Here's an idea. MAke one with a SAK and as few other tools as possible. I kind of like the idea that most people can get into leather work if they already have an SAK with just some needles thread and cheep leather from ebay, say reclaimed sofa leather for example.
When you stamped the leather, what did you apply to it first? And is it better to do a clamp like you did rather than stamping down on the leather if it is softer like that? I'm just now getting into leather working and trying to learn as much as I can. Also, what glue did you use? Thank you for the great video as well!
Hi, I want to try leather work... what thread are you using (0.6, 0.8, 1mm ? an expensive brand or cheap one? ) and what size for the stitching punch (3,4,5,6mm ?). I've just ordered a kit of 3mm stitching punch kit on Amazon... and I wonder if that's not too small, especially if I want to use polyester thread. Thanks
I use 1 mm thread & rhombus puncher with 5 mm pitch. The threads are Chinese. The smaller the thread, the smaller the size of the punches. The beauty of the seam is important. I picked it out solely by experience
Very nice touch on the matching red stitching and paracord!
Thanks
I have been thinking about making something like this for my SAK too.
I would love one for my Pioneer Alox! Great work! Can’t find anything like this to buy online!

@@davidmathews2124 I ordered the stamp in my country. Brass stamp. I don't remember the contact. I must remember :-)

Thanks for the review. I use a heated stamp. You can wet the skin a little. I use a brass stamp. I use glue 88. I do not know if you have one )))
@@MadBeardTop Thanks for the response! I found something similar to glue88 or at least I think it is. Thanks again!
