You guys need to package the battery on the front of the packaging where the consumer can see it. It is literallly hidden in the back / bottom of the packaging.
I purchased this from a large chain in Canada. I should go back to the store and force the manager to pull them all (contact their corporate office) and tell the manufacturer to put labels on the front of the packaging notifying the customer that the battery for the NCV is, as you say, hidden away on the back of the packaging. It's actually quite insane but I guess when you get shocked you'll find this video and wish you noticed that before you threw the battery in the trash. It's an LR44 battery, by the way. Your message saved me from having done that. THANK-YOU!!! The company should have the battery installed but with a plastic pull-tab. Oh my. Read a comment below. This has happened, people tossing the battery!!!
Haha, I bought mine at Menards, there was a sheet of paper inside telling me where to download the instructions because they were going green and it also said there was no battery included. I live 30 miles from town, it would have been nice to know I had to buy a battery to make this thing work. I had to make a special trip back to town for a battery. Can you use this on walls to tell where the wiring is located so it does not get drilled through? I tried using it on my wall in a 4' by 4' square and the light lit up like there were wires running all over inside that wall. How do you trust something like that?
I bought this and opened it up and tossed the package. Tried to use a week or so later and just realized I tossed the battery. Can’t find a battery in stock anywhere.
