Vigor honestly has very few cheaters, recoil on the guns is actually fairly accurate considering the player character is supposed to be some journalist who got wrecked/stranded in a warzone
I feel like Division 1s survival was the first extraction shooter. Love me some Witchfire, have been playing it on and off for awhile now and I always enjoy going and doing a couple runs. One thing I would love is a coop mode with tougher maps
I’m one of the fans that have recommended that you try Vigor for years and I’m so happy you finally have!!! Its such a good an underrated game. It mixes in the intensity of Tarkov without the complex weapon/armor/movement mechanics. Killing isn’t even a necessity to succeed and accomplish goals which I love because there’s opportunities for everyone and allows a lot of freedom to play however you want and can make the game play feel more enjoyable.
I wish I could still recommend vigor, but that game has just been circling the drain for the last year or two. I've put hundreds of hours into that game, but I just can't support them anymore when the devs don't listen to any feedback or fix any bugs in the game. The nerf to the donation box recently was the final nail in the coffin for me
@ I’d actually argue they listen to feedback a lot. Problem is they get it from the wrong source. Instead of listening to the long time dedicated players such as yourself or their partnered Content Creators that just wanna see the game succeed they listen to the new an causal players that just started playing so they can get them to stay an buy the battle pass. That’s why all of our favorite guns and tools and even movement mechanics get nerfed. That being said a lot of games r doing this now. An the current weapons system feels balanced as far as the guns an their accuracy. So they finally figured that part out.
@ an now with delta force around the corner the Vigor devs will finally have a reason to step their game up. I feel like hunt showdown being back on Xbox game pass may already be doing that.
Worth noting for Tarkov, you can buy the standard edition for $50 and purchase the PVE mode for 10 or 15 dollars. Additionally, there are no character wipes in PVE!

Then on the weekends I’m up making breakfast for the household in a great mood ready for the day instead of being groggy and foggy and wanting more sleep. I can’t speak for everyone but it’s been fantastic for me personally and a better mood overall to be a better father and husband and still get my competitive gaming itch taken care of. Side note: I also run into way more gamer dads doing the same thing! Pretty cool lol
Grey zone is poorly optimized, clunky and the AI are pretty bad. It's a cool concept I suppose but the pve is just a bunch of people running around shooting everything that moves. Not very immersive

I have played vigor from release, honestly a great game other then lack of oce serves. Originally a 20nzd game from that went free on xbox, then to others glad they got funding. You can make gold from base so not so payed to win when base upgrades don't mean better lot

no gray zone ? Iv had so much fun in that game, Tarkov was my first extraction but was way too hardcore imo and filled with cheater at that time, dont know how that situation is now. Another extraction game which is sunset now was The Cycle, was such a good game!
Witchfire is a very fun game👌 although the current amount of content in the “early access” can be completed within 10 hours easily. So the fact that people are upwards of 100 hours or more is insane to me. I personally couldn’t imagine just re running the same maps over and over because the content doesn’t change at all but I am looking forward to the next addition of content later this month👌🤷♂️
Gray Zone Warfare is a pretty decent Pve/PvPvE Extraction Shooter. Needs a deeper loot pool sure as there's not much to extract outside of ammo and meds but the gunplay and overall design is pretty enjoyable

Ugh, man vigor used to be good. Has always had a little jank, but the devs have never listened to feedback and have just made worse and worse decisions around monitization without fixing ANY bugs. I started playing it like 4 or 5 years ago and god damn there's STILL a bug that doesn't let you shoot or use consumables until you mantle something. YEARS with the SAME BUG. So dumb

The NEED for studying in Tarkov is exactly why i refuse to redownload it. It punishes you at every opportunity. Why can't the game just let me know where I need to go extract?? Why does it have to be so uninformative and terrible to grind
bro redownload the game and go into a raid offline and learn the maps that way you can even turn off scavs in offline raids that's how all of us learned the maps and also giving the game more than a couple hours to learn all the maps its all about repetition

Then it seemed many realized it would never be close to Day Z in regards to PVE mechanics > f2p whaling shiz eating souls between patches.

The mp5sd should not kick like I’m firing a gauss. The grease gun, notoriously easy to control, is in the game after being bred with a mule. Still kept the look of a grease gun, but gained the mules kick.
Stone you should look to play the spt mod for tarkov. Its a free, co-op, pve mod, and its 10x better than official pve. You can mod in new weapons, ai tweaks, traders, minimaps, etc. The ai tweaks are insane because the ai pmcs play like actual players. Finding flanks, jumping corners, angles to peak from, and new players like myself can make them easier then slowly tune the ai up in difficulty as they get a better feel for the game.
You didn't get far in Witchfire because it isn't same genre of games! Witchfire is ROGUELIKE (Think Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Sekiro, Dead Cells, Holow Knight or Hades) in those games you are not suppose to survive or beat it in first run, not even 10th run but with every run you do..., you get a bit more options via weapons, spells, paths etc..., Witchfire is GREAT GAME but horrible in this context since it does not belong here..., you should have placed Hunt Showdown instead...
I personally think witchfire kinda falls in between roguelike and extraction because while yes you keep all of your weapon and gear research progress when you die but you cant level up unless you successfully extract from the map and then of course the sprinkle of dark souls being able to retrieve your lost level currency. its just a big melting pot of genres!
cuz he's mentioned it a lot and he's been playing it a lot lately in lieu of Warzone lately. It makes more sense for him to cover the ones he HASN'T played much yet in comparison

Vigor has been around for a while and has come a long way since it was released.
Arena breakout is another heavy hitter in the extraction genre right now. Even with a mobile version.

I stopped playing tarkov cause of all the resetting. By the time I get halfway decent gear or unlock the flea market another wipe comes.
ive started doing pve strictly for that reason 15$ extra isnt too bad

As other said PvE Tarkov is around 50-60 euros. 30-40 i think for basic game and like 20ish for pve
