The watch supposedly was sold at auction for 1.3 mil in 2020
I thought it came out being a fake as well as the man/story behind it?
@@jayv9619Nope it was legit
@@jayv9619no
@@jayv9619Nope
Nope
He bought it while in the military during the VietNam war.💪🇺🇲
He Looks like he bought it while he was in hogwarts
@@AABloodyAAlooks don't matter when you are willing to die for your country. Did you serve?
It was like a months pay too if I recall correctly
Looks a bit to young for that.
Yeah that war you lost 😂
My man fell out quick lord help me please he said 400k he’s like that’s all I need for a new life lol
The lady checked to see if he was ok
I’d say he probably feels better than he ever had lol
I was wondering when you were going to put this on your channel. I thinks it’s incredible.
Wonder if he got a haircut and retired to an island somewhere ?
😂
This watch was bought in my hometown Zweibrücken, Germany. They have another show where a guy bought a Rolex from the same dealer around the same time. Same thing big bucks.
Def had a disguise on
Salute !!! Get that bread 💪🏻
Reminds me of Only Fools and Horses😂😂😂
So happy for that guy.
Hindsight is always a trip but can you imagine if you had bought a few of those 😂😂
Rick Harrison: $100,000 is best I can do......
In Ruppies. I'd give ya $45 for it cause I can't tie up $50 for 3 weeks
That is really great, I'm glad he kept it. That's a $ million bucks in the bank.
This is a big "Thank you for your service"!! Very cool.😊
By the time taxes and auctioneer fees are paid he'll be lucky to walk away with a third of what it's worth.
This guy would’ve offered 27.36 lol
I can always tell the Vietnam vets who discovered cannabis over there this man went from a lean mean fighting machine to a gentle life loving hippy 😂❤ sometimes they are more deadly cause now when they fight a lot of thought has gone into it
A Paul Newman Rolex today in that condition would absolutely sell for over a million dollars
It's amazing what value is placed on certain things.
Local legend here in Fargo!
Easy Phil Harrison?😮😮😮😅😅😂😂😂
People with money buy the dumbest things for the most outrageous prices.
The show was on BBC about 3 decades ago.
So cool and couldn't have happened to a nicer gentleman
I can remember seeing this episode
That’s Awesome!!!!!
the rolex yachtmeister epstein edition
Just because there is a sticker on the back doesn't mean it hasn't been worn
Only thing that would suck is you can’t wear it lol
Crazy
I would collapse too if I found out that a watch that I bought for less than $450.00 years ago is now worth a cool $ million.😊
That’s cool but the buyer is nuts 🥜!!
So happy for a veteran! Our veterans should not have to depend on anything materialistic for his life to improve when our government should be making sure our veterans are well taken care of. Thank you for your service!
Who buys a watch and keeps it unworn for half a century, without any knowledge that it will be worth more in the future?
A person who puts it into a storage box and forgets it's there
There are alot of people who buy things and just kind of hoard them, I know a man who bought guns and left them in the boxes, he passed away and his grandson sold half of what he had for like 300k
That didn’t happen.
@@lukedorrington9712 yeah fake videos made featuring several different actors for absolutely no money? Happens all the time 🤣🤣 Do you know how dumb that sounds??
If you find the video on RUclips. He said he bought it and thought it was so wonderful. He didn't want to wear it and ruin it or lose it.
He bought the watch with his first pay check paid in full all papers including the receipt..!! didn't get wear it because got deployed during WW11 even after he never wore it..!! Brother and I talked about this Road Show on our together weekend visit...almost 2/3 years ago..!!
That's not cool. That's the bat shit crazy
Del Boy :D
I have the same exact watch from my father and all his paperwork, never worn in a safe
From the guy who says stickers don't matter... ale your mind up..😮
Ex CIA pilot 👌🏻
Thats cool as fuck, absolutely beautiful back story to him originally buying the watch while on deployment. Only dream of owning some of the timepieces Rpman shows here. Cheers 🍻
He did it on purpose as a Joke! That man is a Badass!!
Cool
The foil sticker on the back of the case says it's been quite a few times. I call b.s.
Looks like a disguise?
Sold it for 1.2 I think so minus auction tax and evrthing else he probably came out with 70k 😂
The difference is that it had gained true numismatic value over its original worth.
Good for him. I hope he gets the retirement he never thought he could afford.👍
Time piece gentlemen sold it for 7 million
Kris Kristofferson don't really need the money though.
I guarantee you that man saw some shit in Nam, and then he saw some more shit when he got back home from Vietnam to the U.S.
What a strange world we live in
People seem to really conflate the word "cost" with "worth" when its really not the cased. This watch isnt worth more than any other watch. Time isnt altered by the watch on your wrist. It tells the same time, in the same manner. It costs half a million dollars because there is some idiot out with with more money than sense that has lost the concept of value.
LMAO 💯👍
riveting
This guy single handily made me uninterested in watches
It is so easy to look up what this sold for. This guy puts zero effort into these shorts 😂
Rolex aways nomber one
Yeah but is it as cool as my 45 dollar meh watch from 1999?
This whole episode is fake, just look at that guy's outfit trying to look like a Vietnam Vet. Give me a break.
Ain’t no watch worth a mill sorry just not!
If you watch the full video, it's not NOS. The vid is a bit phony. Still a great watch tho.
English ?
@@imbusylad130 If you don't understand what I wrote, it's not my 'English' that's the problem.
Like this just for tv? most stereotypical "veteran" ever army colours long hair bandana beard . Cosplay goes hard , listen to my tales as he get piss drunk
Great return on investment, it’s like leaving $345 in a savings account that gets 20% . So who is going to buy a brand new Rolex in their 20s and save it unused now?
Cool
