fun fact in the manga Jinzo and the legendary fisherman had different levels. jinzo was level 7 so it required 2 tributes BUT legendary fisherman was level 4 so it required no tributes. this made legendary fisherman an actually good card in joey's deck because it was 1850 beat stick, just like how gearfried and panther warrior were. in the manga panther warrior was just a normal monster so it was also very useful. in summary, joey's manga deck was amazing.
I forgot all about these tidbits!! Argh, just goes to show you some reworks from manga to anime/tcg just don't hold up. The only good change here is Jinzo

Joey truly embraced childhood mentality. He just kept winning “Rare Cards” that all worked in their own dedicated decks (Fisherman, Insect Queen) and said “THESE ARE SHINY AND MUST BE GOOD SO I USE”… with the exception of Jinzo being busted.

If we go by anime, all decks are awful because it's the only way jaden deck can win a thing. Besides Zane that has a good deck even in the anime, all characters have to have a bad decks.
I truly hope they use manga cards for the decks, because otherwise it’s gonna be the same thing, some characters have will good decks others truly bad decks

Ive tried to get my friends to play this game, but they strongly refuse to play because they don't like Yu-Gi-Oh. Oh well at least I can get some enjoyment out of this game. Keep up the good work!!
I feel like Joey is supposed to represent the average player that's just using what he has to the best of his ability cause look at Yugi, his grandpa owns a game shop so while he doesn't have unlimited packs he can get them at a discount at the very least. On top of that millennium puzzle gives him god level luck. Then there's kaiba who has enough "EF YOU" money to buy 3 copies of every single card printed TODAY at 10 times the value without making a dent in his bank account. Joey most packs he ever had at once was probably when Duke gave him a bunch of packs for the draft duel.

It was actually kind of similar for Yugi. Both Berfomet and Jack’s night were level 4 in the manga giving him far fewer bricks.

Joey didn't have Red eyes black dragon in his deck when battle city started, it was taken from him before the tournament started by rare hunters but was won by yugi later
Also yugi didnt have summoned skull Gaia and other monsters in battle city, i think yugi's deck was Made dirty here
