What ever happens next year, I still hope Sly Cooper returns and I’m never giving up.
I agree. I am not giving on Sly cooper to and I hope Astro bot is the one that convincies Sony to make Sly Cooper 5 and free him from Egypt also gets the Recognition he deserves.
I've almost lost the hope for Sly Cooper's return defienitily after 2022 when Sly turned into 20 years old game serie and after may's state of play! Is there really a chance to get Sly Cooper back?

I think it has to be a combination of two things; AstroBot has to do Big Numbers, I think 3-4 Million Copies at the very minimum, and people will need to show the same level of support for Sly 2 & Sly 3 as they did the first game when those two arrive on the PS Store.
When they arrive., nobody knows when.
We need to support AstroBot and Sly Cooper by buying the games, playing the games to completion if possible, and continuing to talk about these games

If a PlayStation All-Stars 2 were to happen, and it were to have a Story Mode, think like Injustice 1 & 2, where you play as say Batman for 3-4 rounds before switching to another character, this way maybe Sly never ends up trapped in Egypt, but instead a corrupted amalgymation of all the PlayStation Universes, and Sly's Campaign becomes mostly about him finding his way back to his friends & Carmelita, and then teaming up with the PlayStation Heroes to defeat Polygon Man and his F.O.E's (Forces of Evil) aka the PlayStation Villains, that way if we don't get a New Sly Cooper Game, we can at least have him no longer trapped in Egypt.
If sly ever does come back it'll be thanks to this guy here
Honestly think we'd end up getting more games like Ape Escape and Patapon if Astro is successful. The form especially seeing as it has a similar vibe to Astro Bot.
I already know it will be if the first Sly Cooper was successful on PS5 and people actually showed up. I'm hoping this wakes them up!
I think you're missing the most important aspect of having a Sly Cooper Revival... There needs to be a dev team that's passionate about it and that wants to bring it back. I honestly think that's one of the major roadblocks to all the series you mentioned in this video. If Sucker Punch WANTED to make a Sly game im sure Sony wouldn't stand in their way. I think devs just sometimes want to move on and create something different. Then comes the questions if not Sucker Punch who is championing Sly Cooper to be made? You gotta find the right dev team that WANTS to make it

I see this game maybe doing 1 to 2 million copies at most unless it ends up being a big surprise hit and considering the amount games for 2024, which is a lot. It’s kind of tough to tell if it’s going to be successful and it’s a 3D platformer as well
But could be wrong, considering Astro playroom is technically available on all PS fives so that might contribute to more sales considering people who are interested in the game might give it a better chance if they play astro playroom but it is $60 and people usually only pay that type of money for Nintendo platformers

Ye I think since 1 did insanely well, 2 and 3 are definite. 4 would prob depend on the success of all three, and then if 4 does amazing, it may entice them to make a 5. Just my thoughts tho

@@ingram4056 thats true but tbh i think the release of the ps4 later the same year that sly 4 was released could be a reason as to why it didn't do as well. That and people didn't like the game. I personally loved it myself but that could just be me. Everyone switched to ps4 later the same year, and since 4 was only available on the ps3 the sales dropped like crazy. Just a thought that I've heard here and there.
I don’t think Astro bot will save just sly cooper, but all platforming games in general. Here’s how I see it astrobot not only sells good but also outsells other games from other companies, like say Microsoft, at that point they’d have to focus on that demographic, and what major company does Microsoft own that excels at platformers, toys for bob, and recently crash 5 was cancelled, so logically if Astro bot does that good they’d have to bring it back. If this game does good enough platformers will be back…
Toys For Bob jumped ship becoming an independent studio, as such is no longer owned by multi trillion worth company, Vicarious Visions is owned by them though they have been forced into a support yearly recycled fps studio
Unlikely it will outsell platformers within N considering their entire core audience has been supporting that genre for decades now
@@bamban_garcia5562 last night I was high on sugar so this idea of mine was just a bunch of ramblings, I can’t tell the future, though I am optimistic I’m also a realist. So o don’t know for sure.

Astro Bot is easily one of the best looking upcoming PlayStation games in 2024 just in my birthmont september and because I don't remember to see any Sly Cooper referenses in Astro's PlayRoom PS5 free launchgame I really hope there is some references about Sly Cooper in Astro Bot and it would be our best chance to get Sly Cooper back it must happen because Sly 4 Thieves in Times ended to a cliffhanger and Sly Cooper is now almost 22 years old video game franchise Sony's best Playstation series and my childhood's first video game experience so we need to get Sly Cooper back in buisness: Once a Thief, always a Thief! 🦝💙
