1:39:07 to 1:50:24 I know everyone would've raced differently but if this race were 400 miles like Fontana races are now that would've been a pretty good battle for the win between Rusty Wallace, Bobby Labonte, and Jamie McMurray.
wow. the difference of the Fox crew's energy now and their energy then is astonishing. now broadcasts are almost as boring as baseball. (baseball is great at the ballpark though) its time to change things up a little and bring some new guys in. i would miss Darrell and Mike Joy (Keep Larry) but i think it would help the sport
2:32:32 Look at cars just FLYING by Johnson's wrecked car. It's pretty lucky someone wasn't brained in the drivers door and killed during the race back to the flag era, although it was fun to watch.

At first, I thought the incident on the final lap was Johnson getting revenge on Martin after what Martin did to him in the 2002 Fall race at Talladega during the pace laps. But after looking at the replay, it turns out Johnson just lost control by himself, and Martin just so happened to be next to him. Not sure if they words for each other after the race, but I'm sure no harm was done. Shit happens sometimes. LOL.
i really liked Kurt Busch's 2003 Silver and Red Sharpie scheme that was a nice-looking paint job.
My first NASCAR race. Reason I started following Kurt. So many memories.
Jerry Nadeau's last race :(
Also I think the 2013 and the 2000 races could match his race. They were all exciting.

Fantastic racing at Fontana of all places!

the old days of nascar lol its changed in the past years i watched it when i was a kid
and now i
don't know some driver names since they changed
Not a bad race, especially considering the fact that at the time many fans thought Fontana was the worst track.
This was the 1st great race of this speedway

+Cj Buford Yeah, no wonder it got changed in 2004 - several high-profile incidents, including at Sonoma I believe, forced the rule change.
actually, it was later in 2003, but i believe the final straw was an incident with Dale Jarrett that ended it.
