  • What do Good Project Managers do that Average Project Managers Don't?
    That's a question I get asked a lot.
So, in this video I set out to answer it, and I focus on two priorities that good project managers tend to focus on, which average project managers do not.
In this video I refer to two of my books:
    1. The Influence Agenda: A Systematic Approach to Aligning Stakeholders in Times of Change - geni.us/InfAg
    2. Brilliant Project Leader: What the best project leaders know, do and say to get results, every time - geni.us/ACdC
These two may gve you a hint to where my thinking is going in this video and what I think good project managers do differently.

I’m binge watching all of your videos, but I felt sad many time during watching some of them due to how realistic and great your advice was and how I didn’t do the correct thing at that time and it affected my career.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us it has helped me immensely, I will buy all of your books once I get my PMP certificate.
Btw I wish that you had PMP 35 PDUs course!

Aziz, Good Luck with your PMP. The only wasted experiences are those you don't learn from, so you are doing the right thing.
My courses are eligible for self-certified PDUs. But my core course are not keyed into the PMP syllabus. However, you may like my PMP Study Guide and Resource Kit: school.onlinepmcourses.com/p/pmp-study-guide It will point you to my videos and articles that will help with each item of the PMP ECO (syllabus).

I think 'management' characterized as some routine role, is confused with 'clericalism'. If a manager is not leading, she is not managing. If a leader is not managing, he is not leading. Leading is the human aspect of managing!

I don't think your introduction of the term 'clericalism' (which applies to church-based hierarchies) is helpful here. But I do agree that leadershis indeed a part of the role a manager must fulfil and likewise, a leader needs to manage. But this does not invalidate the distinction between the tasks of leadership and management.

I'm not clear what you mean. Are you talking about Project Change Control - controlling scope and functionality changes? Or do you mean Change Management - leading the process of organizational change? I have resources for both...

Maybe you speak English very well. Many of my audience have English as a second or third language and do not. Please do speed up the audio if it helps you, but my international audience seems mostly to like my pacing.
