful and often end up in the landfill. Maybe try tracing around them on some cardstock and using a square punch for the center? ❤️
I will have them available for sale so you can get them and create your own tiny masterpieces in my live sale later this month. Live sales happen right here on my channel, if you’re subscribed you should get a notification. Thanks! ❤️
Always good to have these in our stash, they are so versatile. TFS Hugs and Smiles
I love that you are thinking about your stash, it will help you to make some amazing pieces of mixed media art! Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Great idea. Since I don’t have the slides, I had to draw them onto a file folder and cut them out. A lot easier your way. Great project.😍
Thanks for sharing your creative solution! I hope you give my method a go in the future!
I have a ton of slides! Thanks for the great idea on how to utilize these!
You are welcome! I am so glad you found this tutorial helpful! ❤️
Nice 👍
Sure like these, Kate. Wish I had some of the old slides my folks had.
Thanks so much! ❤️
Couldn't we use our old scrapbooking "slide" holder thingies that might be called antique by now😂 thanks so much

I have used my fresh flowers for fabric pounding for my journals but I will dry some for these this summer. Thanks
You are very welcome! I hope you love the results! ❤️
Another winner for me. I pressed/dried a ton of my flowers from my garden last summer.
You could make some beautiful charms with those flowers! ❤️

Cute charm idea - thanks 🤩

I wish my stepmother had not thrown away my dad’s slides when he passed. I asked for them but she tossed them. I’ll have to look for them. Great idea.
I am so sorry to hear that. I hope you find some and can make them into a lovely piece of art!
Love the series. Ty

I love these! Do you mind zooming in on what you’re doing? It’s very hard to see with the dim lighting
I will try! I’m thinking I need to purchase some filming lights as in person it is very bright but on film less so. Still working on my set up! Thank you for watching and for the tip. ❤️

I’m not sure but I think it may be the smallest or maybe 3mm.
Thanks!

I do have the vintage slides available and there are also dies that can cut a similar shape as well. Thank you for watching! ❤️
old slides are one of those tools I just can't make myself use!
