Ermaccer is such a GOD of modding.
I love that he named himself that, I hope one day he makes an Ermac mod for konquest in Armageddon to play as instead of Taven.
What he did with Rain is damn impressive too, because "backporting" elements from Armageddon is apparently very difficult, so he had to get creative
That unused stage has a giant unused teeth monster model attached to it. Must of been planned for a death trap of some kind.
Seeing Deception gameplay is really taking me back to my early 20s. What a cool idea for a mod. Deception was a solid game. I love the 3d era, warts and all
I also think this is the best look Sektor had to date, but I think the 3s era had some of the best designs for a lot of MK characters
I know him, its Ermaccer. he didnt only add Sektor, he added a lot of characters like MKDA NPCs and even Sareena, as well as bunch of other cool stuff

I know WB is wholly uninterested in the idea, but I would love a collection of all the PS2-era MK games.
And also MK4, which feels like something of a “lost chapter” to people like me, who really got into it during the PS2 era.
Never done a ladder of 4/G, it sucked. The kollection would cost like $60.
UMKD Sektor is breaking the game just like he was in MKG😂
Seeing the catacombs stage makes me think of some of the underrated stages in the 3D era, I hope we get stage dlc in mk1, I’d like to see the house of Peraka come back, that stage was sick.

Sareena and Sektor were in that one GBA port for Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. However, the ones from the mod don't seem to be based on those ones
Visually they are, but not really the stances. Sektor had Sambo in the TE if I recall?
This MKD content takes me back to my 8/11 years, loved the game, would spend hours in the amazing konquest or raging against Onaga...how I miss it.
The kamidogu made Onaga ridiculously easy.

Yes the Katacombs stage wasn't in the final product of MKD but it was still in the files. Nice to see in actual gameplay.

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and Mortal Kombat: Deception were the only MK games I ever had. Sektor is my favourite MK character and it is a shame he was not in Deception. I would have loved to have made him a team member in the awesome Chess Kombat.

Been seeing these mods for a good bit, glad to see you guys cover it! I already thought it was awesome that the PS2 Version got the Gamecube and PSP characters. Hopefully, Cyrax will on the horizon for UMKD, that way all 3 OG Cyborgs will be playable. Maybe even Cyber Sub-Zero if they mix and match stuff up a little more.
If Cyrax gets added, it'd be neat if his alternate costume is a yellow version of Sektors MKA primary similar to how Sektor has Cyrax DA primary (even though it is more likely a nod to the gba game as you mentioned)
We totally need a similar mod for MKX.

ermaccer is a LEGEND in the mk scene, even beyond that he made stuff for MUGEN (iirc i could be wrong) which is. wild
I was gonna say he could just port him over from Armageddon but that wouldn't work right? Not just the moves but also making the damage correct, fighting system, hitboxes etc I'm assuming need to be fit into MKD form. That is really impressive - he did not take a lazy route
How about a video about the worst match ups in every game? And/or a top of the most consistent counter pick from all time?
Love his mods, just kind of a pain having to rebuild the ISO each time he puts out an update.

This modded version of Deception is just great, I dunno if you're playing it on a Ps2 (if it's the case it's nuts to see how the mod can be handled by the console) if you ask me, but that aside, we have seen how the modding scene can make games more enjoyable (as in the case of Deception it was already enjoyable, but this gives it more life, and if we do playthroughs with the characters that appeared in Unchained+GCN Deception, we can easily add those endings while having a better quality gameplay-wise).
Looks like he's playing on emulator, but the mod can be played on actual hardware IIRC

Deception modding has really come far, i do hope one day its possible to get this working on real ps2 hardware or just in iso form without having to use a custom pcsx2 emu so i can use it on my retroid pocket 4.

flamethrower disables the player who got hit it from blocking for a short while(as of version 6) and you can use sektor tp to follow up for an insane combo or you can use missile if they are not too far

Been playing the new update and really enjoying it, already found some really cool combos with the 3 new characters, especially rain and Sektor. Also found some guaranteed grab setups

This may sound ignorant but, why not just play Armageddon?
Get ready to be insulted. Not by me, because i understand that not everybody needs to be aware of everything, so instead, i'll explain it to you.
For most people, Armageddon waters down the gameplay as a whole of the characters.
By being in Deception, they can have what was removed in Armageddon and in some cases, new ideas in terms of fighting styles/special attacks.
