- Hi guys, this video is pretty different, but I thought you might be curious about how much money an artist can earn after becoming a monetized RUclips partner (Ad Revenue). The journey has been a lot more difficult than I expected!
Some regions such as the United States have an earlier monetization tier at 3000 public watch hours and 500 subscribers. This gives them access to memberships, super chat and shops but no AdSense and RUclips Premium Revenue until they reach the standard requirements.

In my first year as a full-time RUclipsr, I mostly focused on short animations. I could only produce 1 or 3 a month because animations take a lot of time. Overall, from January 2023 to December 2023, I made $14k from estimated revenue!
But I have Split audiences, so most of viewer are just watching my shorts and not my long from. and on agave I make about $1,000-$2000 depending on how much I upload
This year, I am more focused on making longer content since I know it make a lot more in revue However, it feels like I am basically starting over since I am animating 8 minutes of a video and building up a new audiences =W= Every channel is different, and not all revenue is the same.

That's honestly amazing achievement, and thanks for providing your insight. Getting that first paycheck from RUclips is one of my favorite memories. I still remember it, there was lots of emotions involved. If it wasn't for my consistency and hard work (and a little bit of Famester of course), I probably wouldn't have made anything.

I would consider her already successful for such a small and young channel. I think most channels won't grow this fast so you won't earn as much as her. But this video is definitely exciting.

Not a lot of HK artist produce RUclips videos, at least in English that I know of, have you consider making videos sharing your experience as an artist in HK? IRL video of art markets or conventions, both as attendee and possibly as a vendor if you choose to do so. The ease or difficulty of accessing art supplies. Culture around being an artists in general. Heck, just inserting some slice of life stuff not entirely about art would be neat, like what do you snack on while drawing? RUclips now has dual audio track features, having a Cantonese option would be cool, especially with terminologies, it'll be just like TV shows in HK. On a side note, I love that character design video, it would be fun to watch you praise or roast characters from submitted by viewers.

I'd def be interested in seeing more vids that are just honest and address topics other art channels don't often go into. I watch tons of art videos on this site but a lot of them talk about the same stuff over and over. This is the first time I've seen one actually describe the youtube process and how much money a channel of this size is making. I feel like there are a lot of topics bigger art youtube channels don't often discuss, esp because they often exist only to herd people towards mentorship programs.

I really love how geniuine you are, i remember watching you on twitch, im a xonxept artist and i have mixed emotions about making money through education instwad of using art ro actually make products such as games but it shows that it is possible and probably much better in the long run, also i think long term this will give you way more money then working as a programmer. Very cool for you to be this transparent, ive never seen someone go down to their earnings for each video each day. I also never knew there could be practically a month or two worths of lag between published content and being payed, that part is wild.
