Crusher feels oppressive. If it wasn’t so easily discoverable I don’t think it would be a problem. But having to face three, four, or even five of them in a game is absurd. Even if you’re not a weapon class the amount of life gain the DK gets is frustrating.
Crusher is 4 mana and doesn't have any real ways to buff it. 3 hp a turn makes it slightly better than truesilver for health gain. It's a useful tool against weapon classes but it's absolutely a fair card. DK has tons of lifesteal by a bunch of other means
The fact that so many oppressive cards like Crusher and Reverb are easy to discover drives me insane. There needs to be a backend rules change to restrict how many of a card you can generate.
@@speakergreene8269 the problem isn't the normal crushers. It's the discovered ones that are 4/4. That's 16 face damage and 4 turns of not being able to swing yourself.
@@speakergreene8269 I'd argue that it's not necessarily the life gain, it's the three turns of freezing on top.

Discovery effects when the card pool is very low and a strong card is withing that pool are just oppressive. There are multiple instances of this this set ; Crusher and window shopper are 2 great examples.
Also this is not discover effect but they changed Sunset Volley to 9 because there were so few 10cost spells that tentacles were just stupid once you reached 10cost.
So what seems to be a recurring issue that makes cards like crusher more and more annoying to play against is the consistency in which discover seems to grant incredibly specific cards because the discover pools are so small (like window shopper grabbing magtheridon like 80% if the time). I mean and of course bugs. Its a shame because the cards themselves are really cool. So long as its not easy to get far more copies than the two the game restricts deckbuilding to.
This. Unhindered swings to the enemy hero with two in-deck Crushers is +18 recovered health. More than half your base health. That's bananas!
If you get lucky and discover 2 more and get full attack value out of them that's another +18 health recovered. And the plus side of freezing the enemy hero or a large minion for a turn.

@@RAFAKAUST Dont forget the ones discovered from the 1-cost card have +1/+1 so you get even more freeze and healing.
Discover needs a backend rules change to prevent getting excessive amounts of single cards.

I remember my death knight opponent discovering 4 or 5 crusher and kept me frozen for entire game, at the end of the game my frog staff still had 7 durability left 😭
Y'know when Thrall said he was the frozen heart of the scourge, I don't think he meant that so literally.

I hate this meta. Dont like any of the decks atm.
Dont like Reno decks, dont like the Warlock card Forge of Wills, dont like to play against Whizbang decks, and plus cant find a good Paladin deck.
At least forge was finally addressed to be an issue. Hopefully it won't be as oppressive an occurrence when playing against warlocks.
@@stephenconstantinou6975 From my experience, they still do the same thing albeit just 1 turn later. Hits the board with Giants or the 15/15.
Huge respect with the paladin deck request. I tried making a hand buff, but later in the climb, I kept getting crushed by none other than OP death knight.
Well, good news - they did a *massive* balance patch 2 days ago so the meta has changed
Copy Sif 2 times and deal 16+ damage with two 1 mana spells. My freaking god.
